Excellent video. This worked for my issue. The shutter somehow released on my 80 mm lens as I was mounting it to my Hasselblad 500 C, before the bayonet was fully turned and the lens fully installed. The shutter was in then in the released state but the lens was not fully mounted. This procedure let me remove the lens. Thank you. With the knowledge from this generous video, this is fairly simple work, but you must have a good screwdriver and tweezers help.
This video was the solution to my trouble. Thank you so much Annie78. I would add that the first part, where you detach the left upper screw and turn the right lower one to the right a bit, deflects the beam that is the extension of the gear shaft and spring is separated from the base, and that allows to lens to be removed. In my case, the mirror flipped up and the auxiliary shutter behind opened But once the lens is detached, the camera itself continues jammed. In my case, I could not wind the crank (knob), press the shutter or lower the mirror. Once you return the right lower screw to the original position, by turning it to counterclockwise, and the beam and base are pressed together, the camera system returns to the original position, and you can rewind the crank and operate the camera. As it is shown on the first replay, when you press the two metal parts of the body, it can be seen that the gears are now free to turn, which lets the camera mechanism also free. At first, when the lens is detached, you think that everything is solved, and you get concerned when you see the camera jammed. You get a big surprise when you the camera return to the normal position once you press the two metal parts together' Thank you again for your thorough work!
Google translated your comment. I don't know if I completely understand it. Has your hasselblad been fixed? If you still have problems, take them to a camera store. It's wonderful that you watched this video and challenged.
thank you so much!! got my camera jammed by incorrectly removing the macro tube, and this saved me!! your shots showing how tightening the second screw interacts with the pin on the lens mount were great! gave me confidence to do it myself. 🎉❤
Didn't realise you couldn't remove the lens+extension tube so they got stuck on my 500cm. Everywhere online suggested an expensive fix. Only you actually showed how to do it, simply. Thank you very much!!!
Big thanks for this video. I was on an island in Bass Strait, Tasmania, Australia when my 'blad jammed after taking off an extension tube the wrong way. Your video got me back shooting again when I thought all was lost. My bracket needed a pretty firm pull after loosening the screws, so take note viewers. Anyway, got some great shots AND saved a heap of money for a pro repair. Keep it up! Justin.
There is Hasselblad specialized tool in this trouble. However, another method is required when a problem is serious. This method is help, when a gear gears deeply and is crowded. This method is a method safely solvable at the time of a serious illness level.

Hello there! Do you know what happens if I try to use the 500c/m without the screw (and the plate) you've unmounted on this video? Everything seems to work in the same way..
Hi, great video! I have just purchased a Hasselblad and had this problem, the video helped a lot and my body now works fine. However, I am having trouble re-cocking the lens - the shutter is closed and it won't let me turn the coin all the way around. Any ideas on a fix?
Hello! I thought about your lens trouble. But I'm not looking at your lens directly, so I don't know the exact cause. Usually, you can use a coin to turn it smoothly. There may be a problem with the internal parts of your lens... Check the cause of the lens in a specialized repair shop. I'm sorry for not serving you. I pray for the recovery of your lens!
hey annie! two days ago my Hasselblad500CM jammed with the extension tubes on and I did take it apart but experienced a problem - the right screw (which should be tightened) fell somewhere into the body and now I cannot find it.. can you please give me some advice what to do now?
Hello. Don't you hear something when you tap the camera lightly? Are there any screws behind the back shutter? Maybe the screw got stuck somewhere. I don't know until I pick up your camera and touch it. Please don't touch the camera any more. Seek help from a trusted camera repair shop. May your camera come back to life!
Annie, I have watched your video several times and would like to try this because my lens is stuck and won't come off the camera. Is the first two steps you showed all you need to do. I understand these two steps. You also said something about an opened space closed is this something I have already done in the 2nd step or do I need to do something else. It is hard to see in the video you showing the open space closed. Please help me. Mary
Mary, Do you difficult to close the gap that has opened? Did you loosen the right-hand side of the screw? (I'm sorry I do not know if they can correctly translate your message,,)
hello Annie. I Have a a12 magazine (500c 1966). Film magazine jammed after I loaded a film incorrectly. You know some technique to get release and remove the magazine. Thanks
I would like to help your problem. However, since there is little information, advice is very difficult. What is your Hassel Brad's kind? 500CM? Doesn't a 「back shutter」 open? why Did it become impossible to take off a lens? When a problem is complicated, it may be difficult for you to repair by yourself…
I do not know If you do not see the Hassel of you ... 1, the camera body or has been the winding? 2, the lens shutter or not closed? Please open the shutter with a coin if you closed if. It is not possible to appropriate advice If you do not see the state of your camera. I am sorry. Please ask for help to a nearby camera store. I am sorry…
Please ANNIE7B, Do you think that a problem in which the body is not triggering the lens when you depress the button (but do it when you relax the button) is related to the elements described in this video?
This video is a trouble that occurred during lens exchange. However, attention is necessary because Hasselblad's shutter button has a long stroke. If you hesitate to press a button while holding your finger on the shutter button, occasional problems will occur. That is because the shutter button's stroke is long. When cutting the shutter, it is important to hold down to the end surely. Did I answer your question?
Thank you but no, that is not my problem. My problem is that the camera will not trigger the shutter in the lens when I press the shutter button. But lens if working fine (it works normally in a different body). It is a problem in the body: it looks to me that the driving shaft (in the front of the body), when I press the shutter button, does not turn enough to trigger the shutter in the lens. Since the driving shaft will turn a bit more when I relax the shutter button, then it triggers the lens shutter, but this is too late (and wrong), since the body will at the same time close the rear flaps. So it looks like the driving shaft need to be adjusted to turn a bit more (1mm maybe) and then successfully trigger the shutter in the lens when I press the shutter button in the body (normal operation)
I'm sorry for the late reply. I also asked my boss about your Hasselblad problem. ... but I could not get an answer. I can not get an answer unless I look at your camera, touch it and check it. However, I think that it has nothing to do with my video. I am sorry that I can not help you. Please take it to a special repair shop.
This video is a trouble at the time of lens exchange. If your lens does not matter, I think it is a matter of the body. It is not related to this video.

this is different from when the lens is *fully attached* and fired/jammed. in that case you can recock it via the center screw like you say.
the partially detached case can happen from incorrect use of macro tubes. specifically, removing a tube while a lens is still attached to it. in this case, the lens is not connected to the cocking screw, and turning it does nothing.
