I've been there brother. the only thing you should keep in mind is that time changes everything. your today is not indicative of what your tomorrow is. to be honest you are one of the most talented people i have ever seen in this space. and i truly truly from the bottom of my heart believe u are gonna get places. and i just wanna say keep ur head up and move forward. because what u are going through right now is going to change pretty soon for the better.❤
@@YOGOMANinAK when the change happens not if but when please don't change and keep being yourself! I just discovered your channel recently and it's great!
I found your videos at the start of the pandemic which is hard to believe was two years ago. While I haven't done anything insane you have inspired me to try to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I read the book Into The Wild because of you and it was the first time in years I had read something that wasn't assigned. The work you do is worderful and unbelivably well filmed, so I think we can all understand the cost. When ever you can find the time, we''ll be here thank you for it.
There is smth crazy around. I've the same feeling, living in deep Siberian forests. I've graduated too and have no idea to do and... I stoped any bad habbits. No tobacco, no alcohol for 12 years. But i still can't sleep at night. Hope you'll survey!
Thanks for sharing those thoughts, I truly hope you keep finding time every now and then to produce these videos because I absolutely love them! I wish you all the best, much love from Germany!
Thanks for sharing your place and you’ve done a fair bit to it in a short time to make it home. I’m 48, comfortable, have a good home etc and have realised the need to live more simply / resourcefully. Currently working on a small dry cabin design (plus off grid) as a future step; that’s how I found you while researching. Please don’t underestimated the wealth of experience and grit you are building from this experience. I’m now trying to find ways to bring more discomfort and manual effort back into my life; it will keep me grounded, active and grateful. I believe we learn when we’re out of our comfort zone and if you can master this at 24, you’ll open yourself up for opportunities that many others will not see… all the best with it, enjoy….👍
Life is beautiful no matter what. But remember you have just one life, and believe me try to do the things you truly love, because if you don’t, one day you will regret that you didn’t
You do a great job pacing your videos, moving to new segments, not staying too long on each one. Impressive! And the northern lights! That's the whipped cream and cherry on top! My wife and I have stayed in a dry cabin during cold winters, using a catch basin for the water. Totally doable with electricity and heat. Very cozy and peacefully quiet.
I just wanna say I was looking for outdoors videos of the mtns in Alaska and I found your channel. I started watching all of your videos are they’re truly amazing. I can tell how much passion and effort you’ve put into every video you’ve made. These videos are masterpieces, your channel deserves so much more recognition. Rooting for you in life man. Keep being you
When I see these in my recommended I get excited to watch these. I love alaska and these are by far the best videos out there. Makes me want my own winter home up there. You have some crazy talent and thanks for the vids👌
So dude, I watch your video's to see your adventures, the way you film and capture the nature around you inspires me on my own filming adventures, but a big part of me continuing to watch is your personality, your a cool guy i'd like to hang with and adventure with. You got the filming / editing passion ... sooooo ... I'm looking forward to your next video. (glad to see your ok)
That's legit man! Living the Alaskan dream. I have friends in Fairbanks living in a similar fashion, and my aunt and uncle (RIP) started off living dry and off of a generator when they built their first house in Tok. Said house is now a detached garage, after building a proper house some 30 years ago, with water and the works.
I've not been a subscriber for long, having stumbled upon your channel fairly recently. Your videos are amazing and inspire me to go out an explore new places out in the wild. I'm about to graduate and don't know exactly what I want to do yet. Prioritising doing something you love versus something that will pay well has got to be one of the most difficult things. I hope you still find the time and money to create content as it would be a real shame not to see your videos popping up in my feed. Love from Scotland
Thank you! and yea that's been my dilemma. I fear that I'll start working and then won't have the time or energy to keep creating, but I know I'll have to find a balance between the two. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the support!
Hey Ian, look man it’s always a bright moment when I see your video pop up on my page. Just know you are among many who have been in this situation before, you are not alone. I nearly never comment on peoples videos except yours. You have talent and I’m sure you inspire many people including myself. The way you create just stands out, so you have to keep believing in yourself. Just know you will get through this, take some time to focus on yourself. Just know the universe works in mysterious ways, and I look forward to seeing you back on your feet again. Take as much time as you need, I’ll be right there when you are back and I look forward to seeing you again. Much love.
Amazing to think I originally found your channel because of the centriphone video, and look where you’ve come. I look forward to every video! Greetings from Korea.
Welcome to Goldstream mate!! That’s a great spot you have, I dig the loft. I would highly recommend a ‘flojet’ electric pump- can hook up to that faucet you have there.
Glad to see you again. Your not alone. Yours truly had to step back and seek help. Hard to admit it but sh!t happens, especially these last 2 yrs. Don't be afraid to reach out and talk to someone! God Bless!!!
I can't overstate how much I love the feel that your videos have. They're just so real and authentic. You're one awesome guy and I truly appreciate you.
if you have a shed you can install a small shower stall in a corner, and use a battery powered shower hose pump in your water bucket. Or just use the shower hose pump outside if you prefer outdoor showers. They're pretty cheap on amazon!(:
While although I appreciate the update, by no means ever feel pressured to ever give us an update. You owe nothing to us and have every right to take a break and take care of yourself. I've struggled with my mental health for 6+ years, and while although I am not in your shoes, I know how you feel. I am a month away from graduating college and have no idea where I want to go, or what I want to do. But sometimes that is okay and there is nothing wrong with that, even though it is a struggle. Remember that you are most important to yourself, and you can only help others, and do things you truly enjoy when you take care of yourself. I've been lucky enough to enjoy watching your videos for the past 5ish years, and I hope to see many more. There is something different about how you create, and I am honestly surprised you don't have millions of subscribers yet. I can not wait until I see another one of your amazing videos pop up on my subscriptions tab, but in the meantime take good care of yourself. ❤
I went to college with Coral and she showed me your channel in like 2016 and I've watched every one of your videos since. I feel you man, I studied engineering and kinda hate it, I just want to do photography. Either way if you ever can post a video I will always be excited be excited to watch it ❤️
Thankyou for sharing these thoughts! Even though your channel hasn’t blown up. You have a really amazing style that I love and makes me excited whenever I see a notification. I truly think you tell the best story’s and showcase amazing adventures people would be lucky to do once a lifetime. Wow those are some harrowing experiences that you’ve gotten through I’m sorry for all the pain you’ve gone through. Have happy thoughts and enjoy your new dry cabin:)
Damn! You are so grown up since last time I saw you in Fairbanks when you were taking pics of me during the Aurora lights, it was beginning of March 2020 right before the lockdown 🫢 By the way you still can put a dishwasher and assemble a water tank for it, just lay a pipe from the second floor so it would have enough pressure. A standard dishwasher consumes just 4 gallons of water.
Lovely cabin. Perhaps consider buying a small piece of land and building your own cabin. harvest and mill your own wood if possible and build it modular so that you could expand it over time. Nothing quite like having your own spot.
I'm living in a damp cabin atm. It's actually so nice, but I'm fairly certain I saw you at the Buffalo tonight in Delta. I didn't wanna be a creep, so I didn't come up to you. But I do love your videos.

Is it not a thing to have poly tanks to collect rain water ? In winter it would freeze unless it is insulated. The rest of the year fresh water. Common in Australia
Oh, no, on top of all that your Chocolate Easter Bunny is headed to Anchorage, not Fairbanks! Grandpa would like buy you a ticket to fly to Michigan, and play some dominoes!
Yea! Water jugs are expensive, but I recommend buying more. Cause water is cheap and gas is expensive. Also having more water makes doing dishes a lot easier. You don’t need it right now.. but in the winter you will definitely want to have a heater in your outhouse.
I'm impressed, especially for someone your age to be living like this. I'm Jealous if I'm honest. Can I make one suggestion? When washing dishes..I would put the blue jug on the left side..so it don't cool off your hot water and fill your already almost full sink up :). As you rinse, it will continue to rese the dishes you've already put in the drainer. There has to be a better way to bathe...than going outside this time of year :O. Kitchen sink or at least get ya a big round pan and do a Whore Bath, you know...just wash the stinky areas LOL.
Haven’t watched your channel since 2020, as I was supposed to move to Fairbanks in September of that year, but the landlord of the property ended up in jail for battery.
Every day I tell myself... It's only the beginning... And it works... Just do your job and you'll be fine... I speak English very bad, I hope I didn't spout some nonsense here=)

You need yourself a trailer like me yo
Did you build your cabin and do you own it
I don't understand why everyone views this video as depressing. I would find living in a dry cabin fun
