This vlog I Build a DIY portable wood fired hottub from scratch! For the frame of the hottub I used sheets of 16 gauge sheet metal and welded on heavy duty casters to be able to move it around. I put 1.5in foam board on as insulation and thin ply wood as siding. The hottub weighs a little more than 150 pounds and takes around 260 gallons to fill. In total the hottub cost a little over a 1000 usd to build with the bulk of the cost being the sheet metal.
I hope y'all enjoy the video! Thanks for watching!

You should add and overflow drain at the top to prevent accidental water spillage into the fire.

And if you wanna be real fancy, maybe a solar powered water pump to keep the water a consistent temperature

    Thanks for sharing.
I built a sauna on wheel also, so I totally understand the feeling of building these things :) enjoy now

nice build. you could add a solar pond pump to circulate the water, super cheap but effective. it would warm up much more quickly.

YOGOMAN! Just wanna say bro I'm a big fan. You are one of my biggest inspirations to move up here to Alaska Fairbanks. Ive been going on big hikes and adventures for these past couple months. What communities or groups do/did you like being around. I have looking for more people to broaden my horizons.

Thank you! Well.. I'm probably not the best person to answer that question, cause I'm pretty lucky since most people I hang around and hike with are people I grew up with. So I got lucky that my closest friends are interested in the same stuff i'm into and through them I meet other people that're into hiking, backcountry, hunting etc..
Though.. if you're coming here and don't know people to do this stuff with I'd join some hiking facebook groups. There's plenty of backcountry/ mountaineering people that are posting stuff of the regular. Also taking a mountaineering, skiing, avalanche course will introduce you to those kinda people. If that's the communities/ groups you're hoping to find! Hope this helps!

    No more adventuring? where's Shane?
Your adventure video's inspired me, since watching you out there doing your thing, I've been to AK twice and in 30 days I'll be back hiking Reed Lakes Trail because you made it look so cool. I'm stuck watching all your old adventures, I dont mind but some new adventures would be cool. Peace.

Oh I've plenty of adventures planned! The only problem is that I'm kinda an adult now.. I have a full time job and responsibilities or whatever... This makes going on adventures and working on projects more difficult and time restraining. I can't just pack my backpack and go on an adventures whenever I feel like it anymore.. Believe me. I miss those days too. Though making money is nice cause I feel more comfortable spending money on a project like this one. Learning how to weld has been something i've wanted to do for really long time. It also gives me something to look forward to and work on in my free time.
Next video will be an adventure vlog! I promise ;)

Hey Yogoman, good to see you again. It’s amazing what you can fabricate and build from scratch if you know what you are doing. Really nice hot tub you made there.
How are you doing up there, how’s the job? Is that the same girl you’ve been dating?
I hope you are doing well. 😎

Very good idea , what type of welder did you used ,

  • @cliffburton6396
    @cliffburton6396 10 місяців тому

Hello Yogaman! You have good ideas, but the implementation is always lacking. The drainage pipe to completely drain the water needs to be made from below and through a 90° bend of the faucet and it will be convenient, especially since you will have 15 cm of ground clearance. But the main thing is safety, install a solid grate in front of the stove wall, otherwise you will get burned when you accidentally touch it with your butt)😂

Great hot tub Bijan, but did you really need to cut down entire forests in South America to build it, displacing thousands of native animals?

What happened at just after 00:38? You don't have any neighbors near by, right? I hope I'm not going to knock you guys into left field, but I have a feeling you two live out off grid somewhere like Canada and don't have any close neighbors, at least not any that need to wear cloths and have a warm roof over their head.
Based on the reactions of you two, it looks like, perhaps she has said something to him about her thinking that there are some big n hairy folks living in their woods and he didn't really believe it was the case. Her laugh had an essence of "I told you" to it and his face said "what the f u c k ?" 🤯
Funny as hell, because at that point I had to listen to it a few times before finally slowing it down to hear it good enough to confirm the words spoken afterwards, did not come from one of us "little hairless folks". 😉
