Did you spot any awesome Easter Eggs when you saw Onward?!
SuperCarlinBrothers I heard at the end when the “Step Dad” gets a call saying “I’ve got A 113 in progress”
I was too distracted to catch anything 😔
DeoxyNacid I always make that mistake 😂
SuperCarlinBrothers when the brothers are in the car looking at the map in the top left corner is the “brave wilderness” you know from Pixar’s “BRAVE”
I think when they went on that blocked off exit and were chased by the police car that was a reference to Cars 1
I feel like Pixar keeps coming up with movies thinking “There’s no way this can fit into the Pixar theory” because it’s supposedly been debunked and then J and Ben come along and be like “watch us” Pixar’s response is 🤦♂️🤦♀️
Highland Dancer Except a lot of Pixar movies fit so well into the Pixar theory that it sometimes feels like they’re consciously building into their movies. Coco for example fits so perfectly they didn’t even have to try that hard. I think Soul will fit nicely too in with the likes of Inside Out and Coco.
George Newman oh for sure! I do believe that the Pixar theory is true! Their movies fit together so well! I just though I had heard that people at Pixar said it wasn’t a thing. I could be totally wrong however.
@@highlanddancer8671 It isn't a thing. Pixar explicitly said it wasn't. And most of the ways these movies fit into this theory just simply don't make sense. They always give a lot of reasons how it would work, but ignore all of the gaping plot holes.
Th.El.Co._1 I don’t think even J and Ben think the Pixar Theory is a real thing. It’s just a fun mental challenge to try to get them to all fit.

This is something I'm willing to chew into
Maybe instead of everyone dying in the crash, there were survivors and those survivors interbred with the creatures from Onward, and that's the reason why they look like humans and why magic is "going extinct"
Please, I don't want to think about bestiality in a pixar movie
Honestly, I feel like I wouldn't put it past humans to interbreed with magical creatures...
maybe if it was a tim burton movie 🤡🔫
Yep
Maybe the planet had radiation that caused dramatic changes in the people's looks. Like having elf ears, hooves, fish features exe exe.
At this point I want a movie called “The Pixar Theorem” where a new character has to fix the timeline by traveling through these movies and the antagonist is BnL
No joke i would love that

That would be really creative, maybe as a short film or perhaps... The final movie in the Pixar theory, like how Endgame ended an era of the mcu?

Guys I found A113 in Onward!! At the end, Colt, the boys' mom's boyfriend, police radio goes off saying "we've got a 1-13!"

For all the people curious about the spell using the word “earth”:
In the official subtitles for Onward, the spell used to bring back the dad says “one day to walk the earth”. The subtitles do not capitalize “earth”, so this means they are not talking about our planet Earth. The spell is referencing earth as dirt/rock that some planets are made of.
Lol our planet it named Dirt.
@@thatguywithanumbrella no matter the language 😂 we named our planet ground
Dictionary.com say this: "It is acceptable to leave *earth* lowercase and use *the* with *earth* if you are talking about it as the planet we live on: 'The earth rotates on its axis.'"
@@tails-spin0139
In the WALL E script to screen video on the official Pixar UA-cam channel, they capitalize Earth when talking about the planet. I would assume Pixar to be consistent across movies with their capitalization. Also in the official subtitles for WALL E, Earth is capitalized.
@@katerinaluv2806 Ok, that's a good point. I find that to be more believable.

Honestly this theory is missing a lot, however, I think we all may have missed something with “Raven’s point”. Analyze the Raven from Brave with the Raven statues in Onward. I’ll definitely have to re-watch Brave but I think that’s a good place to start. The Witch basically disappears at the end of Brave. Where does she go? Does she create a portal? Where to? Does Boo realize that since there’s a monster portal and universe, there’s more out there too. I think this may be how Onward fits into everything. Just another portal just like Monster’s Inc? Please do a video on this.
Schuyler Thompson I think the same as you! Maybe the raven is hidden in other movies too but no one was looking. And maybe we should not just look for the raven but what the raven is pointing at 🤔

@@satsujin-shathewitchkingof6185 That would make a lot of sense!

Reven_Ren I actually loved that, the fact that it wasn’t a “perfect happy ending”, that Ian didn’t get to see his father OR keep the magical staff thing. It’s kind of like punching us as an audience in the face with “yes this is realistic and relatable.”
@@forgemakesstuff2734 But he still keeps the splinter staff, which I think still can be magical.
TrevTheTree true
After watching the movie, my mind kinda went the “Horton Hears a Who” direction. Because they keep saying they live in New Mushroomton. So I was thinking they were a small society living on a mushroom.
I feel like this theory could be a bit of a stretch, but it still makes sense. I think you have it.
I saw another Wall-E connection: the pixies and the manticore forgetting how/losing the ability to fly is just like how the Axiom passengers become so reliant on technology that they don’t even walk anymore.

What if Onward acts as a “Phase 2” for Pixar movies/ Pixar Theory. Think about it. Maybe from now on, Pixar movies may be about what happened after other Axium ships landed on other planets. How they grew, developed, evolved, and survived. Think about it
Carrson Canady if that means we get s another 22 Pixar movies over the next 20/25 years then I’m all for it
Sem Mutalindwa perhaps
The next Pixar movie is soul which would imo take place around the time of toy story possibly incredibles considering the theory so this may not be true D:

James Charles: hey sisters
Supercarlenbrothers: hey brothers
SCB and James Charles collab where they go "hey siblings"
Do you still believe in love I wonder
I think Onward is the mere imagination a teen(hint -Inside Out). It also explains where all these human like objects must’ve come from. We also clearly see a coming of age story throughout the whole story. It began with a child’s imagination where magic was real and what child doesn’t believe in magic. As that child imagination matures magic disappears.
The sign at the restaurant Ian goes to before school said "Now serving second breakfast" nice Hobbit reference.
Ben Richards YES I saw that too!

I really hope pixar makes like an after credit scene in a future movie that acknowledges the pixar theory. Not necessarily to set up a crossover movie like the mcu, more so as a nod to the fans for such an elaborate and great theory.
Ethan Magbuhos the problem with that is that if they do that then people would want the crossover movie
I’ve always wanted to know what the people at Pixar think of the theory and their take on it. 🤔😁

The movie made a point with Ian’s staff telling us that magic comes from every piece of wood within in the staff, meaning it comes from the trees, and other natural sources (magic can’t be done without wood from the planet or without a gem also formed from the planet’s natural resources), meaning magic isn’t within the citizens of whatever planet Onward takes place on, but rather magic is within the planet itself, so I think it makes more sense that the Axiom crashed and the humans actually survived the crash, began inhabiting the new planet, and the planet’s magic eventually evolved those people into mythical creatures over time. This would also explain why everything about Onward’s citizens seem so human and almost exactly the way things are on earth, because they used to be humans inhabiting earth. If radiation can turn humans into monsters in this theory than a magical planet can also turn humans into mythical creatures over time.
James Scarborough did you watch the movie? because it shows that they originally had no technology and through advancements magic was forgotten
James Scarborough except it is shown to partially be w/i people because only certain people can use it. ie. Ian’s dad, Ian, and the other wizards.
So it makes sense that it was within the citizens as well.
JasonTubes Yeah, but I don’t think it’s a leap to say that humans, after discovering magic abandoned technology for it then over time resorted back to technology after becoming more experienced with how less practical magic is.
Josh Collins or it just presents itself differently in every human, it’s magic, there aren’t exactly rules, it gives some people horse legs and the ability to run 70 mph and it gives others the innate ability to wield it. It’s the same as how on earth some humans are immune to certain poisonous plants or venoms, different humans react to natural phenomenons (which is what I’m calling magic on the Onward planet) differently.
Or they forgot about technology because it was all destroyed in the crash
Jonathan Carlin: It's ALWAYS Buy N Large!" LOL
Pixar: I DONE IT, FINALLY, PEOPLE WONT THINK ABOUT THE PIXAR THEORY!!!!!,
These Guys: COINCEDENCE?,
I THINK NOT!!!!!,
Raven's Point looks nothing like the axiom. And I see it as even more ridiculous as a nose dive crash landing.
This theory is solid. Especially the Raven’s Point thing. But, how did the creatures get there? These things ARE fantasy creatures, like Unicorns. How could humans have known about these things to make myths about them? Well I think that it comes back to Boo. I think she tried to use her magic to bring back Sulley but instead made fantasy creatures a kin to her childhood. She then transported these creatures to a random planet. Then the Axiom thing happens.
Though that’s just my theory
Edit: We know there are fantasy creatures here because of a notebook that’s in Monster’s University that has a griffin on it.
Or possibly she tried to bring them to her and it went wrong and brought a few of their creatures here where they just stayed. That's why there are so few of them and that's why they stay hidden, they are scared, and keep away from us because they dont know our kind. They already existed on another planet, she just couldnt get it right for a very long time.
A GaME ThEoRY
@KipsUnited i agree but your theory doesn't quite fit because the humans returned and became the monsters (in the pixar theory) due to the pollution and the axiom ship would most likely have crashed on this planet prior to, during, or shortly after the events of Wall-E because the ship that eventually crashes would have most likely received a message to return to earth when the ship from Wall-E does return, so in my opinion either the ship was on its way back to earth, because of the message from the people that returned, leading to them crash landing or they had crashed at a point prior to the humans return to Earth in Wall-E (whether the crash was during or prior to the events of Wall-E is technically irrelevant in my theory)
Brig's Comics YES!!!! But this is a FiLm ThEoRy
Well actually, I don't know if it's fair to beleive that humans have myths about them, if you see the PCU as a separate entity then our reality then they never actually mention knowing about myths or anything. It's possible that sense this is an alternate reality that the humans don't have mythological creatures or anything.
"Because it's *always* Buy N Large"
J you basically described the entire pixar theory in 6 words
(Assuming u count the N in Buy N Large as a word)
So everyone on that planet forgot how magic works, but also that a massive space ship gave them new technology.
At first I thought it would have no place in the pixar theory. I love how they always have a place for it and somehow it all makes since!
Did anyone else think when J said “rising like a Phoenix” at the end of the video he was going to say “and that’s how Onward fits into Harry Potter!”??

Every movie would be a different universe.
Aka, basically, if there was never a pixar theory.
@@Totally_Bonkers I would like to see Pixar make a movie dealing with the multiverse.
@@Totally_BonkersI like to think of monsters ink as a multiverse, not weird evolved humans. I feel like everyone getting mutated due to radiation defeats the point of WALL-EE.
@@LakesideTreyit doesn’t defeat the point. They still come back to their planet and regain their home. But that doesn’t take away all of the consequences completely.
It looks like when the shot showing the country side before modern life in the beginning where all the little pointy hills are (when Ian's dad is talking about magic and wonder) that the smaller bnl ships also crash landed on the onward planet. We can then assume the Axiom, presumably the main ship lost contact with the rest of the fleet and eventually forgetting they exist. The ships could have had engine fails and nose dived into the onward planet. That's just my guess based on the theory about the other Axiom ship.
Has anyone else noticed how similar Onward is to Frozen? We just watched it as a family. Siblings, a quirky, goofy, one who loves with all their heart. The other feels different, full of fear and Magical. They go on an adventure to discover that all they needed was each other all along.❤️

I’m wondering if the habitants of the planet had access to information of peak human technology then why did they evolve their tech at the same rate as ours instead of going straight to the top?
That would also explain why they have a highway that leads straight to the mountain. They probably have a science lab there studying the different things and how they work and where to start.
elves and fairies and centaurs are present in our earth's folklore. Meaning that maybe our legends of these creatures came from alien encounters? I dont know if that debunks the theory or adds just another fascinating layer
I think Onward is a book/story that Andy wrote after college. My reasons are:
Andy and Ian both have no dad.
Andy’s bed frame has a moon next to his window, which displays another moon.
Ian’s world has infrastructure and stuff, and we know Andy BIG imagination, BIG

The only thing I'd disagree with is that there were already inhabitants on the planet that just learned from the Axiom... Ian and Barley's species (elves??) look WAY too human, not to mention there was a scene at the beginning where a character is in the process of inventing electricity-- that's definitely not in line with them taking information from the Axiom.
My personal theory is that the Axiom crashed, the humans couldn't figure out how to get it working again, and eventually decided to forge their own lives using whatever magic they were able to harness from the planet. After a while they evolved, forgot about their origins, and then cycled back around with the technological inventions. It's totally possible that some knowledge of traditional technology was passed on, so inventors took inspiration from those old tales and figured out that they work pretty well (no need to reinvent the wheel, as they say) which is why they're so similar to our technology
Yeah that was what I was thinking, and it seems more likely. But one thing though, if this theory is correct, where did the elves learn magic? How would they know magic even existed to begin with? It’s not a bad theory, but it just seems like a stretch if you throw in the part on magic and everything.
This comment has only 10 likes? Really people?

The bit about the elves looking human - if they’re carbon based life forms and the conditions on the planet are similar to the ones on earth it’s not impossible that they look similar to humans.
Sorry but why would the humans evolve into magical creatures? That’s not how Evolution works, you don’t just become half horse. And plus there’s other non-human like animals such as their pet dragon on the planet too.
I think the simpler answer is them discovering wo tricot y is when they figured out how to copy it from the Axiom.
1:56 its the nose. THEY HAVE THE SAME NOSE. lol! how did I never notice this!?!?!? XD
Now I know what onward 2 is going to be about
Applause more applause another great Pixar theory video
Pixar: the Pixar theory isn’t real
Ben & J: hold our Carlin bros. Coffee
For 5 days!! The only thing I thought about after I watched the movie was how you guys would put it in the universe!
“Do you agree or are you wrong?” Oh, moons.
i like the idea of triple dent gum surviving the end of earth's habitability, mankind taking refuge in the stars through supermassive starliners, and one of said starliners subsequently crashing on another planet because it's jingle was THAT catchy.
Plot twist:
*Ian is the love child between Linguini and Remy.*

Why did you make me read this with my own two eyes.
@@hannahwren6289 I actually don't have an answer for that!

I agree with that Raven's Point is crashed BNL ship but I think at least some of the humans survived. In similar way as monsters are humans from technological pollution, I believe these magical creatures are result of "magical pollution", gradually changing the humans based on their memories of magical creatures.
The reason why we first see this medieval fantasy is because people after seeing what destruction technology can cause, decided to use the abundant magic of this planet instead.
All the creatures there being originally human would also explain how can Centaurs and Elves be genetically compatible.
Basic timeline:
1. BNL makes everyone leave Earth.
2. One ships crashes on Earth like planet with abundance of magic.
3. Humans decide to reject modern technology and live simpler almost amish-like lives.
4. Abundance of magic causes humans to mutate based on their memories of magical creatures over time into these magi-humans.
5. Over course of time, humans decide to explore this planet, based on past ideas of high adventure fantasy.
6. With magic seemingly getting "thinner" and hard to master, magi-humans start to innovate and progress more to urban life, similar to ours.
7. With little to no magic users, most start to ignore past existence of magic.
There is an alternative of this being Mars after being terraformed by BNL but being abandoned due to magical interference.
I might have explained my thought wrong and I am sorry if that is the case.
Since we've established magic is genetic, maybe you're right and humans did survive the crash. They fell in love and reproduced with magical creatures. This would explain why some have magic and others don't!
This is roughly the 10th non-music video that has accidentally been added to my music playlist without me immediately removing it... I wonder how many times I "watched" this video in my sleep.
In onward in Ian’s spell he said “one more day to walk the earth” if onward is not on earth way does his spell have the word earth in it?
Earth can refer to dirt as well.
@@ZackeryCochran the axiam said that! Lol
Maybe they didn’t have a name for their planet so they called it earth bc that is what they heard from the ship
it was translated into english. they would have said the name of their planet in their native tongue
If you research how we named our planet in different languages it is just us naming it after the ground we walk on
It may be soil or ground in one language and it will also refer to our current planet
It still could be Earth as we are gaining and losing “moons” all the time. Asteroid come into orbit and exit quite often. In fact, our moon is currently getting further and further away and eventually, it will leave our orbit.
I like this guy...
In the visitation spell it says and I quote,
"Only once is all we get, grant me this rebirth, till tomorrow's sun has set, one day to walk the EARTH."
Implying that Onward takes place on the same planet as the rest of the movies like the Pixar Theory suggests.
@@haydenp.6633 earth means dirt. People just happened to name our planet that. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's the same planet.
It could, but generally when we gain a moon we don’t see it at night. We only see our main moon, and another thing is that those Moons seem to come out earlier than our moon, as the chance of seeing ours in that light is pretty rare. Pretty good reasoning for it to be a different planet
Gravity!
If raven's point has the phoenix stone does that mean that the axiom had a... LIFE REGENERATOR. This works because in soul the little souls go to earth and earth only. Which means that no one was born on the axiom! Rather they were brought to life with the Phoenix stone. That would also explain how everyone on the axiom look VERY similar! AND how wallie and the other robots can have their own souls!
Pixar: makes movie
Everyone: alright now let’s see here

SCB Notification: **pops up**
Me: Onward to the video!
Ew books
*gets this notification*
Me: didn’t they already make one of these or am I just tripping?
They did but not as in depth. It was based off what they could find from trailers and pictures to formulate the theory
But I gotta say they were pretty spot on for the trailer theory
Analytical skills on point 👍
Screenrant made one first: ua-cam.com/video/8hd61vD5DHE/v-deo.html. Theirs is different, though. Not sure which one I like best, but once you have time and space travel courtesy of the magic Monsters doors in the theory, most things could be made to fit. Not that I'm complaining -- it's still creative and fun.
Kymogos you forgot to eat your cereal
when they were in the fast food restaurants it looked so real to me like they were in a Wendy's or burger king
I like everything but the last point. Raven's point did not refer to the mountain at all (or the axium). It was the actual direction in which the ravens were pointing. It makes sense that the mountain (axium) would have become a landmark, but it was not the destination. Over time, people mistook the axium for a mountain and attributed "Raven's Point" to it
I simply think that the human crash-landed on the "onwards" plant, mutated into magical creatures with time.
Humans dying in that crash would somehow bring up the "alien existing out there" argument for the creatures of "onwards" planet.
So It's highly likely that these creatures are mutated humans; mutated by the environment of the planet.
Jamal AQ mutated is kind of a word for viruses and bacteria. Usually, when we’re talking about species, the term shifts to “evolved.” (The word mutated makes it sound like humans are a kind of single celled blob of biological matter.) Great theory, though!
That's smart
*Insert Name Here* * No, mutations simply refer to any minor or major mistake made when DNA is copied in any living thing. For example, when gametes (unfertilized offspring cells) divide, their DNA is copied each time, and there are often little mistakes. But, over time (millions of years), these genetic mutations accumulate and cause major changes in the organism. The organisms with new traits that benefit them have a higher chance to survive and reproduce, so more of those organisms’ traits are passed on. And, the organisms with traits that decrease their chance of survival and reproduction eventually go extinct (natural selection). Lastly, a species is just a class of organisms, so every living thing falls into a species (including bacteria), and we are all made of biological matter.
The Pixar theory strikes again. *Oh yeah it's all coming together*
My theory: the x men takes place in the in between stages between walle and monsters inc, when they have just begun their evolution
Mind blown! Thanks always enjoy your videos
I still think it is Andy’s high school dnd thing
After the movie my dad said “I was trying to find the pizza planet truck and I was sure it would be in the highway scenes, but I couldn’t find it. Maybe it’s because it takes place on another planet because it had two moons”
I haven’t watched your channel in years
But I just saw Onward and I remembered the Pixar theory
