Great review as always. Azores is taking the market by storm. I am glad they are keeping the price lower, because WiFi 6 product prices has been out of control lately.
Excellent thorough review. Thank you. I purchased the AX1500 set, plus an extra single router based on price and your input and I am very pleased. It has a very simple setup, and yet, as you point out, has a lot more control in the web interface than most budget routers. I also like the frequent (once a month or so) auto firmware updates. But: - Sadly the price of the AX1800 seems to have gone up, its $135 after an 18% coupon code (in the listing) for me, and I do have Prime so I should see the Prime price. Perhaps others see the $115. - An answer in the Q/A from Azores makes me wonder why you got better performance on the 5GHz band. Azores stated the difference between the AX1500 and AX1800 are: 1. The AX1800 has 2.4GHz in Wi-Fi 6 while AX1500 has 2.4G in Wi-Fi 4 (I think they mean Wi-Fi 5 -300Mbps PHY speed). and 2. The AX1800 has amplifiers for the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which boots coverage by quite a bit. 3. Also not performance related: ....there is no on/off button anymore, replaced with a button to turn on/off LED....for a better night of sleep ...AND ...We reduced the Ethernet ports from 4 to 2,.....to present a better cost/benefit. It seemed to me from this answer that benefits should only be seen in the 2.4GHz band. In any case, I am extremely pleased with the Azores which has worked flawlessly, and also pleased with your reviews which are detailed and very helpful. thanks.
