Metroid II was my jam! The very first game I ever bought with my own money. I never played the first one but that ad with the creepy talking head made me want it. I swear I played it, beat it, then started over and over and over. It got to the point I was having dreams about the game. Weird stuff too. Like going to an item room but falling through an invisible floor into another room with a metroid that mutates into a hairy Omega form. It's not much but it terrified me as a kid to the point I had to stop playing because I got too scared the games code would have magically changed to make my nightmare real. Spoiler ahead: They pretty much retconned your villainous part out of that game. In Dread they established the chozo that lived there were ready to blow up the planet themselves to deal with the metroid threat. I mean that is a bit extreme. Like blowing up a planet to stop ONE Cyberman.

Creepy talking head is a natural salesman. He could sell me on anything. But really, Metroid II is an underappreciated work of genius.
...But like, he has a point. Team Rocket is as bad as everyone else. They just rub it in your face with the cartoonishly evil uniforms.
Team Rocket just has great fashion. If looking that good is wrong, I don't want to be right.
