Today me the wife and the kids drove 2 hours to go to Shady Maple for breakfast. Afterwards, I told the kids we were making a detour and got to show them your farm and they were so excited as we drove by 😂
@@jimbeck6093 If you're asking where Shady Maple is, you can google it, its a restaurant. If youre asking for his address, it is not my business to post it for the world to see. I found it by paying attention to his older videos and seeing clues. All I will say is theyre located in Pennsylvania.
When the Amish guys did the concrete in our freestall addition they told us to wet it down and scape it a few times withe skidsteer bucket. It's supposed to knock off any sharp edges that might injure a hoof.
I think you should have a fan competition.... One for people who have never been on a farm or run heavy equipment. They should post video's of them going to their nearest farm and help out for a day...... You pick the winner based on humor, and acquired expertise......
Looks awesome to see your plan come together with the new barn and manure maintenance! Love seeing the girls get their “pedicure”. 😂. Have a blessed day and stay safe.
I like watching the progress being made on the new barn. Love watching the reaction of farmers and ranchers to the arrival of the rain; liquid gold for them.
You guys should ceramic coat all your equipment like tractors and skid steers, what it does is make it so dirt and grime can't bond to the surface of the machines and can also be done on vehicles too, but it makes it so instead of having to do soap washes whenever you wash the machines, it makes it so you can just spray it down and it comes out looking flawless, you do one full soap wash before applying the ceramic coating, and then from then on you only really have to spray them down and the dust and dirt will come off super easily, it also protect the paint, and can also protect the paint from fading from the sun over the years. Makes cleaning down machines and equipment much easier and less time consuming! Figured I'd mention it because I did it on my car, and my car is a color that shows dirt wicked easily and before where I had to actually wash with soap, now I just use my garden hose with a pressure attachment and the car comes clean with just water! You guys need your equipment to last as long as possible aside from buying new tractors and such, but the ceramic will keep the exterior in better condition over time and you guys will also get a better resale value of said machines when you go to trade up as the paint will be protected and stay cleaner :)
Once again another great video. The new barn is looking amazing and I can't wait for you guys to start using it. The farm looks amazing as well. Keep up the great work Eric.
Glad you got some rain on the crops. The rain also helps the concrete cure slower and it will be stronger. New barn is really looking great. Thanks for another super video. (Ordered my shirt the other day. Looking forward to getting it.)
Chain oil helps with bovine digestion👍. Those heavy rain downpours sure help with humidity. I just hope and pray this West Coast heat wave doesn’t get to the mid-West and definitely not meet a Northern cold front
that is a gr8 1st order of business! [more eric hoop shots please!] so jelly about your rainfall... we are dry [&hot] in theWest! very exciting to see the new barn coming to completion... great work!
Well now the new barn is just about completed. It’s been quite the process & it looks great. I can only imagine how excited you & your dad are to having it finished and in use. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole construction process and of course the daily farming routine. A great ending to the vid starring Curious cows!! Take care & stay safe. Cheers from BC 🇨🇦
It's really cool seeing this whole project go from concept to completion. Thanks for sharing the process with us, Eric. Plus, you beat Tom Pemberton and Cole the Cornstar with getting your project built before theirs. Lol. 👍
even though i hoped the new barn were up sooner than later but it's always best to have quality barn so it'll last for decades with little maintainence needed
The part where you show yourself driving the side by side gave me flashbacks to when you used to ride your bike everywhere! The new barn is looking good!
As a former dairyman who did Class "C" Milk, my biggest problem was getting rid of manure. I did not have the acreage to spread it and use it up. Thanks Erik.
We r about to get a bunch of rain. We r in the path of hurricane Elsa. Hope we get no damage. Thank u for a video Eric. I enjoy tagging along while u go through ur day....
Yay my favorite farmer and hardest working!!! Always taking good care of his 'lady's🐮🐮🐄🐮' I get to watch tonight and have already given my thumbs up!!! 🐮🐮🐮🐄🐮🐄🐮
hopefully some of that rain comes my way we need some it’s really really dry. just got some double crop soybeans planted today so we need some rain for those. love the video also
I started getting into farming because of farming simulator , then i really started to wanna learn more because of MN , but for almost a year now you're my main farming channel that i check out the most. Quick , straight to the point video , no bullshit , you explain a lot and you show a little bit of everything, It must take time out of your already busy day so i just wanna say thanks a lot !!
You don't have horror stories about hoofs like the hoof trimmer videos from other countries. Hoof health is so important and your management stresses that. Great job.
Great video! I wish we could get some rain we are very dry. Second crop yielded very poorly and the corn is looking rough. Can’t wait to see some cows in the new building!
Well I would say, 10 generation farm. If people move next to you and complain about the smell, give them a thumbs up for the comment. I love farming live and the smell of a good barn yard smell. Keep up the good work you are doing young man. Keep us Americans fed, and fresh milk on our tables. We butcher our our beef and not allowed to drink ditch water.
It rained here just to the south of Kansas City for just a bit over a week and we ended up with a little over 9 inches. Needless to say we had a bit of a flooding problem but plenty of water.
My Grandad wired up a stereo out in his barn. BUT, it didn't work out. His prize ram killed itself. The local radio station keep playing that new hit 'Ain't never gonna be another ewe' !

I was really bored once and found the farm on Google Maps. Afterwards I felt very accomplished but it quickly faded.
Great that you can accommodate your neighbors and help yourselves at the same time. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
I'm not surprised that you give freely to neighbours, this is who you are, and them giving a place to put it. Would be good if this was in all places.
Very kindly of you to share your manure with the neighbors. Note to self: If ever buy a crop farm, look for one next to a dairy...
Kinda like spreading your shite around!!

As I have said before, my momma would say, "It is raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock!". She grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. 😀
Washington State has the same saying.
@@patricianewton1417 yep, my dad was born and raised there and used that statement often.
Your momma must be related to the waterboys momma, huh?
We say the same thing in Wisconsin also.
