This album is a lyrical masterpiece! Some lambs don't like the album that much because of the excessive whispery vocals. I also have mixed feelings about some of her vocal choices here. But personally, this album is so cohesive. I like every song, except for You Had Your Chance, Irresistible, Lullaby, and Through The Rain Remix. I can tolerate You Had Your Chance, but the latter 3 are some of my least favorite Mariah's vocal moments. I feel like Sunflower was such a perfect ending song. The Emancipation Of Mimi is next! I can't wait to watch your reaction to that album! While Emotions and Butterfly are still my top 2, but i think TEOM is when she was at her best lyrically, musically, and vocally.

The Bringin' On The Heartbreak whistle is one of my favorites -- it sounds like she's doing a guitar scream with her voice and it's BEAUTIFUL. If you enjoy the humor I think you're gonna love Memoirs! It's another one of the less appreciate albums of hers, but it's one of my favorites. Sadly she needs to belt everytime because people and media are always expecting for her vocals. Which really put her a hard time. Because not all the time she can always hit them. That’s why ariana is so smart to lessen her vocal acrobats in her recent albums to avoid early deterioration.

it's becoming a little tiring to react to the whistles with disdain... but we can't expect someone who listens to TS to enjoy good vocals. not everything is about the lyrics or the emotion conveyed. sometimes you just want to hear to impressive things no other human can replicate. Being able to relate to TS mediocracy can also be cute, I imagine.
