Soft French Toast Recipe : It's so delicious and so simple

50g Milk

Hello! I made this today and it was delicious, thank you so much for this recipe! Also, I'm very happy that I can make more batter and store it in the fridge to save time in the morning.
I replaced the maple syrup with cinnamon, and next time I won't cut the bread crust off bc I don't know what to do with it haha.

But what about the syrup 8n between the slices?wouldn't be raw ?

This is basically a custard, and the bread makes it less dense when it soaks up the custard liquid. If cooked long enough on medium or even medium low with the lid on, the custard will cook through by being steamed, and it will also pretty much fuse the bread slices together into one thick piece. In the video, it seems to be just cooked through.

Put a drop of rhum and some vanilla in your mix and brush the bread with maple syrup when frying it in butter and you will easily reach the Michelin star level .
