She was working as a waitress in London while her husband was working as a top economist in London. It was on pure luck I landed on this page. It's pleasant seeing representatives from two different countries across the ocean discussing and interacting over various topics concerning their states. Got to know the lastest developments the government is working on, the challenges faced, effective solutions and it's implementations.
Yes as our honourable Minister PTR avargal said there is a huge gap between what the economy demands and what the education system supplies. The career counselling program is indeed a great solution to stop the system from mindlessly churning out disproportionate number of engineers every year. Yes the parents should be counselled as well as they are not aware of anything other than the mainstream professions like engineering and medicine.

The education system works here is a result oriented. It is not the college or higher education, it is the primary education which sucks. There is no proper basement. We need to improve based on the education policies from the developed foreign countries. Actually speaking they all matches with our old way of education, Gurukulam. People were thought the life skills first, not just alphabets. Without even knowing whether all kids learnt or understood teachers just skip over to next to cover the syllabus. Also each kid has their own capacity, which needs to be properly tuned. It is possible for the teachers to make everyone understands, but the education policy doesn't encourages that.
@@stechs2651That's true prioritising skills over rote learning. I personally know many electrical engineers(one of them is a gold medalist)who don't even know the basic stuffs like fixing a blown fuse.

Forget her mispronunciation of minister' name. Here in Tamil nadu lot of people find it difficult to pronounce the name. Pazhanivel. They invariably pronounce as palanivel.
If all the other politicians in Tamil Nadu are as honest as PTR, then Tamil Nadu need not wait till 2030 to reach the 1 trillion dollar economy status.
