She was talking about Rishi vs Keir.
The entire voting population is responsible for the rif raf put into Parliament. The job of MP does not appeal to leaders, but ideological twats and power/money hungry folk with no genuine concern for the country other than it failing in their ideology or crumbling their personal empire.
The Labour Party has been 100% complicit in the failings of the past several administrations. They have not provided any viable opposition or alternatives to the current policies of this Conservative Government.

@@angrytedtalks How can the Labour Party be 100% complicit when they've been in an opposition minority for less than a third of the time since the Conservatives gained power in 2010?
Even when the LibDems and DUP were in a coalition government with the Tories, the Tories still had the majority, so they were effectively told to shut up and do as they were told.
Any of them could of and often did oppose anything they want, but it wouldn't have made any difference because it's the majority passes the laws, which is why the Tories are 100% responsible for everything that's happened since 2010.
It's like blaming Larry the cat for being 100% complicit for everything that happened in 10 Downing St. for all the good his opposition would have been.

    • @angrytedtalks
      @angrytedtalks 7 місяців тому

@@mazdamaniac4643 Very easily. Labour has done nothing, made no sensible policies or successfully opposed anything from the Conservative party regardless of how successful or unpopular it was.
The Labour Party is just whiney but otherwise supports Brexit and broadly agreed with the Conservative party on terms of lockdowns and furlough payments which have brought the country to financial breaking point.
The Labour MPs who stand in opposition were never told to "shut up" they each have exactly the same right to attend Parliament as any other MP.
Laws are passed cross party. There is no obligation for an MP to vote on bills by doing what other MPs do; their boss is their constituents, not the party leader.

@@mazdamaniac4643 How are they complicit? If you don't provide a viable opposition that people will vote for, then you are complicit. The number of Tory successes are at least partly due to how inept and how unelectable Labour have been in recent years, especially under that complete loser Corbyn.
He has NEVER apologised for being a useless moron.
If a football club puts up no opposition to the team that beat them 10-0. They owe their fans an apology. Labour have never apologised for being inept and useless.

There's some truth in that. And the same with CEOs. Only the arseholes want to climb to the top.
1% of the population are thought to be psychopaths. That rises to 6% of politicians, which equates to 39 MPs, and a staggering 25% of CEOs. Lawyers, senior police officers and media personalities are other careers that attract psychopaths.
There's a reason for this. Psychopaths tend to be insecure, so they have a need for power and control, consequently they are driven to get into positions of power.
One of the most important traits of a psychopath is a lack of empathy and conscience. This means they will do whatever they think they can get away with to reach the top, things most people would consider unacceptable.
British politicians that display a lot of psychopathic traits include: Boris Johnson, Domminic Cummings, Jeremy Hunt, IDS, Suella Braverman, Priti Patel, amongst others.
Current and recent world leaders that display a lot of psychopathic traits include: Putin, Trump, Kim Jong Un, Bolsonairo of Brazil, Orban of Hungary, Erdogan of Turkey, Modi of India, Morrison of Australia and Netanyahu of Israel. I'm not sure about Xi of China as I don't know enough about him except he's ruthless, though I wouldn't be surprised.
When you realise this it explains the actions of so many world leaders and why the big corporations act as they do.
      Psychopathic traits include:
      - A lack of conscience or empathy.
      - A sense of superiority. Thinking they are better/cleverer than everyone else.
      - Believing the law/rules are for lesser people and don't apply to them. Each time they break the law/rules and get away with enforces their belief that they're cleverer than everyone else.
      - Pathological lying.
      -Conning and manipulative behaviour.
      - Superficial charm. Never trust a charmer. Psychopaths use their charm to manipulate others, but it's only skin deep.
      - Irresponsible behaviour: i.e They break promises, agreements, contracts, teaties, etc. They also tend to start projects and not finish them. This is because they tensd to get bored quickly and have short attention spans.
      - Poor control: Psychopaths react badly to criticism or not getting their own way. They get impatient, irritable, aggressive, abusive, etc.
      - Promiscuity and extra marital affairs. Psychopaths only care about themselves and don't care if they hurt others.
      - Risk taking behaviour.
Psychopaths don't care for anyone but themselves. They think of other people as:
      1) Those useful to them. e.g. those with money, power, etc. If that ceases to be the case or they later become a liability they will ditch them/throw them under the bus. Psychopaths have no loyalty.
      2)Those they can use/exploit.
      3) Those they can safely ignore/walk over.
      4) Those they consider a threat or obstruction.
Cat scans on psychopaths show little activity in their frontal lobe, the part of the brain thought to control empathy and conscience.
Psychopaths aren't evil, thouh they may commit acts others consider as such. They're just the ultimate in selfishness. They only care about themselves and will always do what they think is best for them. If this hurts others then they don't care. In fact they are incapable of caring.

Hard to make a go of it when you have to have money and connections or a bewildering amount of luck to even enter the game, and then you watch as your political opponents goad the public into murdering a left wing MP in broad daylight and completely get away with continuing the behaviour that led to it.

To become a 'successful' politician you need a lot of money.
But rich people are the most out of touch with the reality of what the average citizen has to endure in this country, so how can they stand there and say they empathize with the populous and actually mean it? They can't.

The message is clear: only those with rich parents are allowed career aspirations towards the things they're passionate about and enjoy instead of making all their decisions based on what their betters tell them they need to do to deserve food and shelter.

When members of the opposition party speak in parliament, whole benches of Tory MPs boo and jeer to drown them out. Sometimes with name calling.
Members have been caught sleeping. Others have been seen to be very obviously on illicit substances. Most just straight up don't show up.
We have an escalating issue of legislation being dropped because not enough MPs turn up to debate or vote on it.
      Bonus:
Actual things Tory party MPs have said and/or suggested over the last few years:
People wouldn't have laughed at him if he'd brought his valet out on campaign instead of his nanny.
They're proud that the number of foodbanks in the UK has gone up by thousands. (And no, they weren't talking about being proud of funding them or setting them up - to my knowledge they've done neither of those things)
We should replace the fruit pickers we lost to Brexit with impoverished retirees who we should then pay less than minimum wage.
We shoud make it legal to pay disabled people less than minimum wage.
Poor people should stop complaining about the cost of living and start selling their valuables, such as their pearls.
He only broke the lockdown rules because he didn't understand them (this one was the PM in charge of setting and announcing the lockdown rules).
Poor people are just being silly about food prices - you can buy a massive bag of oats and your whole family can eat that for the entire week (meanwhile we've seen the return of actual scurvy in UK children for the first time in decades).
Disabled children should be guillotined (he was 'asked' to resign when it came out that he'd said it. Only when it came out though, not when he actually said it).
Nicknamed a fellow Tory MP "Pincher by name, pincher by nature" and said he was "handsy" and proceeded to do nothing about the claims made against said Tory MP because they apparently didn't know he was harrassing people.

The main problem there is the bizarre rule that makes it so easy to oust a Speaker. That would never happen in the UK because it would require a majority of the party in power to bring the vote. For that matter I don't understand why anyone thought it would be a good idea to have the executive and the legislative governed by opposing parties more than half of the time. In the UK the executive are only the executive because they're supported by the legislative.

    • @dannymartinez3600

@@rtozier2011 yeah, you have a good point. And as the political climate gets more polarized it’s going to become harder and harder to legislate. If they know they’ll be punished by their more radical colleagues for working in a bipartisan manner, many of them won’t. These people will sacrifice doing their duty to remain in power.
It goes even beyond legislating now. On the right you have to swear allegiance to trump (which is messed up on many levels) or risk his ire and having the base turn on you. I think the founding fathers thought that while politicians can be self-serving, that ultimately they would put country above it. Seems they had no idea what the future would bring.
