Protip: If you don't already have high res textures for grain; you can generate some in the program by using either AE's grain generation tool or by using fractal noise if you want more pronounced grain. There's plenty of existing tutorials using both methods. This was a great tutorial; I really liked how well you explained everything.
That's a great point! There's literally so many ways to create your own textures, what a godsend haha. And thank you so much! I truly appreciate it. :)
@@audreyhavey I figured it would be worth mentioning since you didn't really talk about it in your tutorial or show where you sourced your textures from. I got great results using fractal noise to create highly stylized grain for this video I'm working on.
Hey, I'm a beginner in motion design. I tried creating my own grain texture with fractal noise and it worked, but I added fractal noise to a white solid and the bg is not transparent, then I changed the blending mode to screen and it worked for the grain that goes in the image, but when I use the moving texture for the displacement map words, it stays with a black background (The words and a black background behind it). Can someone help me with that?
just getting into AE, this is probably the most helpful tutorial i've found with the style im looking for. This channels gonna be poppin by the end of the year.
This is genuinely such a good tutorial. I'm a sports designer and I'm slowly integrating motion effects to my still graphics to evaluate them to another level, and this tutorial helped me hugely. Thanks again!
Not yet! They're just some animated 2D FX (there's some packs and whatnot you can purchase online) but I'm thinking of doing a video on those one day for sure!
I really enjoy your content. Straight to the point. easy to understand/follow along and visually appealing. I'm really looking forward to your future videos. PS.: Your personal branding looks super dope!
Sorry to ask something completely unrelated to the message of the video, but where can I find that energy cartoony effect in the bottom left at the start of the video? Is it a plugin?
Not a problem! They’re animated frame by frame 2D effects - I didn’t personally animate them but you should be able to find some through sites like creative market and whatnot!
