This is great practice! Ive taken 3 courses from SoM and Ben Marriott. And i am with you, i felt like i hit a plateau and not utilizing the lessons learned into actual projects Gonna start doing these projects to practice, thanks audrey
thank you! I just bought a new computer to start learning motion design and I was wondering what kind of projects I could start to do. this was helpful :)
Great video! Can you tell me how you created the curve/tunnel effect @2:16? Was it in AE or something else? I tried using motion tiles and curving geometry but can't seem to get the same effect
Hi there! I didn't create those animation examples, but I would imagine its something to do with using the cc cylinder effect in After Effects - maybe this video can help? ua-cam.com/video/6JvcqcDX4aY/v-deo.html
What a nice video, haven't seem you in a while tho. Also its true that First Design then animation. So I started diving into design and illustration. would be glad to hear your thoughts or tips!
I am a motion designer but idk to use illustration as in i just know how to place it in aftereffects than I can animate things, but I believe I need to learn Illustration
I just came on video and you mentioned a sketchbook, where do you recommend to add them? I have some saved on my computer but would like to have them to just show friends or for my own thing like you mentioned. Thank you
If you're referring to a digital sketchbook, you could easily just add your motion-illustrations in a composition (maybe a size like 1080x1350) within After Effects and arrange them however you'd like! Especially if you're able to make them loop
Im 23 rn and started learning motiongraphics..is it worth rn..cause sone people says ai will replace motiongraphics jobs or reduce opportunities for freshers😢
IMO, craft will always outweigh the machine. Learn what you are passionate about and what you want to learn, but make it your own and find your voice within it. AI can’t replicate that.
Hihi!! So Reece’s hand-drawn look actually comes from him animating BY hand via frame by frame (in procreate i believe) - it’s his signature animated style!
This is great practice!

Awesome!
Very informative!!
What software would you say you use majorly for animations and motion designs above the rest
After Effects 100%! For cel-animation I've used Procreate/Procreate Dreams primarily
@@audreyhavey I wish I could get those after effects tutorials from you
I couldn't get the file :( The website said There was a technical issue. Great video either way. Thank you for making this list.
Hi!! Which file were you trying to download?
