I love the Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream. It feels like a gel cream but it is occlusive enough to hold thd moisture in from whatever toner you're using. Perfect on my combo skin for night time. When it gets really hot I use the Soon Jung Emulsion
@@karamckinnon2083 No for me. I have oily skin living in hot country but the Green Tea Water Bomb was light enough. As a night cream I used as usual, but for morning, I did try to apply less because I layer spf on top of it, otherwise a but greasy. Overall nice feeling!
I used to only use gel moisturizers but I found my oily/combo dehydrated skin needs more. However I love layering my moisturizers with gel creams because it helps so much! I’m definitely going to give these a try, thanks Kelly. 💋
My favourite light moisturiser is the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream, it's not really a gel but more like a very light cream that turns quite watery once it hits the skin. Feels nourishing and moisturizing without suffocating the skin, I can totally recommend that one.
I’d like to add Rovectin clean lotus water cream to the list. I prefer it to the Bonajour water bomb, which leaves me feel oily and shiny and I have dry skin! Rovectin is also without HA which I tolerate poorly.
I was wondering why haven't you tried thankyou farmer rice cream yet and here you go.. I have been loving it so much..it just locks all the moisture so well
I have incredibly dry skin and actually love the bonajour in the summer - which is pretty humid here. As long as my SPF is moisturising I find it to be enough for me 😊
These recs come right on time when the weather is getting hotter. In my country we don't have any seasons (just warm and like really hot) and as of now it's so hot. I can't wait to get my box so that I can try the Klairs fundamental water gel cream, so excited. My boyfriend uses the rovectin lotus water cream and it's so light and refreshing, it's not a gel per se but it's really good and lightweight, I also like it! Thank you for this video, girl ✨ Have a nice day 💜🥺
In the summer I was using the Pyunkang Yul Ato Soothing Gel lotion, and the Purito seabuckthorn cream. I am in NZ, so slowly going onto winter now. Using I'm From Rice cream and Pyunkang Yul ato blue label cream (bought the winter cream based on your recommendations, so thank you for that!) I have a few more non K-beauty on rotation as well: Simple Rich moisturising cream, and La Roche-Posay Cica + B5 Baume.
Yesss this is the video I was waiting for! I can't stand heaviness on my skin, I need it to BREATHE (and not stick to the pillow lol) so I need all my skincare to absorb as fast as possible. I ordered the I'm From Vitamin Tree Water Gel some time ago and can't wait to try it, but I'm curious about all of these, especially the Bonajour one, when you said it's the lightest of them all I instantly got hooked!
literally received my YessStyle order today including the I'm from: vitamin tree gel , mugwort mask and cream and ginseng eye cream. Can't wait to try them ❤️🔥
Hey girl... Great job... I have started to take care of my skin only after I came across your channel... I love each and every bit of your videos... Your genuine review and detail of ingredients and formulation has helped me chose the products diligently... Keep up the hard work...You look beautiful and your skin glows ❤
The water bomb is the best thing I've had for my sensitive and super oily and acne prone skin EVER. Seriously. Perfect under makeup. Doesn't make anything on top pill. My summer routine in the morning this year will be surmedic azulene cleanser, Benton bye bye redness centella gel, bonajour water bomb, sunscreen and that's it.
Thank you, been waiting for gel moisturizer recommendations, my hot n humid weather go to! I used to use the Hada Labo Plumping Gel Cream but I feel like the last jar I got was thicker and stickier than before, so been shopping for new.
They all seem so good! Just in time for the summer! id like to know which moisturizer plays the best with makeup and which one can also is can be used as a nighttime moisturizer. As always, excellent video!
Love your moisturizer content Kelly! Was wondering what you thought about Peach & Lily Glass Water Gel moisturizer? Would love to hear your thoughts about the brand in general as well.
I Have combo skin and the Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb is my all time favorite moisturizer! I feel like no one knows about it. Thanks for giving it some love!
Hi Kelly i've only ever used a gel/cream as a thicker serum tbh, but I have very dry skin. For a daytime moisturiser I normally use a night cream or a rich cream throughout most of the year, using often a body cream at night - I need the extra moisture and occlusive ingredients. In Summer I can switch out to something a bit lighter weight and can sometimes use a "standard" day cream under my spf. I'm currently using the paula's choice restoring moisturiser normal/dry (marketed as a night time cream) as my day cream under the co ordinating mineral spf30. At night I'm using a rich face cream (the skincity extreme cream) under the LRP cicaplast baume b5. In the Scottish Winter these pairings won't be enough tbh, but they are good for Spring/Autumn. I do sometimes add a little face oil to my moisturiser if I'm particularly dry that day. I do like the hydration a gel/cream can provide and they often have good ingredients, but they're never enough alone as my skin is really really dry. Using them as a thick serum can work really well for dry skin though, as long as they layer well. Best wishes.
Hi Kelly! What are your thoughts on the innisfree intensive green tea seed cream? Do you think it’s good for dry, sensitive skin and is it better to use it in the morning or at night? And what is the difference between the intensive cream and the balancing cream? I am thinking about purchasing one of them and I would really like your opinion :)
I love you! You answer our deepest questions 🤣💯. Curious on your thoughts about gel creams for dehydrated skin with large pores. Do you recommend cream or gel moisturizers? 🙏🏽❤️
I've been using Iunik's Centella Calming Gel Cream for the last few weeks since it started warming up and am really loving it. It's super affordable too.
Hi kelly I love your videos. I love your recommendation but can u be more specific with dehydrated acne prone skin type when you recommend a product . Because the oily skin products always seems too light and the one for dry skin always breaks me out . So if u also suggest product might be suitable for acne prone skin and also provide moisture would be really useful… ❤️
My new fav gel moisturizer is the Biossance gel one. Not sticky at all and super hydrating. Good thing they always have sales. The Farmacy one is good too but a little shinier.
Hi Kelly, thank you so much vor the video! I'm a combination skin, but in the summer I tend to be very very oily. So I was searching for the right moisturizer for the summer, and based on your recommendation I'll try the Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb. Hey kelly,my skin type is oily combination & sensitive.but recently my skin barrier got damaged, dull, uneven & dehydrated.which moisturiser should i purchase for my skin condition?
I'm confused, in a video from about a year ago "What's the tea 3" you said that the Bonajour made you feel greasy and wouldn't recommend for oily people. But in the beginning of this video you recommend it for oily/combo skin. I just ordered the Bonajour water bomb today and I really hope I don't instantly feel like an oil slick.......
@@ohbbyelena I ended up using it as a night time moisturizer, and did reorder it a couple times. Definitely ok for summer but wasn't enough for winter. I live in the cold northeast, so I needed a little bit more. Hope that helps!

I would like to suggest the E nature squeeze green watery gel cream. It is like water and has encapsulated oil bits that provide a nice occlusive barrier without feeling too thick. 😁
AM, I use an emulsion before a sunscreen...the isntree green tea emulsion. In PM routine I use that same emulsion to mix my retinol with for more even application...I use a cream moisturizer on top of that. I like having a lighter weight moisturizer (an emulsion or a gel cream) available and they work great under makeup too. My boyfriend always uses those as his final moisturizer and won't need a more occlusive option. I wish Klairs would package that "pudding" in a pump bottle because there's no way I would buy that product in a jar+spatula combination...
Have you tried the neogen vita duo day and night cream? I’m really drawn to buy a duo cream for some reason haha and I recently discovered that and the Axis-y which you were talking about. Any tips which one I should go for? I have combo skin:)
I use the bojanour green tea from your 2020 summer recommendations and I love it. Am curious about the bonajour propolis toner and serum. Have you used them? what do you think about them?
I haven't tried the toner but I have used the serum, reviewed it in my summer serums video from 2020, it's probably the lightest propolis serum I've ever tried!
Which of these gel is suitable with sunscreen? My face tends to dry after applying a mineral sunscreen and the im from cream keeps my face from drying out.
I really want to get my hands on bonajour. I was try i'm from, it is ok but i don't know why when i use it it's not make my dehydration skin go away. So i'm using local skincare now and it works so well on my skin.
