Having played all the stories I can tell you that the Jedi Council has some of the least appreciative members that regularly make choices. The admiration, respect, it all belongs to the Imperial side where hierarchy and merit shines above lineage (in the majority of circumstances). In the Republic however only those who are politically useful or well connected receive recognition in any fashion aside from a patronizing pat on the head or gold star. The trooper? Told to shove off. Consular? Here is seat on the council, it was empty and you were the first person we thought to fill it. Guardian? You've done more than any one of us has accomplished in decades, perhaps ever in our lifetimes, yet we only give you this position because your previous Master has passed away. Scoundrel? Here is your literal gold star. Inquisitor; honored and feared the keeper of the most potent secrets and knowledge of the Sith Empire Warrior; honored and feared the wrath of the Empire an absolute legend Bounty Hunter; honored, legendary, a Champion in every regard without question Agent; betrayed and manipulated the only Imperial class to have been given the Trooper treatment
Somehow you completely miss that those classes each seek different things. Consular would still go out inTo the galaxy to heal and do diplomacy even if he was not elevated, because that is his calling. Guardian would hunt down Sith because he is the best at fighting them to protect others. Scoundrel could not care less about the medal, he got access and contacts to highest positions in the Republic to use for his illegal business. Trooper is a soldier, career military and got the rank out of what he did. None of these goals are attractive to imperial characters, otherwise they would defect like Elara Dorne did. As for the Agent, if you play a chiss on Voss he admits Empire means nothing to him, he serves because he was scouted out of Chilla security forces and to protect his homeworld he does what he does. Human imperial agent gets off on the intrigue and survived profession that kills practically everyone else.
Agent honestly has lots of outcomes. Its up to u being a fool or an extremly powerfull figure holding a key to blackmail, backstab and other dirty (sometimes not so) tricks, feared across galaxy.

In a way, you not being a master makes some sense. It's true that you did help save the republic, but despite being a Jedi, you abandoned everything that the Jedi are supposed to represent. Despite most Jedi being massive hypocrites, they are supposed to follow a code, and even the worst light sided Jedi follow that code in some way, but a DS Knight doesn't even try to follow it. The reason you aren't granted the rank of Master is not because you aren't powerful enough, but because you don't represent what the Jedi should be in any form.
See this kind of thing is interesting because it really does show a form of hypocrisy in the Jedi, and an overarching lack of any consideration for people as individuals really. I mean in Kotor they forbade Revan and the other knights from joining the Mandalorian war, but Revans choice saved the entire republic and the jedi by extension, on the other hand the jedi used and reprogrammed a Sith lord (i.e Revan again) to try and defeat the sith and Malak. So on this we have the Jedi council not even raising a finger to help the Republic from the Mandalorians and even punishing the jedi who did go, and then they will go so far as to take one of the most powerful Sith of their time and manipulate their mind and also use the republic for that matter to win a war with a rival they are ideologically opposed to. And then you see this crap from the Jedi again with the Exile who returned and was punished after the war, and then when the Exile helps/saves the masters, instead of helping the exile or considering any alternative action, they just try to forcefully strip the Exiles force against their will. Maybe it's really because the Jedi don't seem to recognise the individual, recognise their achievements or see any wrong in their actions when they detrimentally affect an individual even through they are not killing them.
I remember when Satele didn’t give me my honorary rank of a master, despite me being the one making the major changes in the galaxy …and doing the councils dirty work….so you can imagine when I started doing the expansions right after…and I saw the opportunity that I could side with Empire, and now have access to options to “sabotage “ the Republic from within …..i couldn’t pass it up >:)
Hmmm this seems like a combination of Anakin and Revan. Revan, due to the massive support and respect they got from non-Jedi officials. I always wanted for Satele to cast us out of Jedi order for being on dark side only for our character to tell galaxy that Jedi did nothing and brag bout hypocrisy , then storm out from meeting.
One fatal flaw the Jedi never understood: Not every being is immune from resentment. The Jedi have, more times than not, brought about their own near-extinction in Legends by offending and upsetting other Jedi with their verdicts.
The Jedi only ever had three purges. The second (the Great Jedi Purge from the films) is the only one instigated by an active member. The first was by the Sith Triumvirate (mostly Sion and Nihilus), and the second was by Darth Krayt (who, while a former Jedi, did not did not turn because of anything the Jedi did, but many decades after the Order was already destroyed by Palpatine). So I'm not sure I'd agree with your assessment.
Honestly, given the character’s response, I can see why the rank of Master was denied. Or, perhaps it’s more accurate to say delayed, or postponed, till the “child” grows up. No denying the character has considerable potential and talent, and recognition should be acknowledged as such. But when one allows their emotions to dictate their reactions, they are unfit for the rank and responsibility of leadership. At least for the time being. Nice cut scene. I remember when SWTOR first launched, I had a character in just about every faction.
THANK YOU! Truth be told, the fact that Satele is going out of her way to basically keep you from being arrested for a horrific rap sheet in the hopes you can redeem yourself is a shocking act of mercy.
To quote Revan ruler, "She did save the galaxy. Sorry she didn't win the way you wanted." And honestly, he's right. Revan was the wisest of Jedi, and he, according to the Jedi, let his emotions dictate his actions to go fight in the Mandalorian Wars. Same with the Exile, who, might I add, RESTORED THE JEDI ORDER, fought with Revan, which, according to Atris, was her allowing her passions to dictate her actions.

The real reason Anakin was so pissed is revealed in the novelization. The movie makes it seem like he just feels entitled, but in the novel it's said that Jedi Masters have access to forbidden archives about Sith lore. @@antonyduhamel1166 what? They do not address each other by categories like their "class"(guardian, consular, and sentinel) , knight is the next rank to be attained by a padawan.
Inquisitor; honored and feared the keeper of the most potent secrets and knowledge of the Sith Empire
Warrior; honored and feared the wrath of the Empire an absolute legend
Bounty Hunter; honored, legendary, a Champion in every regard without question
Agent; betrayed and manipulated the only Imperial class to have been given the Trooper treatment
I love your description of each class.
@@JabamiLain thanks haha

To play Devil's Advocate, as a Jedi you still kill countless numbers of people throughout the whole storyline, the only difference is, you spared some people here and there and took the more peaceful/difficult option instead of taking the more direct route. On top of that, this game does take place during a war between the Empire and the Republic, which as we all know is never just good and bad. Plus, why should it matter overall how the Jedi Knight got to killing the Emperor? Good or bad, they still killed The Emperor, basically the most powerful sith of the entire era and saved the republic. They deserve actual recognition for doing so. During wartime atrocities are committed a lot more often that we want to admit after all. The Jedi council is fine with you racking up a body count large enough to fill up Republic dreadnought, but making a few decisions that they deemed wrong and tapping into the darkside of the force when the light was lacking is a problem. Maybe the Jedi Knight had no choice, maybe the situation forced their hand, maybe it was the quickest way to save the most lives. The Jedi Council doesn't know what the Jedi Knight had to do. In the end though, they still killed the Emperor, you can't just deny them that win and refuse to give them what they're owed because they dipped their toe into the Darkside a bit

Add in shot of your character sitting on the Throne with Scourge on one side and the love interest on the other.
Much later during the Revan expansion, you get the title of "Jedi Battlemaster" if you're a dark-sided jedi.
You get that title regardless of alignment.

The Jedi fear the dark side. You can save the galaxy but if you didn't do it while on "the light side" you can't truly get the credit you deserve for your abilities.
The reality is for all the Jedi talk of fear, it's theirs of the dark side that truly holds them back. A full Darkside Jedi/Sith just saved the galaxy for the third time, if that doesn't disprove their notions about what's good and what's evil, nothing will.

Cause DS JK can do it almost literally!
Well, except the gf line, cause Theron has no gf, but we can use Lana for this line (sorry, Lana)
I always wanted for Satele to cast us out of Jedi order for being on dark side only for our character to tell galaxy that Jedi did nothing and brag bout hypocrisy , then storm out from meeting.
"Anakin was right"
"Always has been"
“You’re on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master” before it was cool
You know the last time a hero wasn’t granted rank of master it didn’t end so well for the Jedi order.
You mean: "The next time". ^^
How to be a jedi master: Stop being yourself and anything that makes you unique.
There, you're welcome.
@@steve8610cause Nihilus was Force-sensitive on Malachor, I assume he was former Jedi, as well as Kreia...
So all 3 purges happened cause of Jedi.
7 years saving the galaxy. Nukes True Evil. Wins the hearts and minds of billions.
Still an Ensign....
Valkorion: Allow me to introduce myself.
When you make a dark side user a general
What could possibly go wrong
They have general Garza in the army, so I guess the moral bar for being general is just low enough...
The Sith are purists, but at least they still give you your title, no matter what alignment you chose.
