I love the screens (but miss the browse by label art function, that is the closest to viny like experience instead of text based browsing in Serato) Also the 33/45 button and the battle style positioning that NO OTHER controller brings to the table.
I simply love this controller from top to bottom and all the features are killer! If I had to say what my favorite feature is honestly that smooth echo! I love how after you release the scratch it perfectly echos it out. Simple but amazing!

Pioneer knocked it out of the park on this one. Rev7 is the best controller on the market. It is a bit pricey coming in at $1,899 US dollars but it is worth every penny. Blows the Rane One away.
So excited. This checks off all my boxes for my next controller, excellent mixer, moving platters, additional pads, smart tech, excellent size, two laptops, xlr. Dare i call this the perfect controller for me. Can’t wait!!!

We are DJs too and we totally get the need for an IEC connector. However, an internal power supply can introduce noise to the unit, compromising the sound quality, as well as adding additional weight. By having an external power supply, the signal to noise ratio is down to a minimum.

If the power supply got nicked and was unusable, it would be bad to not be able to have that option on the road. With the DDJ 1000 SRT, it makes sense bc the whole unit weighs nothing. With this, its already heavy, so *kanye shrug*

The DDJ-REV7 is officially a Serato DJ Pro DJ controller only. However, we will pass the interest along to our developers for consideration. On board fx is awesome. Sampler volume is awesome too! The only deal breaker is no central detent in the pitch. I may be in the minority, but i really hate pushing the slider up in tempo and then realizing the zero lock button is on. I never moved past the technics 1210mk2 because of that. Love the waveform display on each platter. only other note is, stock samples for the scratch that are not replaceable. reminds me of a casio keyboard from the 80s lol.
The Instant Scratch samples are not replaceable but when you switch the mode to Scratch Bank, you can use the section for custom samples you choose set in Serato.

Beatmatching on the DDJ-REV7 is no different from any other Pioneer DJ product with a jog wheel. There are two dedicated tempo bend buttons, and Serato has an anti-drift function that helps for accurate playback speed.
What setting do i use for my job wheels on the rev 7 spin freely. I just bought mines & its dragging when i press play. I want it to spin freely when i press play not drag than spin

Hi there! I have had a Rev7 for about 2 weeks now and I have had an issue with marker drift when beat juggling. My marker starts at 12 O'clock and after about a dozen juggles ends up at 1 O'clock. This happens even with the instant scratch beat loop without a laptop plugged in. So it can't be a Serato issue. Have you noticed this same issue? Thanks!
Yeah suh this is really for the turntable users ok so my question is will we ever see an SRT version of the ddj 800 ??? With mechanical jog wheels ??? I really don’t care for moving platters tbh only think I like about them is the feel when scratch the feel is awesome aside from that not my style
At the time of launch, the DDJ-REV7 is supported only by Serato DJ Pro. However, algoriddim has been known to officially and unofficially support Pioneer DJ products. Check on their website for the list of supported DJ gear.
Every DJ software developer is in charge of mapping their own mapping for each device. Virtual DJ have it listed on their website which devices are supported.

I’ll be in the studio today & I’ll try it. I know recording mixes internally doesn’t compromise my sound quality.
No matter what software you use, the hardware fx stay the same. However, you do have access to software fx as well, which will have different options on different DJ software.

what about the 'reverse controller'. just make the computing/screen part of the stand alone devices, put a bolted on audio interface. so djs could just bring this one item the size of a really thick tablet with 7 in screen to gigs and plug into any analog mixer and it becomes a stand alone controller. its asic and runs the recordbox.
Hello everyone, while using my Pioneer Rev 7 and DJ at an event, one of my turntable had something pop up setting saying "Thru" on it. It wouldn't allow me to upload the next track. I had a lot of people pissed off with me. I couldn't work out what i pressed for this to happen so i had to turn the equipment off and on for it to work properly. How can I avoid this in the future? Just would like to know how these prices came out? 1899 USD is about 1665 EUR, and 1390 GBP.... but the prices are not like that outside of the US. We have 2099 EUR and 1829 GBP prices instead. It’s made in China, so to ship it to EU & UK directly is closer than the US, but way higher in price. I have a marketing and economics diploma, so don’t start from the grade 1 in your reply. Thx
It is actually made in Malaysia, not China, as the same factory as our other club gear. There are a ton of other factors that go into pricing that have nothing to do with shipping. For instance, the E.U. adds VAT to the end cost before being checked out of your shopping cart. In the US, sales tax is not factored in until after final check out, making the final sale price in the US higher than it looks like initially. Also, post shipment to a hub, much of Europe is somewhat fragmented and the end cost of shipment is much higher. (As the initial shipment may come by boat to said hub, and distance only applies when everything is air shipped, which products like these are not).

Hello Jon! Because of the spindle free design, the 7 inch platter actually feels larger. The absence of the spindle and any mechanism in the center removes the obstruction that can make the motorized jog wheel feel smaller. But don’t take our word for it, try it out at your local stores when they arrive! As for your request for one center display, they are actually two displays on the jog are large enough not only to show the main waveform, but also parallel waveforms as well. And because there are two, you can be in two different display modes or menus at once. You two total displays instead of one center one.
if denon is first, it just means it will buggy & flawed af.. much like the mc controllers were always in the shop at first. they cant finish a controller to save their lives.. same buttons & knobs as the cheaper numark line (same owners)

Can I record the Pioneer effects inside of Serato Dj for mix purposes? If not, how can I record into my DAW (Ableton) or Serato Studio?
Serato DJ Pro will record exactly what is coming output, including the hardware beat FX. The hardware FX are not in Serato.

It can be done. You will need to route the recording input of the REV7 into your DAW.

What your describing sounds like a laptop. And it does run rekordbox.

You likely accidentally switched the input selector to Line:Phono. The switch is above your trim knob on each channel.
Can I play FLAC on this controller ???
FLAC is supported on Serato which you can use any Serato compatible DJ controller with include the DDJ-REV7.
