MEANINGFULL GOALS
Life can throw you hurdles and it can easily make you feel there is no future. Having our parents get old and need to run to hospital stays, doctor visits and run errands. Dealing with Dementia is a real mental strain on everyone realizing you have to be patient and create less stress is important. It's hard to understand they completely forget what they were doing 5 minutes ago. Making sacrifices and taking responsibility on issues that take up a big part of your day.
Tom has had his own serious medical issues to take care of. Cataract Surgery in December and January. Hernia surgery in March. The last month I have seen Tom get stronger and more confident. The healing process was not easy but he is now up to riding 3 horses a day. You don't realize how important it is, when all you focus on is work and you don't take time for yourself.
Tom is looking forward to this year with his 4 year old mare Royal Dama aka "Stretch". She has been to a few shows over the last couple years and now it's time to do more. The winter has been long not only with medical issues but with weather. I believe this has been the wettest year since we came back home almost 9 years ago. Usually we are able to have people come ride all winter and it seemed like we didn't get a break at the right time.
Life challenges come and you have to have something that is important to give you drive to push through and have strength to keep trying. Hope everyone is able to move forward and achieve the goals for this year with no setbacks or too many hurdles.💞🐃🏇🌲
