I always laugh when people don’t believe when we Dears ( Dimash fans) claim he’s the best singer in the world,they think we’re exaggerating,but after hearing his performances they always make your face and are completely speechless, and it’s not just us who say it,there’re hundreds of professional singers and vocal experts who agree with the statement. If you’re still not sure if he sings live please check more of his performances or his concerts ,there’re many here on youtube.Have in mine he’s only 27 and is already considered a legend and a cult singer.

A lot of people also don't like Dimash either, I think it's all about real music, and music taken to next level, and a lot of people just don't appreciate it.. I think he is just an incredible artist, and it's not only about the singing, but also his immense stage presence, and his personal power! Nothing can prepare you for Dimash! you said that right I have been mesmerized by him for 0ver 5 years now and listen to him daily. It has a way of healing and a feeling of well being hearing his voice. no wonder his singing is used in therapy by medical specialists to deal with patient issues. You will find many who will tell you their personal life situations that changed for the better when they found DIMASH.
One part of how he does it is by starting with a God-given talent and working hard every day for 20 plus years to develop it. The rest is pure magic!

This is what happens when you take a child of 5 years old with a natural talent and perfect pitch and give them a musical education for 22 years.
7 octave range, sings in 14 languages, speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, speaks English fairly well and a smattering of mandarin. He trained first in Opera/Classical, moved on to Jazz/Contemporary. Got his first degree, went on to get a Masters in Composition and is currently doing a PhD in musicology focusing on the modern music industry.
He plays 7 instruments and often composes his own music but he's such a perfectionist that we only get to see a small sample of what he composes for himself. Check out War and Peace 2021 if you want to hear one of his own compositions. You will need to put the subtitles on for that one as it's in Chinese but everything on his own channel has subtitles in multiple languages as Dimash has fanclubs in 140 different countries.

You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS" 2017, "Sinful Passion, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Daybreak" at Bastau 2017. Each performance will leave you stunned.

Yeah. Essentially, I’ve just stopped attempting to understand this man. He commands and controls all mechanisms of sound frequency and resonance. I also follow (what many other Dimash followers “DEARS” do). Angelina, SoHyang, Diana A., Marcelito, Floor, etc. Even if you throw into the picture…MJ, Whitney, Freddie, Pavarotti…my humble mind understands that Dimash is beyond…well, my comprehension. He’s literally the next evolution of vocals and also a subject of study by many vocal experts and schools.
So right!He's in the command of every possible sound,known or unknown!Human sound,nature sound,alien and birds sound!Maybe even alien(as some would say)

He still trains every day. He has a 7 octave range and sings in 13 languages. He is learning how to speak English and has gotten pretty good at it. Sos from his digital show next then sinful passion. You will get many request. Sos next will be requested the most. It’s the song that skyrocketed his career. I think you will really enjoy this journey of this amazing talent.

Dimash speaks fluently in Kazackh and Russian (his native languages), and is working on his fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English. In his spare time (ha-ha!) he's working on his Ph.D. in musicology. He can swim the length of an Olympic swimming pool underwater which helps with his breath control. Interesting song for a first hearing of Dimash.... Most start with his early entrance / explosion onto the world stage at I am a singer in China in 2017, especially his very first song there, "SOS". Olympico is a great song of his, written specifically for him by Ivor Krutoy the composer / pianist featured again here. One of my own favourites is "Autumn Strong" from I am a Singer 2017.
I think it is a good song to introduce the western ears to DIMASH... There are many Americans that have a hard time with foreign language songs.. many can't identify actual talent verses manufactured sounds.. I think, just like SOS & OGNI PETRA/ OLIMPICO, his performance of STRANGER is a perfect exposition of the scope of his talent... But in English...

This was also my first listen to Dimash and all I can say is 'Holy Vocal Range, Batman!' Production or no production, you can't deny that impressive range!
You need to hear songs from the Singer competition like SOS and Autumn Strong. Although it's a TV show it's also a competition so it's much less 'produced'. But his fans have heard him sing in many circumstances, Acapella, at concerts without a mike, backstage singing for Andrea Bocelli and even singing quietly to himself walking through an airport, his voice really is that good.
Plus he's an amazing person with a beautiful personality who loves his fans as much as we love him. He's kind, gentle, loving and generous with an extremely funny sense of humour. The fans are often making him crack up laughing mid song at concerts.

Actually, the production here is completely standard, nothing special, no autotune or any voice alteration. I actually attended several of his concerts and I prefer how his voice sounds more beautiful and rich with no production at all, on fancams, a capella or even without mic.

Yes, you are not the first one who could not understand what he hears, what is happening and how to understand it all. Someone runs away from the room, someone in hysterics bangs his head against the wall, and someone falls to the floor shouting: "Impossible!!!".
But it's possible. Because Dimash sings it, and for him there is nothing impossible in music. The famous composer Igor Krutoy, who writes music specifically for Dimash, said that it's just a pleasure for him to work with Dimash: you don't need to think about the complexity of the music - Dimash will sing everything! And most importantly: Dimash has a fantastic vocal range of more than 7 octaves, phenomenal breath control, incredible ability to work. And as a person, Dimash is surprisingly open, kind, loves his family - mom and dad, grandparents, brother and sister - and loves his homeland Kazakhstan.

Dimash is a bass, a baritone, a tenor, an alto, a mezzo and a soprano all in one singer. He also can make whistle higher than Mariah Carey. Because he is a magical dolphin :) He sings in 12 languages. Of course Dimash isn't speaking all of them, but he is studying hard. This is a god given singer from Kazakhstan. The Kazakh operatic angel.

Dimash has so much music to choose from. I think a lot of people hear 2/3 really super popular songs that are usually from shows or competitions so of course he's being showy and going all out. His studio song for the Tokyo Jazz Fest "Ikanaide" (need subtitles or read lyrics before) is very moving. There is a story from WWI behind the love song. Anyway I love him. Always will. In 2017 Dimash participated as a "dark horse" in the Chinese "I Am Singer" competition. He was just 22. Now he's 27. Everyone mentions his otherworldly range, but it's his interpretation that pulls us Dears (world-wide fans) into such passion. He sings in 13, yes 13 languages. Since I haven’t heard every singer in the world, I won’t say he’s the best in the world. BUT in terms of sheer native talent, insane range, and technical skill developed, obviously, over at least two decades of intensive training, he’s the best I have ever heard. He does speak English (and several other languages) but he was born in Kazakhstan, and he’s still working on his accent.
Fun story: the bald guy behind the piano is master composer Igor Krutoy, who was semi-retired when he heard Dimash sing (see the video Sinful Passion-you’ll see him leading the standing ovation at the end). He came out of retirement to work with Dimash, and has written a lot of fantastic music for him, including this piece.
I agree about Angelina Jordan-she’s amazing but it’s not my cup of tea. I’m not that wild about New Wave/neoclassical music, which is more Dimash’s preferred thing, so I actually enjoy hearing Avi and Geoff, Voiceplay,etc., more. But I definitely check it out whenever he releases something new because he never fails to make my jaw drop with some new vocal innovation.
You should definitely check out SOS (the early version lets you see Dimash’s roots-it was a vocal competition in China, and SOS is one of the best songs for Dimash because it lets him strut out not only his range but his mastery of many different musical styles and techniques-although this song does the same). Sinful Passion is excellent, and as I say it’s where Dimash connected with Krutoy (many of us think the two of them should collaborate on the theme song for the next 007 movie). Ogni Pietra (Olympico) is one of their early collaborations and it shows off more of Dimash’s classical training (he was offered a job in a major opera house but chose to go solo). Ave Maria, Ikenade, his duet with Li Yugang (sort of a sing-off/mashup of different styles and techniques-plus he hits some crazy whistle notes). Oh and you really should check out some of his traditional cultural music like Daididau, and for fun, Opera 2 (he’s actually forbidden to sing that these days because Vitas-the guy who wrote the song for himself-well, listen to his version and then Dimash’s and you’ll see why he might not appreciate the comparison.

Dimash is a gifted phenom with 7 octaves and plays multiple instruments, but he has worked very hard since the age of 5 to reach this level. Frankly I believe he is on a level all his own. Besides that he is a humble and giving person. I’m a DEAR for life.

I recommend the 2017 SOS. He was truly a stranger in a strange land. He had to go first as a wildcard in a Chinese competition. He was the only foreigner. He was up against all professional Chinese singers. They now have a saying, if you are having a bad day, just think about having sing after Dimash

That was the best singer in the World showing about 1/2 of what he is capable of. Dimash can sing anything, in any register, in any style, with almost infinite breath control. And as a bonus .......He sings with great emotion. Always "telling the story" of the songs he sings. By the way he does speak English. And 3 other Languages. 4 in total. Brilliant!! Absolutely no-one who knows would recommend this performance as a first taste of Dimash, its almost to shocking for the uninitiated! This was one of his most recent releases, and is him after a lifetime of honing his craft and understanding his instrument.
I suggest you go back to 2017 and his many performances on the Chinese show 'I Am Singer', and start with SOS, his, and the, first performance of the show, and then chronologically from there. This was his breakout performance, after which he became an overnight sensation in China, and has slowly worked his way around the world. Some countries are much more familiar with him, but as he has mostly refused to be controlled by a record label or the like and has stuck fast to his principals and creative rights.
