I am always curious about everyone's Top 100 list. I look for clues. For example, must like you said, if a certain area had way too many wines included in the list and they were all the same vintage, that would be a solid clue that something special was happening.
I don't read the Wine Spectator anymore but like you said, the Top 100 list provides a lot of insight into wine trends. I have to look at some others at the end of this year.
