You know, when AM6 comes out and the last AM5 needs to get sold.
I built my gaming PC in autum 2023 and the difference is signifcant: For the price I got a Ryzen 7600 and RX 7800 XT and could now get better parts (7600X and 7900 GRE)! I spent ~ 1600 € though but that's because I splurged a bit on case, CPU cooler, fans, and PSU.

About to switch my desktop from the RX6600 to the RX7600 which I replaced with the 7600XT in my gaming "rig" I also dual boot in all my PC builds and AMD plays better with Linux.
Subbed, good info. My one solid suggestion is to go with the peerless assassin se (which also comes in black) for better cooling. If this was my budget (personal preference) I would have got the 7600 and used stock cooling, taking that extra money to upgrade to a better airflow case like the nzxt h6 flow. I think with a slightly different approach you can even create a build without compromising on the case and motherboard. Since nowadays you almost always look at your build and not just at the screen like before, in my opinion the need to compromise on optics in favor of the price when designing the budget of the build is over. Instead, I'm trying to save some money while I'm planning a new build, for which I give myself about 2 months on average, then I'll divide the purchasing of the parts over another 2 months ;-) so that there's no one-time financial burden and the budget should also be sufficient to easily finance a white build based on, say, a Lian Li 011 EVO RGB. Plus 6 Lian Li Unifans and a Galahad II Trinity AiO. For CPU and motherboard I would then go for a 7800X3D and a solid Gigabyte B650E Aorus Elite X AX ICE / ASRock B650E Steel Legend Wifi or ASUS Rog Strix B650 - A Gaming Wifi. And e voila you have a handsome build that you can look at every day and be more than satisfied with it visually 👌🏻 and for a little context on how I come to this, I have been building gaming rigs for more than 27 years now and as a result of the experience of that whole years. I can say that with this approach you should be able to fulfill your desire for a high-end build even if you don't have the salary of a high earner 😉
Très belle présentation, les choix me semblent pas mal; je pense que j'aurai mis un water cooling, pour donner un effet plus dégager. Merci à la prochaine.
I have it paired with a 14700KF and it flies. I get 100 fps avg in Cyberpunk at 1440p Ultra. VR performance is above what I got on a 3090, and AV1 in virtual desktop is extremely good. Overall an amazing gpu, very cold and I got it in white (Sapphire Pure).
I'm looking to upgrade to the 7900 GRE, and I see this build has a 650W PSU Gold. Would a 700PSU Bronze work ok? Very cool machine! The GRE is for me best value GPU for the price and the R5 7600X is very good too. I just dont like the CoolerMaster case, I think a simple Fractal Design will be better.
I am planning to upgrade my PC overall and am planning for a build to support 4K gaming. Currently using a RTX 3050 mini ITX 8GB which I had bought 2 years back. Primary purpose of pc: AAA Story driven Gaming, Video Editing for UA-cam, Programming with Visual Studio/other softwares and watching movies. Kindly suggest.
The only part I would have changed is the CPU. If you skimp or go budget on the CPU you end up having to get upgrade that anyways. Speaking from a PCVR gaming perspective where VR is very CPU intensive
Not bad, especially since I already have a 650w PSU. I want to be able to RT on my next GPU gaming in 3440*1440p though. I would be down scaling from 4k. 3700x/6700xt to 5800x3D to (4080S or ????) I know I would need to upgrade my PSU. Great review in any case.
4070ti super is good enough for ultrawide, no need to spend the extra 200 or more bucks on a 4K card when you can spend them on better parts or monitor instead.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I hear you, but she already recommended the 4080S in her review for it. Though I can sell my 6700xt and get the 4070tiS for about $500-600. If you're in the US and near a Microcenter, they offer bundles on motherboard/processor/memory. I got a nicer MB, 32GB DDR5 RAM, a 7800X3D, 850 watt PSU, cooling fan, and 2TB NVME drive for $860. Another $100 for a case and $560 or so for the 7900 GRE and I'm $1520. If I got the 7700X bundle, I'd get 32GB of DDR4 RAM for $100 less.

I'm sure you already have an Intel and/or Nvidia build to compare this with. But yeah, I want to see more of these comparison budget build. We're all sick of high-end PC builds because that's what we almost hear and see from different pc builders. But this type of build is where the majority want to see.

That was a really helpful video with a lot of helpful information especially the 2t ssd idk why nobody told me that, great work 👍 . If I changed the cpu to r5 7500f is the Deepcool ag400 good cooler, if not what cooler should I pick
32GB is a tad low these days if you run a few more things (Chome on the side swallows 3-4GB by default, Discord likes 700MB, Steam and Epic another 1GB, recording gameplay, etc) and it adds up. 64GB is a lot right away so now we have the middle ground of 48GB, it makes sense to me.
@@killkiss_son Some games will need 32GB of ram for highest settings or large maps already, like Star Citizen, Spider-Man Remastered, Anno 1800, Cities: Skylines. But the ones I play are DCS (if I play a very high res detailed model it breezes past the 32), Endless Space 2 with large galaxies, ArmA 3. Also I edit videos so more ram more better.
@@jamegumb7298 I've never seen spider man remastered max out 32Gb, especially since it's a PS4 game originally, which only had 8 Gb. Had a comparable setup for a fried for 1300€. 7900GRE, 7600 (non-x) and asus tuf 650 (non-wifi). Had to take pre-build by vendor and windows-license into account, so I could not fit the 7600x in. Nonethe less, the AM5 platform is good for upgrading to latest CPU in 2026.
Wow, crazy good value right here. I didn't expect much out of the 7900GRE, but it's hanging with the 4070 and 4070 super.
Even the 7800 XT is faster than the 4070 in raster
@@killkiss_son Not across the board. Some are and some not. Some games really like nvidia's approach. Most games run faster on AMD's 7800xt.
Looks really good. cheers.
Very nice video. Thanks again.
These kind of videos are like window shopping except i already have a 4070 build
I both hate and love these. I love it because it inspires me to build. I hate it because it inspires me to build! 🤣 Thank you for letting me live vicariously :)
Nice clean build
This was a really good build. I was worried about the Power consumption as I do have a 650w PSU on my rig and thought if I wanna upgrade to a 7900 gre I would also have to upgrade my PSU. But watching this video helps confirm that I dont need to. I appreciate the video!
Thanks! Do keep your CPU power draw in mind as well, if you have something that uses a lot more power it might get tricky.
For just a little more price I took my roommate to Micro Center and we got him almost everything for a new PC for his 4k 144hz monitor
7800x3d/b650/32gb ddr5 6000 bundle - $499
open box XFX 7900 gre - $480
open box Montech case with 3 argb intake fans - 60$
360mm argb AIO - $100
super flower gold rated modular PSU - $80
2tb gen 4 ssd we got on sale from amazon a couple months ago for $90
Your earring!!!! I'm in love!!!
I am going to get a very similar build for high frames 1440p! For competitive shooters
Possibly see if I could get a Thermalright Phantom Spirit / ThermalrightFrost Commander 140 Air Cooler, or bigger GameMax F15M, iONZ KZ-Z cases. Depending if a USB-C case port is important for accessories. To get any extra performance from a cooler temp PC. Then it would loose all of your Stealth gaming rig look.
^ This. The Phantom Spirit is both a better cooler and cheaper than the one in the video.
way to go ! indeed, cpu for 4k or close, is not that important. 😊
Indeed, it's a great build with a great price. I'm thinking of something like that.
great video. currently trying to get a similar build going and maybe squeeze in that beautiful 7800X3D 😅
how many fans would you be able to put inside with how it currently is, like the max amount and what area of the case to put them? Also what size fans would you pick?
Bought the RX7600 for 249.00 at Microcenter. 4 months later the RX7600XT 16GB was on sale for 289.00. I have also in the last 6 months grabbed an ARC A380 for 75.00 ARC A580 for 159.00 and the ARC A750 OC for 189.00 all on sale at Microcenter. Built 2 for me. 1 for my Niece. About to switch my desktop from the RX6600 to the RX7600 which I replaced with the 7600XT in my gaming "rig" I also dual boot in all my PC builds and AMD plays better with Linux.
Great overall build! I just don't like how the 7900 GRE is $160 more expensive than a 7800 xt in my country (PH).
Sorry brother, some countries sks
Subbed, good info. My one solid suggestion is to go with the peerless assassin se (which also comes in black) for better cooling. If this was my budget (personal preference) I would have got the 7600 and used stock cooling, taking that extra money to upgrade to a better airflow case like the nzxt h6 flow. I might have also spent a little more on the mb since I would be anticipating at least one cpu upgrade in the future.
Very Good PC. Thank you this video
nice build , some cases come with 3 ventilators for a cheap price
love seeing you bye
Nice compact pc.
I spent $2600 4 years ago on my first PC (3080,i5-10600k,32GB Ram,850W PSU,Premium case/fans) and it still holds on well, Nowadays its more important that developers optimize the games! Everybody should be easily running 1440/4k games now with cheaper current hardware =D
$2600? That is quite a lot. Did you buy that 3080 at the inflated prices or was the case some very expensive fancy one and the motherboard too?
@@SIPEROTH my pc cost 4400$ 7900x + 7900 xtx - 64gb 6000 - 3x 2tb m2 7000/7000 - 150i 3x watercooler - 1000 watt psu.. i build it last year.. but, u need to add like 25-30% norwegian tax shit
@@noxlar, $4k ?,wow , even with 30% tax , GPU and cpu shouldn't have cost more than $1800 , I did the math , now you must have gone bat shit on crazy case and $1k on stupid motherboard,

I threw some 2in caster wheels from home depot onto that case 👌
Merci à la prochaine.
you should add intake fan in that case..
I’d go with a different case.Unless the Q300L V2 is a huge improvement over the V1, I’d take using the motherboard’s box over using that case.
its still as bad! the mesh pattern on the front is misleading! the wholes behind the mesh grid are just as small as on the v1!
If you did go with the 7800x3d, would that motherboard still be good?
It's.. "fine". If you can afford a slightly stronger one, great, but if you're mostly gaming it really shouldn't cause you any issues.
No. Get b650
I'm looking to upgrade to the 7900 GRE, and I see this build has a 650W PSU Gold. Would a 700PSU Bronze work ok? I read I needed a 750-800 PSU minimum but this video got my hopes up :(
6700xt (Undervolt)
R7 5700x3D
64GB Ram 3200 mhz (4slots)
DeepCool AG620
Gigabyte B700H (700w 80 plus bronze)
4 -120mm fans + 1 80 mm fan
Think I would go with a I5 13600KF and 64 gigs of DDR 4 with matching motherboard along with a 4tb ssd mouthed in the rear.
Very cool machine! The GRE is for me best value GPU for the price and the R5 7600X is very good too. I just dont like the CoolerMaster case, I think a simple Fractal Design will be better.
The PSU recommendation for the 7900gre is 700w. A 750w unit is a safer bet.
Ok that monitor is crazy
The only part I would have changed is the CPU. If you skimp or go budget on the CPU you end up having to get upgrade that anyways. Speaking from a PCVR gaming perspective where VR is very CPU intensive
Not bad, especially since I already have a 650w PSU. I want to be able to RT on my next GPU gaming in 3440*1440p though. I would be down scaling from 4k.
3700x/6700xt to 5800x3D to (4080S or ????) I know I would need to upgrade my PSU. Great review in any case.
Yes get the 4080 super and the 5800x3d. Upgrade to an 850 power supply or a 1,000 watt power supply.
Jawa wants to give $190 instantly, but its hard finding someone to buy it for more in a reasonable time frame. Basically would be paying the price of a 7900GRE for it, plus the PSU.
@@Xilent1 If your PSU is gold or platinum you won't need a new one for the 4070tiS.
You dont get AMD if you want ray tracing. Grab a 4070/4080, run dlss, and enjoy.
I think you meant DDR5 at the end of your comment. Modify that before a swarm of idiots come and make fun of you for a simple missclick 😂
Maam, in our country the ryzen 5 7500f is easily be found it tech stores, will it be ideal if i pair it with rx 7900 gre?
Gonna go for 16 gigs ddr5 ram and a 1080p 180hz monitor at first, then gonna go for 1440p after a while.
I'm sure you already have an Intel and/or Nvidia build to compare this with. But yeah, I want to see more of these comparison budget build. We're all sick of high-end PC builds because that's what we almost hear and see from different pc builders. But this type of build is where the majority want to see.
당신이 장점뿐만 아니라 단점을 이야기 할떄마다 신뢰성이 높아지네요👍
I do wonder, does asus mobo get shipped with a seal or sticker? My x670e motherboard doesnt have any kind of seal
Personaly, i would go with montech 903 max case and 7500f and probably asrock hdv m.2 but that would depend on prices in Oranje country
7500f isn't available in 90% of Europe, or at the same price as the 7600/X
In 3-4 months I will do it my need to save up 3-4k for full room setup
Is 650w psu enough for that gpu when oced and do heavier AAA game in 1440p?
Ah, finaly found a content with the exact rig of mine😅
Bonus: the power connector on AMD graphics cards won't set your computer on fire.
Yeah, I wouldn't have thought that a joke like that could ever be true
I'm stuck between the xt, and the gre. The issue is I can't find a gre at the $550 mark.
Is the 650W enough if you would swap the 7600x with a 5700x3D?
could be possible to do a video with the 4070 super and this 7900 gre to see wich one is more worth it?
gorgeous, and the pc is nice too
how did you manage to get ssd and ddr for 100 EUR each? it only week since video is out and price for each is 150+ EUR
if its a gaming rig with tight budget.. i would get the cheapest cpu there is.. now.. and get 78003D later.. rest of build was great..and agree with additional fan
I like this case I seen on another video 99.99 US, I think it's worth it- DeepCool CH360 DIGITAL mATX Airflow case
Nah 32Gb is just fine, games never take more than ≈ 15Gb except if you play beamng or something
Also if you do editing or development on UE5 for example yeah, 32Gb may become a bottleneck but for 99.9% of games 32Gb is enough and even 16Gb is the recommended amount of RAM of 95% of games
are you sure the miles morales results are accurate? I can get around 100 fps with fsr quality at 1440p high/ultra on my 5800x3d/6700xt
