This series was soo well done and bringing back characters that have interacted in the comics. I'm guessing you didn't notice the outfit that Echo's father was wearing in the flashback scenes which reveals what his past profession was. And yes, Lucky the Pizza Dog is part of the comics.
Hawkeye was surprisingly heart wrenching. So rooted into reality and so relatable for many different reasons. And most importantly, it’s one of the most wholesome series so far. THANK YOU! For acknowledging how insanely hard gymnastics is. As someone who spent their life dedicated to gymnastics, I absolutely hate when media treats the sport as something you can master while also mastering other sports.
Yay! Hawkeye is easily the most fun of the MCU Disney+ shows but also for me the most emotionally affecting one too, and episode 3 for me was the best episode from all the shows so far. Hailee Steinfeld is perfect casting as Kate Bishop and is so much fun to watch, while also nailing the emotions and sincerity of the role.
Re: the bell tower, her gimmicked up arrow rang it too hard, basically. It started swinging so wide it was hitting the walls, it took out its own support and fell.
What’s hilarious is that I was actually wondering yesterday when you’d be reacting to Hawkeye and here we are!!! You are going to REALLY like this series!! But what I can say, is that you MIGHT need to watch a few more Marvel shows that AREN’T officially in the MCU. I would recommend watching the Daredevil series that used to be on Netflix but it now on Disney+. It’s a great series in which I haven’t caught up so far with my semester going on and it’s finals week. But you should definitely give the Defenders Saga a chance!! Hawkeye is honestly one of my favorite series in the MCU and I’m so happy that you’re catching up! Moon Knight is honestly one heck of a trip!! So things are gonna be interesting from here on out!
Daredevil is really good. Jessica Jones is pretty good. Luke Cage is meh. Iron Fist is kinda poor. Defenders takes the worst of all of them and makes it into an ensemble series. Best part of Iron Fist and Defenders is Jessica Henwick as Colleen, she's really great.
actually, they brought in the netflix series to the mcu and brought the agents of shield in with them. i believe that it's going to be what "universe or timeline" that they will be a part of.

On the clock tower thing a lot of older clock towers don’t actually ring because they’ve decayed over time and it might cause damage so they just play the sound over a speaker instead
Think of it like this, every time Clint sees something that both Nat (Black Widow) and him were involved in it reminds him of her sacrifice. When someone thanks him for saving the world that directly reminds him that he was “suppose” to be the one to make the sacrifice and NOT Black Widow
Yay Nat. So happy you're doing this. Hawkeye is my favourite marvel comic book character since I was around 10, and I have every one of his comic book appearances. I was very worried about this show when announced but, it's fantastic. maybe even better than Loki, from a storytelling perspective... Hope you like it.
I binged this one a few days before christmas, since i was visiting home and had downtime. I didn’t expect a whole lot, but i thoroughly enjoyed it, I may even like it more than any of the other MCU series’. I can’t say it’s *better* than Wandavision or Loki, or maybe even FatWS, but there was so much about it that i just completely loved that makes it the show I look back on the most fondly.
Most old bells don't actually ring in those towers anymore. Often they are recordings. The towers frequently are no longer structurally sound. My private school's bell was a recording for that very reason.
Why would you think Clint would be a "fucked up parental figure?" He's a great dad. I think she also missed the most important part of the opening credits. Kate wasn't a prodigy, she got knocked down a lot...but she got back up every time. Also, the clock tower was a historical building that was closed to entry because it wasn't structurally sound. So, ringing the bell was a bad idea.
I’m glad Nat finally got to Hawkeye, even though I forgot that she hadn’t done it yet. Every UA-cam reaction to Hawkeye was very much the same in a lot of specific scenes (in a good way). For example, everyone responded the same way Nat did to the opening scene in regards to “Where the (bleep) was mom at, while the building was blowing up. Nat’s response to the dog running in the street was like everyone else’s which (kinda) shocks me because I had no fear that they would hurt or killing the dog (especially in episode one). Ultimately I enjoyed this show 2nd best to WandaVision. It was a lot more light hearted and fun.
I will say, comic readers were far more worried for the dog in that scene because in the Matt Fraction run this series takes inspiration from, the dog *was* seriously hurt. So it was mostly a reference and tease to the readers.
I believe there's a church in Northern Kentucky that has a huge bell that was rung once, and it ended up breaking windows and actually damaging buildings, and so was never rung again... maybe the college bell was something like that.
To be honest, I always thought of Hawkeye as the least of the Avengers, so I went into this show with low expectations. But I ended up really enjoying it! Glad that you are reacting to it Natalie.
Clint being embarrassed when the restaurant bought them dinner is very grounded in the real world. I've heard from many vets that they don't know what to do or say when someone tells them "thank you for your service. It's a bit sad that Grills wished he was a super-hero. The man's a firefighter; what's more heroic than that?
in this fast-paced world of Marvel content, I sorta forgot how much I loved this series. it's cool to sort of watch it again along with fresh eyes. i honestly think this has been one of the best things Marvel has done in the last few years. Steinfeld and Renner are great, its a good story, and it fills in nice little details. people always deride Hawkeye as the worst Avenger, but I disagree- he and Nat were the heart of the group. i'm having a blast re-watching this with ya. :)
The bell was probably a preserved historical building and not meant to be rung. Likely there was no access to the bell rope, and she bypassed that by shooting an arrow across the building, therefore destroying a minor historical landmark. It absolutely is on her.
21:07 "rozumiesz to?" means "Do you understand?" in Polish, for us Poles this actor is kinda well known and he made the series so much better by speaking broken english and adding polish words here and there :D
In the comics they are called the Tracksuit Vampires (mostly because they wear tracksuits and have Eastern European accents, they aren't actual vampires).
The Rogers: the Musical bit was written by Marc Shaiman. There's a really wonderful episode of the youtube series "Wait in the Wings" which is an entire fake documentary about the behind-the-scenes story of Rogers: the Musical. Highly recommended.
The musical number was written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. They've done some pretty awesome musical number like Hairspray. The end credit scene for the final episode of this series is the full version of this. It's awesome (at least to me).
5:10 I’m just hearing, “Eh, the building was coming down anyway.” “YOU BROUGHT DOWN A BUILDING???” “It was on fire, structurally unsound, it was coming down anyway.” “Please tell me you weren’t listening to the police scanner again…..” But for real, I had the same thought that if 1 arrow can bring the whole thing down, that’s on the architect or builders. It should have come down from a stiff breeze.

So it's not really a spoiler since it's not covered anywhere, is information readily available and it exposes nothing in the series. And you mentioned, by the time we've seen this, Nat's probably finished the series already.
I was so sad Natasha had to sacrifice herself, but for this family? I can see why she did. She was their Auntie Nat after all.
Kate is a founding member of a team in the comics called the Young Avengers. The MCU is laying the groundwork for the team lately by introducing the following characters:
- Cassie Lang (Stature) from Antman
- Billy (Wiccan) and Tommy (Speed) Maximoff from WandaVision
- Eli Bradley (Patriot) from Falcon & Winter Soldier
Don't forget about young Loki.
I think (and hope) they will mix the Young Avengers with Marvel Rising, by including Ms. Marvel, Ironheart and America Chaves in this team.
And they might even introduce Miles Morales by then to add to the team
@@stevenfriedman2902 he is a Sony character. They might not allow it
@@freddyfleal If they are going to do that I am holding out hope for Squirrel Girl. She and Ms. Marvel are two of my favorites
I really really enjoyed this series i think it was done so well. Probably the best paced of all the live action shows so far. The scene where Clint is on the phone to his kid in ep 3 made me cry 😭 Renner doing that good acting
Hawkeye's hearing problems are from the comic book series, from all of the explosions
In the comics, it's different. Kazi's character shoots an arrow through his ears
@@mitchbalkaran5655 Comics Hawkeye has needed a hearing aid since at least the early 80's.
@@snorpenbass4196 The 80's story was minor and never touched on again, he wasn't deaf in main continuity comics until the Fraction/Aja run where they put the spotlight on it
Ugh it's going to be hard to wait for the rest of the episodes. I loved this series so much. It definitely lived up to the Matt Fraction Hawkeye comics. (and specific things like Lucky the Pizza Dog and the Tracksuit mafia are form that comic) :)
Oh and also Jack is known as The Swordsman in the comics. Clearly.
Whoever edited this video deserves an Oscar!
Cameron does no wrong 🏆
This show is so wholehearted the whole time. Just makes your heart warm
“Listen it could be worse kid” with the Batman slowly scrolling across the screen, you, Natalie, are a legend.
I've watched enough of Natalie's videos to know that she would be a perfect fit for the Tracksuit Mafia....
....bro.
I totally agree with you, bro
@@SeanBlader well I won't argue with the acting as you described it, iron fist and defenders had the best cinematography you could actually see what was going on in most of the fight scenes I stopped watching Daredevil because I wanted to see more detail in the fights than they let us see
@@earlgendron4893 Iron Fist had the worst editing during the fight scenes.
@@MalcomMcLeod and yet it was still easier to follow the action than daredevil. Iron fist had a reason for the bad editing in that fin had not had any martial arts training prior to filming because they cast him so late in the process. So they had to hide that he didn't know what he was doing until the 5th episode. The early episodes get a bit of leeway from me due to that fact if they had had a second season that would not have received the same Leway
Hailey Steinfeld did an amazing job in this series and cemented herself as a one of the new Avengers. This series was fantastic. I can't wait for the rest of the reactions from you!
Merry Christmas! I wanted to re-watch Hawkeye but not alone. I love your reactions!
The only reactor I watch the full into/outro. Such a soothing relaxed person. I want to be as zen as you.
i am literally begging u to watch daredevil pls!!! apart from his cameo in no way home, daredevil plays into hawkeye as well and i feel like you’ll have a greater understanding of some stuff if you do!!!
Glad you are watching this! It was the perfect Christmas show for me-I'm a real Christmas guy AND an archer-and has just the right amount of comedy with the action. Steinfeld is awesome in this. Can't wait to watch you watch the rest!
Yes, you've kept us waiting long enough!!!! Thank you for doing it.
This was my favorite MCU show.. I'm enjoying Moon Knight.. but this is still my favorite. I also love watching these different show.. then immediately watching New Rockstars talk about the easter eggs haha
On the clock tower thing a lot of older clock towers don’t actually ring because they’ve decayed over time and it might cause damage so they just play the sound over a speaker instead
That Paul Rudd headline nearly killed me with laughter 🤣🤣🤣
Think of it like this, every time Clint sees something that both Nat (Black Widow) and him were involved in it reminds him of her sacrifice. When someone thanks him for saving the world that directly reminds him that he was “suppose” to be the one to make the sacrifice and NOT Black Widow
This is my favorite show. I loved every bit of it. It's def top 5 MCU in general for me. I just love it.
Yay Nat. So happy you're doing this. Hawkeye is my favourite marvel comic book character since I was around 10, and I have every one of his comic book appearances. I was very worried about this show when announced but, it's fantastic. maybe even better than Loki, from a storytelling perspective... Hope you like it.
So glad you’re watching this. I loved this comic run. Lucky the One-eyed Pizza Dog is my favorite.
So glad this is finally coming around! I loved this series so damn much. Kate Bishop is easily my favorite "new class" MCU hero
Nat's face when the musical started was my exact reaction. lol.
"Bad mother! bad mother!"
palpatine voice: good... good...
Yeah ppl don’t seem to give Clint credit where it’s due and assume Kate is some perfect prodigy :/
"We should walk the dog" is one of my favorite moments in this series!
I believe there's a church in Northern Kentucky that has a huge bell that was rung once, and it ended up breaking windows and actually damaging buildings, and so was never rung again... maybe the college bell was something like that.
Really love this show. Some of my favorite characters are in it. Good that you got to see it!
To be honest, I always thought of Hawkeye as the least of the Avengers, so I went into this show with low expectations. But I ended up really enjoying it! Glad that you are reacting to it Natalie.
He's at the same level as Natasha; he's just not a hot redhead. ;)
the amount of "daddy"s said in such a short time made me laugh ngl
I feel terrible that I never hear it as a normal word anymore XD
I’m so happy, I’ve been waiting for this reaction, I recently found this channel and I’ve been just binge watching your videos ❤️
Yess clicked on the notification so quickly once i saw it pop up, So excited to see your reaction to this series .
Oh, Nat is gonna love the end of show after-credits scene!
I like you even more now that I know you did gymnastics. I am a guy who did gymnastics for 15 years. I love watching your reactions.
The music for the musical was composed by Marc Shaiman. He is best known for his work on the Broadway version of Hairspray.
21:06 "Rozumiesz to"? " in polish means " do you know that? " this guy that plays that member of the gang is a famous actor in Poland (Piotr Adamczyk)
in this fast-paced world of Marvel content, I sorta forgot how much I loved this series. it's cool to sort of watch it again along with fresh eyes. i honestly think this has been one of the best things Marvel has done in the last few years.
Hawkeye larping was funny and awesome at the same time
Yay, I'm excited for this, I really enjoyed this show!! Glad you're watching it!
Commenting to help with the algoritm and Also because your edits are awesome. The fly swatting Edit was super cool
Yessss finally. I think this is right up Nat’s alley in term of MCU material.
Hawkeye is honestly one of my favorite characters... and I love that this show featured him so well.
fun fact: The Avengers have never lost a battle when Hawkeye is with them. In infinity war he was retired
21:07 "rozumiesz to?" means "Do you understand?" in Polish, for us Poles this actor is kinda well known and he made the series so much better by speaking broken english and adding polish words here and there :D
So glad you’re doing it!!! This show is a treat!
The screws for young Maya is the cousin of the actress for Maya(Alaqua Cox) and received some couching from her elder cousin in ASL
There's a major battle going on. People are being killed, space monster are invading....
Natalie: hm, that's going to affect property values
In the comics they are called the Tracksuit Vampires (mostly because they wear tracksuits and have Eastern European accents, they aren't actual vampires).
Glad you finally got to this one. It was a fun ride!
I had to pauze the video to laugh for a little bit after the ant-man joke... your editor deserves a raise! that really got me for some reason 😂
Yayy! I was waiting for this, Kate Bishop is my new favourite MCU character.
yikes
@@c-mc who’s yours then 😂
@@adamsbriee6330 Thor who's easily a better character
21:05 "rozumiesz to" its "do you understand this ?" in polish. The actor who said that its polish actor. Greetings from Poland !
I bet Nat ends up loving the Jack character by the end of the series.
I had no idea this show would be this good. kind of amazed.
i tried holding off for part 2 to be released but i couldn't, i truly got a kick out of this show on my first watch.
Yass finally
5:10 I’m just hearing, “Eh, the building was coming down anyway.”
“YOU BROUGHT DOWN A BUILDING???”
“It was on fire, structurally unsound, it was coming down anyway.”
“Please tell me you weren’t listening to the police scanner again…..”
But for real, I had the same thought that if 1 arrow can bring the whole thing down, that’s on the architect or builders. It should have come down from a stiff breeze.
She wasn't so much "ringing" the bell as she was "rocking" the bell.
Lucky the pizza dog is a character in the comics. He first appeared in the Hawkeye series this show's mostly referencing, but in the comics the one who saved him from the car accident was Clint (and I think it got hit by the car in the comics).
i love your reactions Natalie
I really loved this series! Kate Bishop is one of my favorite new additions to the MCU! 😁
Scene 13:23: It’s part of the script Nat the writers are dumb therefore making the best actors look dumb so we criticize the hardly for it.
omgggg your dog looks soooo cuteeeeeee! its exactly like my dog colour and everything
