I agree. This is one of my favourite songs, and to see someone cover it well not only surprises me, but fills me with respect. Any Muse song is really hard to cover, but one as complicated as this sounding good is amazing.

I don't mean one must sound like Matt vocally but as I am personally very fond of Matt's elongated and scatty notes with his falsetto range, this was definitely missing here.. I.E. from 2.43, that is an eclectic range and mix of high and low notes plus the falsetto. I have yet to hear a cover that incorporates that "Matt style". Apologies, this cover really is great..I am just a die-hard MUSE fan with every note of every song en-grained in my brain.. Rock on MUSERS!
OmgItsDedi As a casual observer I don't think any of them necessarily lack in talent, at least they are all easily good enough to play this song, but the audio set up and mixing for this song sounds really poor to me. It detracts a lot from the performance in my opinion. Then again I could be talking complete shite.
@ozzyconron i used the same settings but mounted the zoom on the hot shoe of my Canon and most important the venue were i recorded this has a good sound system.
@MegaGoldenLover LEVEL MANUALLY ON 14 FORMAT = 96 kHz / 24 Bit works for me better a to low recording level ( afterwards you can correct that) than a to high recording level. (witch is impossible to correct without a big losses in qualiy)

well, she sings like a fan, doesn't have full control over the song... sometimes her voice "flies away" as if singing techno... the bass player gives up the famous riff without even punching the strings like that... also he uses a pick... and at some pint (fucking kills my enemies, for example) the drum produces a break, together with the whole band... which is misinterpretation, cause this song is normally f* continuous :) big band -- two guits and a key -- playing what's normally played by one guitarist... it is not bad, but it's fan's take, not a real performance... it is close though...
