#christianmccaffrey #49ers #injury After Christian McCaffery’s latest update on his injury, the severity of it could very well be the end of his career.
He played in 10/33 games across 2020 and 2021, and in the 91 games he’s been healthy he’s averaged 19.84 touches… in just 27 games as a 49er he’s seen the ball 550 times. It’s only a matter of time before his body can’t take it anymore, it’s unreal how much he’s been ran into the ground just because of his ability to catch out of the backfield at a rate unlike 99% of backs.
@@thecatwrangler9448 yea I love him as a player.. the guy is unbelievable.. but he’s not coming back this season and there’s a very real possibility he’s done for good.. might come back next season but it won’t be for long unfortunately.. this is why the RB position is the least valued sadly..
It’s not a deadly disease. He will be fine healthwise no need to pray for him. He just might not be able to play football again, but he’s already made a boatload of money so he will be good and now he might be able to enjoy it because he won’t be concussed.
Had surgery on mine. They took bone marrow from my heel, extracted stem cells, and injected them into my Achilles tendon. Took 3 months, but oh what relief!! Of course I am much older.
@eagleeye7581 American stem cell therapy is not the same as it is in Mexico, Germany etc.. Mexico & Germany are far superior & are "real stem cells" which are illegal in America.. American procedure is just your own blood being spun & extracted & put back in, nowhere close to as effective..
The 49ers didn’t send him to Germany, he went there on his own accord because he wanted to find a way to reduce his downtime, which his Dad confirmed in an interview.
I have had achillies tendontis it’s very hard to get rid of and quite painful requires stretching massage and being off your feet it can easily come back
I've had it for the past several years in both legs. I am nowhere near being a professional athlete, but it pretty much keeps me off of treadmills, and I have to take it easier when I walk, and I have always been a fast walker, and I do have to be on my feet a lot for work. The 49ers training staff didn't "send" CMC to Germany. Team management was consulted, but it was his decision to seek care from the specialist in Germany. Whatever treatment he undergoes, he'll be back on the field in time for the playoffs. Anyone who thinks this injury will force him to retire should come to Santa Clara and watch him practice. He's a conditioning freak. He'll be back.
I can tell you as a hoops player, achilles tendonitis or what I just came back from, A 19% tear of the tendon, followed by scar tissue and PT IS NO joke. The tendon heeds time to heal, increase blood flow back into the tendon, reduce inflammation and strengthen both tendons enough so you don't rupture one or both of them. Do that and you're down a year! Rushing him back in November deems highly optimistic and very risky. This isn't an injury you wrap and it's okay. There us no wrapping this tendon as it runs from your heel up the back of your leg to behind your knee. Oh, and every step you take is killer.
Their backfield is stacked so its probably a blessing in disguise if the Niners can make the playoffs with him available. Just have to wait and see but his starting full season play is likely over but theres still value there depending on the circumstances.
Tendinitis isn't a career ending condition at all. It's a case of managing it. He could easily heal, be used as an impact player in short bursts and still have a long career - it's a case of waiting to see how he heals - depending on how quick they try to get him back in the field, it could potentially lengthen his career as we all know how young a lot of players in his position retire.
