Ewers absolutely should stay in school. The money he can make with the NIL away from Texas would eclipse anything a 2nd or 3rd round QB would make. Improve your draft stock and make more money it's a no-brainer.
Right They're really mad Arch is staying so they project false narratives. A book written long ago had a passage about not coveting thy neighbor's possessions.
@@deemariedubois4916 honestly I'm old enough to remember when ESPN first came out and Mel Kiper first started coming on TV... and honestly bro he's one of those guys the minute his face comes on the screen I have to change the channel ! Honestly, he's getting paid a few million through NIL and if your draft stock dropped from a high first round to a late first round, I'd go. Going early in the draft pretty much just means you are going to a crappy team that probably has a bad o-line. I'd rather go to a better team/situation later in the first round and sit out for a year to develop and have a shot at a better career. Going early in the first round pretty much guarantees that you are going to a crappy team with a bad o-line and you are expected to start day 1. There aren't many QBs that start day 1 that end up being Super Bowl winners. Even Mahomes sat out most of his first year. Look at all of the recent early first round picks and how they are doing now. Bryce Young was put in an impossible situation to succeed and was blamed for a lot of things, even though that whole situation is a dumpster fire.
Yeah or you come back, have a bad year, and lose out on even more money.... Ewers has lost an estimated $15m already, by coming back to Texas. Ewers would 100% have been a top 10-12 pick last year. This year, he is projected late in the first round...
@JonHop1 or even worse, you suffer a horrible injury that tanks your draft stock. That's happened to a few players that returned for their senior year and they suffered a bad injury that completely tanked their draft stock. You also have a chance at Jake Locker Syndrome. You return your senior season and you and your team are horrible and another QB performs great (Andrew Luck) and you fall a several spots from the previous years projections
"Late first round" - I realize there's a fool born every minute but you'd have to be stupid to take a 5th round talent anywhere in the first 2 rounds. What a waste. Perfect QB for the Raiders I predict.
@@mynameisgladiator1933 lol you are the fool that doesn't understand how the draft works. There aren't many good/decent QBs that are entering the draft that a team can start year one and teams always reach for QBs. Look at Johnny Manzel, E. J. Manuel, Christian Ponder, Blake Bortles, Ryan Leaf, ect. If a team needs a QB and the appearance of a QB with 1 good year, a team will most likely take them in the first round. There are normally 1 or 2 really good college QBs in each draft, and once taken, the other teams that need a QB trade up and reach for a QB. It literally happens. Every. Single. Year. Ewers has been in Steve Sarkisians system for a couple of years and has a lot of experience with 33+ starts. He's been a projected first round pick for awhile. Some team will most likely pick him up in the first round or second round if he plays bad in the playoffs. The real fool is the one basing thinks on emotions rather than facts and data. Nothing supports your foolish, emotional opinion. Have a nice day. ✌️
Run the SEC… they played the weakest SEC schedule possible. They have 0 wins against any current TOP 25 teams. The only real deal SEC team they lost both times. So, good for them but idk about all this “run the SEC” nonsense.

@@undeadarmy19 So they run shit by playing bottom tier SEC teams to make it to the SEC Championship. I would respect that statement if they played Bama, Ole Miss, SC, Mizzo, Tenn, or even LSU. You're a Ohio state fan then speak on a conference you know about the SEC is the big dog and UGA runs it for now and into the foreseeable future Go Dawgs !!
As a Clemson fan/grad I’d much rather play against Quinn Ewers on Saturday than Arch Manning. Our biggest weakness on defense is the QB run and though I think Ewers is still a solid QB, Arch would be a whole lot scarier for us.

Except for GA and Texas A&M, Texas played the cupcakes in the SEC. Granted, some of those cupcakes had good games against better opponents (Vandy and Bama, or Arkansas and Tennessee). Texas didn't play Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama or even LSU. They had a creampuff schedule for someone to return to the playoffs. And yes, Evers didn't play well this year.
Funny how all of a sudden everyone believes most of the teams in the SEC suck now that Texas is beating the shit out of them. Texas EXPOSED Michigan and Oklahoma both of whom were ranked and highly thought of before Tx destroyed them. Michigan was #1 when they played and I think OK was like 9 or 15 or something like that.
@@mynameisgladiator1933 Texas rolled up Kentucky, Florida, Miss St and OU. Texas did not roll up Arkansas who they scored late to go up 20-10, Vandy they beat 27-24 and Vandy almost won that one, Texas A&M 17-7, Texas played some D in that one and then comes Georgia who they played at home and were down 23-0 at half, they did score 15 in the 3rd then Georgia went right down and scored again to make it 30-15. So beating the Sh** out of them if you are talking about 4 of them then I agree.
That's funny, a cupcake schedule in the almighty SEC, so all the shit y'all spewed for the last 15 years about the gauntlet that is the SEC was nothing but crap.

By making teams more competitive and encouraging athletes to get the most bang for their buck and insuring athletes get paid for the money they are obviously making for these schools? These school are making millions using these kids for their names and talents any other profession would compensate them for it and no a $40,000 education doesn’t compare, their 4 years is obviously worth more than a years salary. Also think of how many kids were forced to ride the bench or never got noticed because of the old ncaa rules now if you aren’t going to play you can go where you’re going to play which will only give you more opportunities, also the players that do well wherever they end up they clearly stay until they get drafted or graduate. If anything it made life better for the athletes.
There seems to be a lot of underestimating the prowesss of UGA's defense whenever Texas offense is talked about. Sometimes you just are not as god as you think.
no dog in this fight for me, but I agree.. it caused Arch to look at Ewers, after injury, fail and play over him. That has to hurt after waiting patiently for his rightful shot. I get not losing your spot due to injury.. but performing poorly after being given your spot back? That's a different story.
Sark would have to say something publicly about Arch starting. If not Sark will let Ewers play. I think the only reason Arch would stay is because of his family presuring him. None of the manning family who played football waited more than a year. Archie started his 4 years and so did Eli I believe. Peyton may have sat a year. Arch would be crazy to sit a third year.
Me when "running the SEC" is beating Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky, getting shutout of the second half against Texas A&M, and being belted by Georgia twice.
Peyton started 8 games as a freshman after the injury to Colquitt. Granted, it wasn't from the start of the season, but still had 8.. MLB Hall of Famer Todd Helton took over the starting right after Colquitt went down. Still, a fun fact that some non-Vols fans do not know. Brandon Stewart shared the workload until Peyton showed he was the guy. Stewart ended up transferring to Texas A&M and ended winning the '98 Big 12 Conf Champ. against Kansas State. That win helped put Tennessee in the Nat. Champ. game against Fl State.
I noticed that too. I had to do a sanity check and found this on utsports: Appeared in 12 games with eight starts as a true freshman. Bad example there Sark.
Mat Cassel is overrated. Belichick doesn't develop QBs. He's a defensive coach, He only has Brady. Jimmy G wasn't so great, etc. It's the QB talent that prevails. But, It's not a bad idea to learn under his coaching staff to prepare for an NFL system. I'd stay in the SEC personally.
Matt Cassel didn't start one game at USC and yet had a better NFL career than Matt Leinart, who won 2 natty's for USC. He was legit. How many QB's come out of college without starting a game and end up starting as a pro? Zero, that's the answer.
@@jimspetdragons3737 Cassel isn’t overrated! He was just a serviceable player who did well enough to play 14 years in the NFL. Keep in mind his biggest contribution to the NFL is when the Patriots traded him to Kansas City I believe they got two first round picks for which Kansas City shouldn’t have done in my opinion, but that’s just the business of the NFL.
@@jasonlejuan975 Yep. Brady's the only one who was successful outside of Bledsoe, whom he inherited. (Bledsoe was already a star by then). No other successful QBs in his career. (Cassel started 3 full seasons and half of 4 more out of his 16 total seasons. Average/serviceable (?) at best. Not exactly successful. Decent backup, I'd say. Not helping BB's resume). (BB had 17 QBs start for him in his career). Brady took years to become a great QB (he was a game manager early in his career. He didn't have to be great, just serviceable at that time). KC's Andy Reid had 4 successful QBs he coached or made better I can think of. McNabb, Vick, Alex Smith, & Mahomes, (there may be more) and they're all different types of QBs (for comparison/example). Reid's the real deal in developing QBs. Is Belichick?
@SimonRico-m8r SF uses system QBs that don't need to be that good w/ all those super heroes around him. See Jimmy G anywhere outside of SF and see what he is for real. Purdy is better than Jimmy G, but we don't know how good he is outside SF's Avengers yet. We'll likely get a glimpse next year when he loses a few of them. BB has only 1 QB outside of Brady he or his system produced that has success beyond a single season (Cassel for 1 year w/ the Pats + 2 mediocre seasons w/ KC). I think Brady was an exceptional talent rather than the coach being a gifted QB coach. There's nothing to prove otherwise at this point. But I do appreciate your opinion on the matter.
@ huh? They played 8 conference games in the regular season most of them being against bottom feeders, with the only SEC team they played that had a winning in conference record being UGA and lost, …..twice, UMass played more SEC schools with winning in conference records than Texas did
Texas played the easiest schedule in the SEC. They didn't play LSU Tennessee Ole Miss. All those teams that you mentioned that they played are the bottom of the barrel of the SEC
You forgot (like most) that Belichick also led the Patriots to the playoffs with Matt Jones as a rookie QB after Brady left the Pats. For some reason, everyone seems to forget that fact and act as if Belichick had ZERO success after Brady. Brady got to pick a solid team and bring along AB and Gronk to make a SB run, while Belichick had basically start over rebuilding the Pats.
@@cactusplant2686 - So what? Brady played horrible in the 1st round and the Pats got bounced his last year there. It was time to move on because the Pats weren't winning anymore as constituted. Brady needed to leave for himself and it worked out for him with the Bucs. They had 20 yrs together and folks got a problem with it being time for change? The Plandemic put Belichick in a bad spot and I feel that he should have stuck with Cam the next season since Mac Jones didn't really separate himself in the pre-season to make a switch at QB and Cam would have likely been much better with more time on the team. In the end, the Pats didn't just lose Brady when he left, they lost a number of pieces, so Belichick was in a totally different situation as a Head Coach, but he still made a playoff appearance and got 10 wins.

@Mikerophone Sark said Peyton and Eli didn’t start their Freshman years. Actually Peyton did and become SEC Freshman Player of The Year. Eli started his sophomore year after redshirting. Eli should’ve started at least in his redshirt freshman year, he was so much better than Miller! Yes I’m sure the “Manning Family” understands the process Sark but you should’ve started him this year.
@@Jaelations umm, pretty sure they played UGA twice, like your reply looks to be stating. I think you meant they lost to UGA twice. You replied to "Texas didn't even have to play top teams."
In the SEC championship game. Texas' O-line was trying to tackle UGA rushers. Blatant holding calls, not questionable holding calls and Sarkisian acts like they are phantom calls. I rewatched the game a third time, only looking at the line play, just to make sure.
That offensive line is very talented. From what I saw,all the holding penalties were on Texas.Georgia was holding just as much but no calls were made. How do you explain that? It's obvious to me that Texas &SMU were under the Refs one-sided calls.
I just don’t see his uncles letting his happen. They’ve protected him very well and guided him well also. It’s gonna almost have to go through him and I don’t think that’s something the family would want to do. I'm LSU but Texas always has a special place in my heart. I was a big James Street fan in my youth, 20 straight wins, conference titles and a natty. I still have the Sports Illustrated mag.
💯!! NIL and the transfer portal have destroyed the game. The players have become mercenaries with no allegiance to their schools. How are the fans supposed to have any allegiance to them?
College football is the best it's ever been. Players can finally make money off their labor and leave for better opportunities if they so choose. Evolve or die.
Quinn Ewers has literally went from the #1 overall first pick in the draft and Heisman Winner to not winning the Heisman and who knows where he’ll go in the draft and Arch Manning is still sitting the bench, something is seriously wrong with this picture!!!!
I never thought I’d say this as an Alabama fan……. But Ewers best bet might be to transfer to Bama. Alabama has their future QB coming in thru high school recruiting, but he’s not going to be ready next year. Ewers could come into Bama and have an EXTREMELY talented wide receiver room, as well as having the protection of a good offensive line. You’re not going to get that just anywhere, and if Ewers is wanting the best chance to improve Alabama is it.
I’m not for or against Texas but to say they ran the SEC is simply not contextually accurate. The luck of the draw had them play only two ranked teams in the SEC this year and shockingly they lost to both of them (actually it was Georgia twice). And they almost lost to Vandy. It would’ve been interesting to see them play Florida’s schedule this year instead. And to see how they would’ve done playing 6 top 25 teams. Really weird too how a schedule this easy and with two top of the charts QBs they only scored more than 35 points against Florida who was playing w their 3rd string walk on QB. You’d think such a stable of great QBs would be able to mop up against the worst of the SEC. Just my two cents.
ONE QUESTION... How much is Sark Paying Greg Sankey to repeat the EXACT SAME SEC SCHEDULE for Texas next year as they had this year???? How the hell do you get to play mostly the bottom teams in the SEC two years in a row unless someone is literally trying to give Texas an easy path into the SEC Championship? This is CRAZY
They are playing George who is the SEC Champ and they are the 2nd highest rated SEC team. Vandy is coming on strong and Florida, TAMU and Miss State are nothing to take lightly. BAMA is on the way to the basement. So what schedule of SEC teams do you think UT should play? Plus they are playing OSU on DAY 1!
Was it 11 or 10 wins for Matt Cassel? Back then the NFL had 16 game season. I get your point and it’s valid. Matt Cassel is to this day, I still believe the only Division I quarterback to never start a game in college and to start a game in the NFL.
Lane is safer. He will at least keep the offense and defensive lines sturdy enough for sec play. He usually can find great skill to. Plus he has family ties with ole miss with Eli
@@Brandon-h3d8h lol deep down... I just want arch to go somewhere that will treat him like he should be. He knows how to play QB he been riding the bench for not 2 but 3 straight years. It's criminal to think we may only see see manning play for 1 year thanks to sark. Smh

This situation will be interesting since there are options for both Ewers and Manning, options which did not exist even a few years ago. Ewers can probably score a significant payday if he declares for the 2025 draft. Waiting another year, particularly when there is someone waiting in the wings to take his job, is a big risk and will probably not serve Ewers well. Who knows how strong the 2026 QB draft class will be? Or when/how he will line up with the other prospects?
Sabin wasn't talking about Texas winning games in the SEC. He was speaking about Texas running roughshod in the SWC and Big 12 in an administration point of view. Such as signing their own TV deal despite being in a conference. You want confirmation on that, ask any Aggie. Thanks.
Texas created the SWC and still has naming rights for it. Almost every Big XII team turned down the change at a conference network in 2002, Eventually Texas had to pursue its own network after the Aggies turned down the chance for a Lone Star Network. Aggies will say anything to try and one up Texas on the national scene. You can never trust those overall wearing bumpkins in anything.
Texas didn’t run the Big 12. If you really want to know which school actually did run the big 12 just check out how many Big championships each Big 12 teams won.
So no Texas did not run the SEC just like SMU did not run the ACC I mean, they didn’t play Clemson until the title game. They didn’t play Miami. A lot of that stuff is done on purpose.
The Georgia game was all about George’s defense, not Texas offense. They are locked down when they need to be . That’s what will win them another national championship.
I listened to you throughout this entire process. One thing you said was about as dumb as anything I have heard. Texas has a legit shot at the National Championship. NO WAY. They are just not that team. Their biggest fear is playing Georgia a third time. LOL. Do you even do any homework? Texas beat those powerhouse teams called Colorado State, Michigan, UTSA, LA Monroe, Miss State, Vandy, Florida, Arkansas and Kentucky. Lost to a real team not once but twice. Please!!!
I don't think they can win it all either, but you just never know with the way this season has gone. My guess is their season comes to an end in the semifinal because I do think they'll beat Clemson and Arizona State.
Mikerophone should be on the CFP Committee. His ignoring strength of schedule would make him a perfect fit. Texas had the easiest schedule in the SEC. They played only one elite SEC team and lost both times they played that team.
Texas didn't run the conference. They basically eased themselves into the conference. They won put the Vols on their schedule. Alabama will tell you that playing TN is where you find out what your team is made of. TN 28 -OU 21 done!
I'm getting so sick and tired of seeing these transfer videos for Arch Manning. He is not going anywhere. He'll be playing at Texas next year. You people keep trying to stir the pot even after he said he's saying.
He will stay if he's stupid. You only have maybe 10 good years to make all your millions, and he's already wasted 1 of them with Arky coaching. How you play and WIN now determines how much you get your first years in the NFL. Arch? Your biological clock is ticking; just as Marissa Tomei.
@@wendigo374 He's missing millions of $ while Sarky plays at being a coach. You only have a 1/2 life of about 10 years to get your millions in the NFL. Texas just wants to keep him around for ratings and garner more millions of bucks for free. If Texas paid him 20 million a year, ok...
Arch will not transfer. hes a manning, they stay at their school for 4 years, they have loyalty. quinn will try to get drafted, if he doesnt then he transfers to a big 10 school for 4 million and maybe gets drafted with a better season in less competition
Texas played one ranked team and lost to them twice..I’m not saying they’re bad but no way can you say they dominated the SEC when they ducked every good team in the sec besides Georgia lol
There's nothing in this for Arch. He's got 2 years left and he's been getting comfortable where he's at for the last 2 years. Granted he should have been the starter since game 4 of this season but leaving now to go to a mid NC team makes zero sense. Plus Bellichek is gonna have serious problems recruiting in college, nobody wants to go play for a super strict head coach that's taking over a bum team. Bill will be gone in 2 years and this will hurt his legacy worse than the post Brady wra in New England did. Js
I doubt it, Nick Saban is just as strict arguably more so, and he had success too. Plus Bill has the most NFL success you could imagine, and has developed multiple hall of famers, leaving plenty of NFL connections. Players will see an opportunity to have a coach w/ connections to the next level, and any player w/ the Belichik seal of approval will pretty much get in a roster in the NFL.
@@kghostthegreat Nick Saban quit because he saw the writing on the wall; his coaching style was no longer going to be successful in recruiting and retaining top talent.

Do you mean the self-proclaimed expert Mel Kiper ? Or a different Mel Kiper ?

@@jasonlejuan975 Yep. Brady's the only one who was successful outside of Bledsoe, whom he inherited. (Bledsoe was already a star by then). No other successful QBs in his career.

How the hell do you get to play mostly the bottom teams in the SEC two years in a row unless someone is literally trying to give Texas an easy path into the SEC Championship? This is CRAZY

Ewers can probably score a significant payday if he declares for the 2025 draft. Waiting another year, particularly when there is someone waiting in the wings to take his job, is a big risk and will probably not serve Ewers well. He will stay if he's stupid. You only have maybe 10 good years to make all your millions, and he's already wasted 1 of them with Arky coaching. How you play and WIN now determines how much you get your first years in the NFL. Arch? Your biological clock is ticking; just as Marissa Tomei.
@@mutteringmale Marissa who?
@@mutteringmale dude what? He’s in a good program, it’s best for him to stay rather than transferring to several teams. He’s 19 he’ll be fine.
Let's not forget Quinn Ewers lost to Washington and Penix twice in row in the post season.
What does that have to do with now, it's painfully obvious you've never played a down of football in your life
God has and offers forgiveness
Amen 🙏
???
@@wendigo374 he does
@@BoydSimms we don’t care
@@wendigo374 you will one day I promise
Arch will not transfer. hes a manning, they stay at their school for 4 years, they have loyalty. quinn will try to get drafted, if he doesnt then he transfers to a big 10 school for 4 million and maybe gets drafted with a better season in less competition
Texas played one ranked team and lost to them twice..I’m not saying they’re bad but no way can you say they dominated the SEC when they ducked every good team in the sec besides Georgia lol
Real
As a Texas fan we played nobody the first couple of games that’s why he played good
The first 2:40 of this video was absolute bull shizz... trash.
Fr
💯
Yep all his videos are like that
This showed up in my YT feed. I've never heard of this guy.
Almost 3 minutes of self-promoting gargage at the beginning. Never, ever again!
Sark said that if Quinn stays then he would either backup Arch or he would transfer because he said "Arch is our guy moving forward"
Ewers should transfer within SEC soon we can get an Ewers v Manning championship
I don't think Gunner is going to let that happen. lolz
joke
Mike,
Only criticism i have is sometimes you circle in sentences like at the 2024 v 2025 draft.
Good video my man!
You are wrong. Bill will attract the players most serious about their football career, and just because he was strict in the NFL doesn't mean his coaching style will be the same in college. He will be a recruiting magnet.
It's probably a bad take, but I'll revisit this in 2 years
@@templarknight7 there is a difference when you have Bill who has managed to create that type of culture ON THE NFL, where that stuff doesn’t fly. It will be much easier for him in College, and his name alone will be a recruiting magnet.
Quinn Ewers is my favorite player in this draft.
Last year it was Bo Nix.
When Nick Saban speak 🗣️ you listen he already told yall Texas not running the SEC 😂😂
Excellent analysis!
I'm a UT fan. Only casuals thought Ewers was good. Most of us have known he's garbage.
I've watched him for I must be a casual. I thought he was much better than he turned out. Oh well. Can think of much worse things you could've called us!
@brucemurphy4507 being a casual watcher isn't a bad thing.
Texas had one of the easiest schedules including an AWFUL oklahoma team which is usually a tough game regardless of how good either team is. not this year.
JESUS is lord
Who me?!
I have my concerns about Bill going to UNC. I think if he hires the right coordinators everything should probably work out. But we all no how much of a transition it is from coaching in the pros vs college, and doing that for your first time in your 70s is gunna be quite the challenge.
Evers is better off going pro now. Better to go lower in the draft to a better team than to play another year at Texas and take a big risk of getting injured or going to a bad team and possibly short circuiting his career.
