Riski Shafa Bimantara Playing those sixteenth notes on the hi hat for a minute and a half at the start of the song is like pouring gasoline on your forearms and striking a match.
Fun fact: Taylor Hawkins didn’t write the drum music for that entire album. Neither did the guy before him. It was actually Dave Grohl himself who re-recorded the drum parts because he didn’t like the parts the old drummer (William Goldsmith) had written and is actually the reason why William left the band. The more you know 😂
+Jeffrey Bromfield but... he lost his focus right after that and missed a note/had a moment of indecision. I'll take a good not and no stick tricks any day
Great control. I like the fact that u dont change the drums too much for the cover and when u do it compliments the song still. and doesnt change the sound. and thanks for not being one of those great drummers who stops making videos all of a sudden. keep it up man
Casey, you probably hear this a lot, but you inspire me so much when it comes to drumming. I have been playing for eight years and I always find myself improving. I am in university pursuing my love for drumming and percussion. A lot of it because I watch drummers like you and cobus and Luke holland. I see how much effort you guys put in to this passion and it inspires me to put in as much as I can to pursue what I love, which is drumming!
hey Coop3r, just wanted to say I've been away at college, and when I'm gone these video's you post get me through the days without my kit, one day i want to be able to play like you do and have my dream be able to support my dream of drumming everlong haha, thank you for the video's you make man, they make me push myself harder everyday i drum
Awesome cover! And it's awesome of you promoting Cornel Munn, he's one of my favorite drummers, and has so much skill, even disregarding his disability; great for him to have some recognition! :D
Dude I Swear, You Are An AWESOME Drummer, This Is One of The Best Covers Ive Ever Seen You Do. I Have One Thing To Say, You're The Reason I Started Drumming!
I think it was my 3rd take of the track that when I finished I felt like "this is the one" And yes, my hands/arms/body were practically on fire from those 16ths. Definitely the craziest workout I've gotten in a cover so far straight notes wise!
Sounds like complete shit, needs a wetter sound. Great playing but the sound of that snare drum is like taking a shot of dumpster juice. A coated batter would get the same tone but more snare response.
COOP!! From my work with Wounded Warriors I've come to learn that amputees (congenital or through outside means- injury/ illness) are better addressed as "adaptive." This is seen as the highest form of praise not because the action has to be adapted for them but THEY have adapted to achieve their goals and defeat the adversity they face. So Cornel Hrisca-Munn (the drummer Casey's talking about) is an amazing Adaptive Drummer. Cheers.
"adaptive"? a person without arms is disabled, get over it. heres something else, if someone has a disability and does something amazing (like play this song) if you really want to give them the highest form of praise, dont say they're just adapting. people like that dont just have to "adapt", they have to overcome a serious DISABILITY. thats what makes certain handicapped people so courageous.
Dude i love your covers, you put so much energy and emotion into them. This cover is so good i had to watch it three time's. Great job man, keep it up.
dude, ur an amazing drummer. I been trying to play drums for 3 years now. I'm a long way from being that good. I feel like giving up but at the end, u inspire me too keep moving on. thanks man ur awesome
I get this incredible urge to applaud whenever i hear you play! It just gets to me - deep down! Never ever stop playing! And for God sake - please play some more Foo Fighters! :D
1-25 to 1:40 my favorite part of this song.this is the cover where you showed that much energy on that part i would look the same if i were to play this song on drums
Great job. LOVE the toms. I used to be a FOH engineer, and toms were the biggest pain to sound good if the heads weren't properly tuned. Nice tuning, nice high to low pitch from left to right as you played the toms, floor tom is killer.
I swear i just fell inlove..... Haha but seriously, that was just perfect. Favorite song. Favorite band. Favorite instrument. Just amazing. Keep it up, please :)
great cover as always.. I just had to say I checked out that guy you recommended and talk about inspirational.. WOW he's freaking amazing period... no matter if he has hands or not
Wow, this is literally the next song I wanted him to cover. I didn't even request it. Maybe someone else did? or maybe he just thought of it--but anyways good drumming to a good song as always. Keep up the good work!
It's that terrible black dot head. Always hated those on snares. This is exacrtly the dead sound they give. Alex Van Halen case in point. Great drummer (as is this guy) terrible snare sound. Cs black dot on snare is like nails on a chalkboard to me
Dude fuck the tuning on your kit man, this was fucking sick. I loved watching you totally vibe out and feel it. Some sick flips in there too, this was an awesome cover. You killed it. Cheers mate
this song is actually called, "the forearm burner"
why
Riski Shafa Bimantara Playing those sixteenth notes on the hi hat for a minute and a half at the start of the song is like pouring gasoline on your forearms and striking a match.
The wrist killer lol
Dont play with your arms so much and play with your wrists doing double bounces and it will be much easier
Truer words were never spoken
Fun fact: Taylor Hawkins didn’t write the drum music for that entire album. Neither did the guy before him. It was actually Dave Grohl himself who re-recorded the drum parts because he didn’t like the parts the old drummer (William Goldsmith) had written and is actually the reason why William left the band. RIP Taylor Hawkins
I thought Dave Grohl wrote the whole album himself...
@@dorlis1 Oh right, cheers for that.
Pretty sure mostly everyone knew this
Thanks, didn’t know this
I covered this song too. Isn't it nice when you get to the first chorus? Your arms are like "thank you for giving me a break!"
Justin Pitlik yeah!
Totally normal
same
I agree! The first time I tried the song out I honestly could not even get through the first parts without breaking for a sec haha.
Very true
Idk how Taylor can play this whole song live when he's played multiple songs before playing everlong.
Carl O the moellar technique
or how about simply practice lol.
Because he's a fucking good drummer !
probs just got incredible stamina from so many years of touring with the foo fighters
I swear to god. I'm going to play this at the school talent show with a couple of friends and even that will kill my forearms
Seriously a strick trick? (1:45) Pretty darn awesome, dude!
Damn right he is
OMG i never noticed that! HOLY SHIT!
+666wurm Holy shit! +++ for picking that up man. Love this song!
+Jeffrey Bromfield but... he lost his focus right after that and missed a note/had a moment of indecision. I'll take a good not and no stick tricks any day
+666wurm Saw it! :)
Props to this guy for putting in the extra motivating content at the end by introducing us to a very special and talented drummer.
More power👊🏼
Your drumming skills are beyond amazing! You make songs sound better than they orignally were. Keep up the work!
Great control. I like the fact that u dont change the drums too much for the cover and when u do it compliments the song still. and doesnt change the sound. and thanks for not being one of those great drummers who stops making videos all of a sudden. keep it up man

This guy was my friend's inspiration to start playing drums when he was 11. He's 15 now and is a pro. I love this guy.
How is he now?
hey Coop3r, just wanted to say I've been away at college, and when I'm gone these video's you post get me through the days without my kit, one day i want to be able to play like you do and have my dream be able to support my dream of drumming everlong haha, thank you for the video's you make man, they make me push myself harder everyday i drum
Just watched this again, it's awesome! Thank you so much COOP3RDRUMM3R for promoting my foo fighters drum cover video!
this guys a machin his timing is just spot on, the little set of blast beats and rolls in the bridge are 👌🏽
I really enjoy watching him play drums, energy level is amazing
This fantastic song has one of the best drum parts in a entire rock music history. . You did an insane job ! Well played.
How many takes did this take? The high-hat must be a killer when doing multiple takes i guess
no he's just amazing..... ha ha
I think it was my 3rd take of the track that when I finished I felt like "this is the one"
And yes, my hands/arms/body were practically on fire from those 16ths. Definitely the craziest workout I've gotten in a cover so far straight notes wise!
oh well your still amazing!!!! rock on :)
+COOP3RDRUMM3R Hi Casey I am currently learning this song, I got the beat and everything but I just wanting to how do ou not get tired
+Adrian Jaramillo keep doing it until you don't get tired
I've watched many of your videos. This one took it over the top for me. You are an amazing drummer dude. Keep posting!
umm that snare isnt sounding too great
that's what I thought
True. The toms sound amazing, though.
Prajwal Timsina yeah that snare, is off
Sounds like complete shit, needs a wetter sound. Great playing but the sound of that snare drum is like taking a shot of dumpster juice. A coated batter would get the same tone but more snare response.
All of his drums sound like shit. I’m absolutely puzzled at how he has all of that great equipment and still has shitty recordings
That snare and that hi hat.. just awesome!
My favorite cover of yours. This is the first song I'm learning to play on guitar and your drums on it are incredible.
I've been playing drums all my life and I don't have the chops like you I bow down and say thanks for the share keep it up bud you rock.
You can not believe how long I've been waiting for you to play this! You are I'm inspiration to play drums!
COOP!! From my work with Wounded Warriors I've come to learn that amputees (congenital or through outside means- injury/ illness) are better addressed as "adaptive." get the fuck out of here with that political correctness shit

This is a really chill cover. So relaxing and nice.
Awesome job, man.
You did it, you final did it!!!! Yes! And got to say you did it flawlessly. Great cover man.
the poor snare was abused
Homie got that snare drum mic'd up Hella good
Forget about those people who say "iv'e done a 10k run" ............ THIS is by far more better !!!!

Loving the snare drum
Prob the best cover on drums for this song I’ve ever seen! Good job bro
You played this very well, i wish I could play as well as you. This is a pretty badass cover man
Wow! going to watch all your videos. The audio is great.
For some reason i've been finding it hard lately to find songs to jam to, so watching your vids is a good source of good music to download
Those 16ths must have been a lot of work! Good job!
It's relentless. Just playing it on a game like Rock Band is hard... doing the real thing is so impressive to me.
Favorite song of all time to play on Rockband! Nice job!
dude, ur an amazing drummer. I been trying to play drums for 3 years now. I'm a long way from being that good. I feel like giving up but at the end, u inspire me too keep moving on. thanks man ur awesome

Killed it!!!
Outstanding style!
Great job. LOVE the toms. I used to be a FOH engineer, and toms were the biggest pain to sound good if the heads weren't properly tuned. Nice tuning, nice high to low pitch from left to right as you played the toms, floor tom is killer.
This was one of my favourite song to play along to play along too before I had to ditch my kit. More like songs like this please :)

Wow, this is literally the next song I wanted him to cover. I didn't even request it. Maybe someone else did? or maybe he just thought of it--but anyways good drumming to a good song as always. Keep up the good work!
a cooperdrummer cover where he doesnt add tons of fills and showy drum tricks into the song?? i never thought id see the day😂😂
Man! Your Sir are thee Bomb!! Thanks for sharing your amazing talents & Merry Xmas
This song is yet another testament to Dave Grohls musical genius. Nice cover.
Great cover man! Nice shout out to Cornel Munn too. Hugely inspirational player.
Thanks for playing my favorite song by my favorite band. :D
either your snare rimshot is too loud or the snare is out of tune. doesn't sound right
i was thinking it too
It's probably because of the clear head
+Anthony Franco Actually, clear heads don't always change the sound. I think the snares might have been a bit to tight or loose.
It's that terrible black dot head. Always hated those on snares. This is exacrtly the dead sound they give. Alex Van Halen case in point. Great drummer (as is this guy) terrible snare sound. Cs black dot on snare is like nails on a chalkboard to me
if u listen to the so called g it has the same sound
Mate u deffinatly deseve a medal with how well u play.
Lots of energy mate! Thats why you sound that cool.
Dude fuck the tuning on your kit man, this was fucking sick. I loved watching you totally vibe out and feel it. Some sick flips in there too, this was an awesome cover. You killed it. Cheers mate
It's not a coincidence that right when i start listening to this song again and try to cover it, he actually makes a great cover lol
WOW this is sick!
I got literal chills from this, thank you
God,
Thank you for creating drummers.
-Jade Sao
Awesome! Love the commentary at the end. Thanks for doing that!
Awesome playing and also THANK YOU for introducing me to Cornell Munn...
you are amazing when you are by the drums man keep playing
dude ur the best drummer in the world
I swear i can play this song on anything but an actual drum set. I've almost got in accidents shredding this song on my steering wheel
Awesome cover! This is a very hard song to get down well especially with the almost constant 16ths all around! Well done!
I’m 41 just bought my first drum pad. Goals❤ you’re awesome
I’m going to play this song one day
hey just letting you know that cornel also has a prosthetic right leg which is why his left foot is on the bass drum instead of his right
Interesting snare sound, but that was insane dude, inspirational
I love the high sticking it looks like your having fun!!
This is good! Much better than the Smells Like Teen Spirit cover. You improved a lot in the course of a year.
You know, I never understood how to play the pre-chorus of this song until I saw this video. Thanks :D
Great group great song great drumer
it didn't even start when i liked this vide you are a great drumer and this is my favorite song by foo fighters!!!!
Woah that snare drum sound is so intense, so tight but punchy and fat as well, really well tuned and controlled nice
Really? I think it sounds like shit :D But maybe after time your opinion changed
