Hi, thanks for your tutorial it helped a lot ! Mic was strange at the begining but after few minues ( chen it really matters ) it's perfect :).
Just some information for complete :
- with the latest version, when you boot in TWRP recovery you don't need to use the volumes buttons etc... you are directly switched in TWRP menu ( some steps skipped from your tutorial ).
- when you update the phone, the root is disabled, just reboot in twrp mode and install again SuperSU.

question 2- at what point sould i restore after unlocking or installing supersu
will i be able to installl OTA updates if i have twrp flashed? or i have to reflash the stock recovery after finishing root process in-order to install OTA
Also if I backup my data with the toolkit and then unlock the bootloader should I then restore that data? At what point should it be restored...after unlocking, after flashing TWRP?

hi. im using toolkit 3.7 after unlocking booting to twrp try to install SuperSU.zip but cant just "installation failed" any possible issue ? any idea how to fix it? thanks
I've gone through this guide three times now and I can't get passed the push SuperSU step -.-
I have v3.6 of the ToolKit so there are some slight changes, pushing the .zip to the phone does nothing. I have no folders or files in the /sdcard folder when viewing it through TWRP.
I'd love to root my OnePlus 3 so if anybody can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated!

Just a quick tip: Always wipe cache/dalvik to ensure proper root and performance after flashing
i tried to install twrp it went good later after installing cm14 i was unable to boot into twrp its getting stucked in one plus logo so then i tried to install cyanogen recovery its working but later i tried installing twrp its getiing stucked at logo coul u help me

all the driver has been installed properly and no error.
A very useful vedio but getting a problem that when my op3 is on then the desktop recognises it but as soon as I press check status of boot loader it switch off and enter into bootloader and the device is now not recognised and the command prompt shows waiting for device. I installed drivers properly and also factory reset my device and laptop both but the problem still exists .. please help

Will that one screen at initial bootup always remain (the one where you can press volume buttons for more options or the phone will just boot on its own within 5 secs? WIll this screen always be there when booting?
yes, but you can skip it by pressing the power buton
device not recognized, even though drivers are installed and im already using if for file transfer.

hey, what can i do if the screen is not on and i cant see anything but evrything works, and sometimes the screen comes back on
whenever i tried to install any custom rom on one plus 3t ,,,after installation screen goes it shows touches automatically an phone is unable to be used on custom rom, i tried without flashing gapps, i am following almost every step but all in vain, previously i was using nexus 5 and there was no issue to flash any rom, but on this device i am desperate to use any custom rom. Help please.

totiglobule : It will wipe the phone, thats the only thing to note, you can do it anytime you want, after or before.

sir...after installing the SuperSU zip...it does not BOOT at all! stuck in a boot loop! what do I do?? Plz help me! TWRP works fine...only way to get it to boot is FACTORY RESET. but I want ROOT and everytime I flash the SUPERSU zip it just gets stuck in BOOTLOOP.

Restarting the computer worked for me
After I flash TWRP recovery through the above method, it takes me into recovery but I am presented a screen prompting me to enter password with the headline 'Mount Decrypt Data'. What password should I be using here? if I say cancel then it takes me to unmodified system partition screen where i have Keep read only or select language or swipe to allow modifications. what should I do?
When I finish flashing TWRP and try to boot it, it will give me an error that says "too many links". What can I do to fix this.

Unfortunately, no matter how many times i installed the drivers and enabling OEM unlock, USB debugging etc, I am still stuck as my PC does not recognize my phone even when it's in bootloader.

You need to unlock bootloader and flash via TWRP.
