Interesting hearing the brake story. Nice seeing George improving. I'll have to be careful when I work on the throttle housing and throttle position sensor after seeing this.
the screws can be weak on some cars, mine were absolutely fine!
What a series so far! And I thought my struggles was bad... :D
Struggles galore and is fairly common with most MK1's I've worked on (not just nics cars) at this age and time.

I have a water boot leak which I think is coming in from behind the rear off side break light cluster. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
Yep you need to replace the seal which can degrade
Hi,
I hear a TRRRR noise from the engine when I am at half gas and under load. I feels like knocking sound.
Did you have ever this problem?
I put some octane booster but no luck. I also put some motorcraft plugs but the same thing happens.
Full serviced with belts, injector cleaned etc but no new HT leads and coilpack.
What else should I check?
Have you checked the pulleys for wear? If they are faulty it can result in sounds when under load.
@@vevos_it’s a brand new continental set. It sounds like detonation sound 😢
@@TheTaverniaris You probably have to continue checking stuff. Continue where you left. Trouble shoot the rest of the ignition system. Check the fuel system. Bad fuel supply? Bad fuel quality? Maybe you got unlucky and got some low quality fuel (if that is a thing where you live). It's not easy for me to say much more... I think you just have to continue trouble shooting... unless someone more experienced than me knows the issue.
@@vevos_at first, thank you for your help.
I put some octane booster and I think that it is a liiiittle better right now. I found that the coil pack comes from a KA (part number: A988F12029AD).
Can a Visteon coil pack from a KA create a problem?
At next step I would like to buy a OBD2 reader.
@@TheTaverniaris UA-cam is deleting my comment when I include the part number... but the answer is yes, you need to replace it with a Bosch one.
