Hey - Awesome awesome sculpt; absolutely loved the process you used and I've learnt a bunch watching a few times. Got a quick question if you'll indulge me - when you were extruding the inside of the ear, how did you create the mask that protected the outside of the ear? I've been trying to figure it out but I'm getting nowhere haha. (I'm pretty new to zbrush, so most of what you did there was like black magic to me.) The part I'm referring to is at around 5:20. Thanks in advance! And thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comment! It helps a lot for me to get a solid landmarks to connect the tissue and muscles to. In that stage it's easy for me to flesh out a solid skull and correct larger mistakes. If I keep it too vage then it's harder to see and it only takes just a few minutes. I also wasn't quite sure in which direction this sculpt would go so that came into play as well

Where did you study that sculpting technique or you made it up by yourself? (I see a lot of sculptors workflow and each of them do some particular parts very differently) Does it come with expirience>? (sorry for my bad english if it happens to be bad:D)

      I have the same question

I drew from quite a lot of different artists over time. I saw a breakdown of a sculpt that went from a skull to a character and that was intriguing to me so I tried it out
I like to approach sculpting like drawing as well in certain situations when I construct forms; for example the nose where I start with the primitive shapes and then work my way up
Learning how to draw helps a lot with sculpting!
