Thank you ma🤩 I found u by chance and been following you and liking every video. When I was just in std9 my mum was diagnosed with cancer, a battle she then fought for 12years. As to be expected I missed out on these loving motherly lessons. You really touched my heart ma. I can't help but notice the small amount of dislikes, they fans anyway for watching you. Wishing you best of luck with your channel 😀😊😘and long, healthy, happy life. Once again thank you very very much. You have made a difference to all the boys and girls who never had the opportunity or the means to learn when they were younger. Its never to late to try it now. I'm 49yrs old and this will.be the first time ever that I will attempt dal roti. Love you 😍💗

Namaste ..Wow .. you make your roti and dhal just like my late mom.. your hands remind me of her .. hard working and committed to make the best food. Nothing beats the old recipe thanks for sharing , you awoken my memories . Sure enough ur legacy will go on ... Pls share poli recipe.. shop bought dough is repulsive .. ..
I got that question a couple times. As the container is open while the other rotis are being made, much of the moisture escapes in the time it takes to finish. The rotis do get a little soft with some of the residual moisture but not soggy. One possible work around if you feel the rotis are too soft is to perhaps use a new dishcloth instead of the wax wrap - however the last (well the first made but last in the stack) roti will stick to the dishcloth.
Ma explain to Pranesh that we know recycling from them days.......old ice cream containers will always have yellow dhall and bread packets will have dhania.....only we Mums know what treasures lie inside...........lol.
It would have been nice to show how she cooked the dhal, and did she grind it? That was missing. I Don,t know really, how she did the dhal So sorry that it was missing
Hi Joan. We redid this recipe on the 1 year anniversary of the channel. It shows how the dhal was boiled and ground. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/Xjwpbpai2EQ/v-deo.html

Yummy 😍
Nice. In India we also make a sweet version with the gram dhal, jaggery called Poli. It is simply delicious.
Sounds great. We have a version of Poli as well, we fill it with coconut, sugar and sesame seeds. The dough is a bit more crispy than the roti though.
Love ur channel...reminds me of all the amazing things my Mum used to make 💖
Thank you so much 🙏🏼

Thank you for the kind words. We shall try to get a poli recipe up!
Very nice.. But i like to know when roti is cooked.. And u place in container .. With lunch wrap wont roti get soggy.

Indian moms always recycle plastic containers!! Will give this recipe a try. Thanks for sharing !
Thank you so much 😊 Yes we have too many of these and pranesh complains he doesn't know what is in all of them some times!
👌🏾👌🏾
Ma explain to Pranesh that we know recycling from them days.......old ice cream containers will always have yellow dhall and bread packets will have dhania.....only we Mums know what treasures lie inside...........lol.
Reuse has been our thing! He complains that there are 7 margarine tubs and only one has margarine. Its like playing money or the box....

Best food in the world comes from Durban my hometown
Yes have to agree with that one!
Hi mosie how or you to day I hope you and family or good
You should use butter or ghee, Not Flora/Rama !!!
We use the margarine as a cost saver.
@@GaithreeDeviLuckan I understand but you shoud'nt as it is dreadfull stuff thats very bad for you !!! Butter or Ghee please.
Buy ma one tupperware for her masala 😅
Hahaha you know how we Indian aunties are. Too scared to buy tupperware in case someone steals it...

Nothing came out while rolling the roti, I can't do this, I can eat it,
