I don't think I've ever had sleep paralysis, but I think one time I "saw" my seasonal depression in the form of 3 whipsy-shadow things, I named them the depressionbeasts. :)
Oh my gosh! Just this week I told my friend about a sleep paralysis event that happened to me years ago. It was almost exactly as you described, Aster. I was also sleeping with my chest down on the bed. I felt something in the room. I tried to lift my arm to wake up my boyfriend - I could not move, my arm felt like lead. I tried to call his name. No words came out. I managed to turn my head just a little and saw a shadowy figure standing at the foot of the bed. AND the next morning I told my boyfriend and he said it also happened to him that night! It was a very powerful experience.
Had sleep paralysis for years, I am seeking to astral project if this is possible from sleep paralysis. I heard many claims that people astral project through this.
My theory is that some other spirit comes over to take a look at our bodies while our own spirit is out and about elsewhere. I believe that our souls do astral travel while we sleep.
@@asterperpetua Hmm interesting, if this is the case then spirits are of human origin. Other entities could be other humanoid beings from other planets that have either died or astral project. I thought about this with The Roman Catholics, they are said to deal with Magic, Demons supposedly speak Latin, all they need is someone that master astral projection go into homes and cause a scene in order for people to convert to Catholicism, its the same for Islam. The Movie Insidious is about this. Maybe the shadow beings are like guardians to anyone trying to astral project.
