I’m Afro Brazilian born in the US and I can’t tell you how much I thank you for giving this information in English on UA-cam. My Portuguese is good but I’m not 100% and this is just gold to me. I love Afrobrazilian spirituality and want to learn and do more. Obrigada linda! Axe🙏

Just clarifying, when she said "take your head" it doesn't mean the spirits will take your literal head, it means they'll take care of your head.
In afrobrazilian religions, the head, or the orí, is a very important part of spiritual life and philosophical wellbeing, so much of the spiritual family, including orisha, are understood to dwell or take care of your head.

    THANK YOU!
I understand that Umbanda / Kimbanda is a sacred practice and should be treated as such.
But I often find many so tight lip about teaching or talking about any Pomba Gira. Even the basic understandings, like you have shared in this video.
Kudos for you and thanks for your translations 💃🏾💃🏾

Thank you for these videos. I really appreciate the info. I don't have Brazilian ancestry and I was born with 2 Pombagiras. I got 2 tattoos of her before I even knew who she was or even existed. I would love to get another reading from an elder in Quimbanda/Umbanda. I should also say I am an Espiritista of Cuban parĺance and a priest of Quimbisa, an Afro Cuban tradition

I have natally star Spica in same position as on Brazilian flag, viz just above the equator, all the rest are below the horizon. Spica is very well regarded.

I just looked into Pombagira in more depth recently and I feel Im being pulled to them for this point in my journey I have always been drawn to Brazilian culture there could be some connection ancestrally but I am open to the possibility of it not being so I am a daughter of Yemaya and if I do have a Pombagira I wouldn’t be surprised if it is Pombagira da Praia because of the connection to the ocean. I appreciate this video and love honor and respect to Pombagira ❤🌹🙏🏾

Pobmagira & Exu aren't local names for soul groups that exist all over the world
    in every culture?
Are they like Thai fruits that only grow in Thailand?

@@kukumuniu5658 the Exus are a group of spirits, and any kind of ancestors will attach to one with time (the upper spirits like Exu maioral are apart since they re present pure energy).
So your ancestors can attach to a group of Exu and pomba Gira and this lineage will be connected with you throughout your live. You in return will attach to a group of spirits once you died.
You doesn't need to have roots in Brazil to work with the Exus, since Brazilian traditions are heavenly influenced by European and African magic and we are all connected by this bound.
In traditions from other countries, the Exus have other names and representations but the principle stays the same.
Work with them if you feel called by them.
It is all about ancestors work in the end and intuition is key here.

She is an ancestor of yours.
Normally it is an ancestor who has a story that connects with the MARY PADILHA PANTHEATION, so she receives permission in the spiritual world to be part of the MARY PADILHA TEAM. In your country, she may have another name, but she is an ancestor of yours... you can connect with her, with these teachings that the video shows.

Beef and artisanal sausages, for example. I would recommend you look into Brazilian recipes, bc that hits a special spot for those spirits. Imagine you are a spirit and some person takes the time and effort to cook something your mom used to make when you were alive as an offering to you. That's very special.
