My mother and I were talking about the cranes in my yard. My mother born in 1938 and I born in 1960 both agreed that we never saw this type of crane in Florida until the 1990s.
I had to do a double take when I saw your reflection. I thought your eyeglasses case was a little kitten in like a little baby harness! We see what we want to see I suppose! 😅
I love this video. The man is so sweet and kind. I have them come to my house for food. They stand in the yard and yell till l come out with something to feed them.
I like the Sandhill cranes. Flocks of them migrate over my area, spring and summer. I had a house wren that fought his reflection in my truck's outside mirror for two years. Very entertaining!
Yes, yes, yes Freddie, I was hoping you would post this. You community with so many others people woven through and including natural habitat is just amazing. I was so glad to see it for myself when I was there and share it in my, our, your video. My visit there was my first viewing of a sandhill crane I said nothing at the time because you eclipsed them a hard thing to do they are incredible creatures. I believe they have also been important as foster parents in saving the whooping crane. Thanks for the close up look of your inclusive community.
Hey Freddie, I love the wildlife in Florida. I go to Anna Maria Island every other year. My wife and I had plans to go in June but were changing the rental to September 19th to 29th. Due to the virus we changed plans, hopefully things will be better in September and I can stop by and see you. Eddie.
I think that bird actually understood every word he said to it.... * good thing those Cranes don't get 10 feet tall cause they would eat a small person....
I don't have a collection of the foods they eat. Seeds, plant tubers, grains, berries, insects, earthworms, mice, snakes, lizards, frogs and crayfish. However they are very adept at digging hole in the back yard to feed themselves, and I wouldn't want them to become dependent on me bringing food. Cheers...Freddie
Don Baird, they have not been fed by anyone in this household, in this case you are wrong. The male crane was protecting his family from the image he was seeing in the window which he was sure meant him harm, especially when it spread it's wings and was appearing aggressive.
Don Baird your comment just goes to show you that you know nothing about these birds. Have you not been paying attention what the homeowner was saying when he was speaking to him?
We live in Florida too, but me and my husband never seen those around whether in Orlando, Tampa or Miami residential areas. I'm glad he didn't hurt you.
I have a mated pair that comes around regularly in late summer. I'm in south Orlando, between Florida Mall and Millennia Mall. I have several videos of their visits - they have a grudge against my cats and I've gotten some funny videos of birds vs cats.
IT IS NOT A CRANE, IT IS A HERON. It will eat anything it can fit in to tits gullet. eg, small dog, cat, ducks, large fish up to the size of wild salmon... They can eat loads in a day.
I’ll bet that one of those cranes could inflict some serious damage on the human anatomy if they decided to start pecking and flogging lol Luckily it doesn’t appear that they are aggressive towards humans though.
Ahwww how cute are the little ones with mama and papa confronting anything perceived as a threat!
I love how this man speaks to the crane so gently. So sweet.
And the the bird replies to him with that chirp.
Wonderful video!
Love how you reminded him he's seen his reflection before! 😄
He doesn't seen to like (your dog?) very much at the end.
That is a great video, love the birds. Still better than a Gator coming up to the glass door.🐸
How lucky you are having these on your doorstep, probably not at 5 in the morning though. They make our Herons look tiny. Thanks for sharing Freddie.
Very nice video. I’m a fan of the crane and you as well.

Jordan Peterson talks down bird
Very heart renderin'. Jus' sayin' . . . ❤
Reflections are man made and confuses wildlife. Yes the water reflects but with ripples and birds dont attack water.
the crane stopper time!
Very cool, Wayne
the crane stopper time!
You? What are you doing here?
We love this clip, how nicely you talk to them and say it's your reflection and nothing to be excited about, your not old folk Freddie .
Proud Papa came to show you his young babies. Aww!
This guy has a good voice for reading children stories to kids
Look at the little babies 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Could of sworn it was asking if your factory warranty on your car has expired and wants to know if you want to extend it
Great piece Freddie - he was a noisy little blighter wasn't he! Great to see such interesting wildlife in your garden. Cheers from England - Sarah x
We've got 6 that visit us. You can't feed them, etc...under federal law. Beautiful but loud af!!
My toddler and I had to square up with one of these guys this afternoon. Watch your back lol 😂
LOL I love how you just open the door.
Right!! I totally would not have lol!!
ALTERNATE TITLE: "Florida crane visits someone's yard"
That thing almost sounds like a raptor.
Or does a raptor sound like a crane? (Because the “raptor” sound was most likely modeled from it)
It’s a dinosaur after all. Birds are dinosaurs.
I like the Sandhill cranes.
Flocks of them migrate over my area, spring and summer.
I had a house wren that fought his reflection in my truck's outside mirror for two years. Very entertaining!
They're telling you to go out there with.
But thank you so much for this awesome video. So beautifully captured!
Beautiful birds, your lucky to have them around your place. Thanks for sharing and caring for them. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Think the crane wants the flamingo 😂

I Just Saw Two Sandhill Cranes At My House Earlier. I Just Look At Them. I Don't Feed Them.

That was so sweet! Thank you for sharing. Also, I miss your ceramic videos.
Thanks Gabriella, planning to do some in time.......
Or maybe it was the flamingo inside on the right there.
crane: "come outside chicken crane"
I think that bird actually understood every word he said to it.... * good thing those Cranes don't get 10 feet tall cause they would eat a small person....
They don't English but I appreciate u being kind to them. But ugh.
I had like 5 of them that were super friendly and would gather by back door, then my car. They love mirrors
I love how his stareing menacingly inside

That Dinosaur sound it makes is so cool!
They have destroyed every window screen in my home including screened in porch multiple times. The are also called ribeye of the sky.
Beautiful
SO CUTE LUCky you from Argentina here no hay nada
Probably they have found your place interesting and asked your permission for them to visit.
Ah-MAZZZZ-ing!!!!!
Omg the babies are so cuteee
The PeaCocks would beat themselves into a coma on my windows and doors I had to put anti reflective tint on all the ones they could see
I SMELL CEREAL!
that sandhill crane is seeing his reflection in the glass
THEY HAVE CHICKS!!!
Why don't you just feed them!!!!

Awwww... so cute.
A crane tore up my window screen because I ran out of peanuts one day. They can get mean.
yeah cause ur not supposed to feed them
This is what happens when you feed these.

You must never go outside
I see them more in Orlando than anywhere
Ribeye on the wing! Can't wait to try one.
Rib eye of the sky
Он не атакует, он попросил не пугать его жену с детками пока они пасутся на лужайке.
Luckily I didn't scare him and they went on peacefully to enjoy the day. We think this was the day the eggs hatched and the colts entered the world.
К счастью, я не напугал его, и они спокойно пошли дальшеМы думаем, что это был день, когда яйца вылупились и жеребята появились на свет.

Most definitely a Sand Hill Crane. Looks nothing like a Heron
