No BS plot or made up card effects, Kaiba ain't losing to Yugi. Plus the dude is in better shape than most characters here 😂 he's way stronger than the Hair guy from the island who owned Tristan and stopped a gun a point blank too. Yugi ain't stopping no guns or even throwing grown muscle dudes like Kaiba

The reason blue eyes ultimate dragon was able to go toe to toe with sort is because of kaiba himself. What powered the dragon was the will and life force of Kaiba. There was nobody in the show more motivated than him and the only reason he kept losing to atem was because atem kept cheating while kaiba played with pure skill. Also, kaiba was angry so that just augmented his already formidable will
I mean Kaiba did play dirty himself when he threatened to jump off a building so let’s not say Kaiba played perfectly skill with and honour. Like he’s one of the most formidable duelists but still he did resort to dirty tactics at times.

I think a lot of people miss the real impact of this scene. Yes it is badass that Kaiba is standing up to a egyptian diety without even knowing his duel disk would even materialize but focus on his words. He says he won't allow zorc to play with human beings like they are in a game; if this was very early DM Kaiba wouldn't have an issue with this. This shows his character growth coming full circle.

Meaning if Exodia was paired to say, Yugi, it woulda been a different story. -Exodia is Egypts Greatest Protector; so strong he had to be cut into 5 pieces and sealed away because he could not be stopped even by Egyptian gods -Blue Eyes has the power to rival and Egyptian god, let alone the Ultimate Dragon -Ra is the strongest Egyptian god; the sun god. -Obelisk is the soldier of heaven, the war god basically (what he’s called sometimes in the sub) -Slifer (Osiris) is the sky dragon beast and king of the skys

Has to do with user. Exodia was doing damage until Shimon ran out of life force to give. Blue eyes ultimate didn't have that limitation due to a different summoning style.
if exoida would be summoned by yugi/atem or by kaiba, zorc would be dead you can clearly tell even with shimon as user, exodia was in the beginning at least equal with zorc but since shimon is a weak ass old man, exodia couldnt win, with seto or atem as spirit, exodia would have won no doubt about

Zorc got way stronger after defeating ultimate dragon. And Exodia was limited by the old man's willpower, my theory is that if Exodia was summoned straight away, even with the old man being in control, Zorc would've been defeated. Instead he kept gaining massive power until the creator of light had to come along.
Zorc is the ultimate darkness. So even someone with a stronger will than the the old man still would have succumbed to Zorc. Only a light monster can threaten Zorc.
I know it's an anime cliche and all, but I fucking love the trope of everyone in the series, even the rival, all working together to try and take down the final boss. Vegeta being the distraction needed to help Gohan kill Perfect Cell, the remaining Briggs Soldiers, and Ed's remaining allies all fighting against Father, and in this case, the ancient priests, Yugi, The Pharaoh, and even the guy who doesn't believe in any of this shit, Seto goddamned Kaiba, doing their best to stop Zorc. Love it, every time.
You kids have it great now a days, When an anime hits Japan it normally takes a few hours before it's completely translated and released in the west. WE had to wait days and still, our translations looked like that...

The Dub makes it seem like he was in denial and just wanted to follow Yugi there. He then offered Yugi a bunch of Rare Cards to Duel himself by his own logic.

It shows he cares for people other than him and mokuba. He literaly cant take it and fights a giant death bringing Monster to Put an end to the killing. He can be an a&&hole, but he has a heart after all.
The Japanese version makes kaiba a bit nicer it feels and I like that. Kaibas attitude especially towards joey was always a bit infuriating in the English version.
He yells, "but that's not all! Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Evolve further, and ascend to the strength of the Gods! Go forth, Blue Eyes Shining Dragon!" Then Zorc thinks he's done, before Kaiba then reveals he also invented this cool new summoning method called synchro summoning, and after approximately 3 hours he's got enough dragons on the field and in the graveyard that Blue Eyes Shining dragon has more ATK than any monster should ever reasonably possess. And for good measure he reveals he managed to smuggle the Fang of Critias in from the Orichalcos Arc, and somehow still had the cards on hand to produce Mirror Force Dragon.
To explain how he even pulls this off, I will first note that Atem is likely helping his draws based on the turn 1 3 blue eyes play, so clearly he has all the draw cards he needs. I'd imagine his remaining cards in hand are pots of greed, which he draws into until he gets graceful charity, which he uses to discard several cards with various graveyard effects to, which allows him to slowly build up more on field presence until he can start synchro summoning. He also draws into Chaos Max Dragon and the ritual spell for it. Eventually he runs down to one last card, Card of Demise, and then continues to pop off until playing a second Card of Demise, and then a third, at which point his hand is bare, he has out a plethora of Blue Eyes monsters, and he has enough dragons in the graveyard that Shining Dragon is excessively ready, before then revealing "but I'm not attacking with Shining Dragon, not yet. First, I activate" he reveals his last spell card "Fang of Critias! This card can fuse with one trap card on my field, and I choose this trap I've borrowed from Yugi's deck, Holy Barrier: Mirror Force!" Mirror Force is revealed, having just been set. "Now, come forth, Mirror Force Dragon, and attack!" Which it does, and the result depends on if Zorc is immune to Mirror Force. If not, damage reflects, Mirror Force dragon's effect activates, destroying all monsters and spells relating to Zorc. If not, then it just goes to the graveyard to buff Shining Dragon even more, and then Shining Dragon attacks.
As for why he would have all these options in his deck, the answer is quite simple: he manifested his deck from thin air, of course he has every option in the thing, he just needs the right draw order.
Considering how battle conditions and attack points do not matter in the Millennium World/The Past, 1 Blue eyes has the power of Obelisk. Ultimate Dragon should be on a higher divine level than even that of Ra considering three are needed to summon it.

I'm wondering, why did Bakura give Kaiba the millennium eye and enabled him to come to the memory world anyway in the anime? There was no need for Bakura to do that (he already had the energy of BEWD absorbed) and in the end it helped Atem to gain enough time for his friends to arrive. Maybe someone of you knows a reason.
Well the given reason was that because he never got the Pharaohs true name couldn't he just summon Zork fully so he tricked Kaiba into coming to use his life energy to complete the summoning of Zork. It doesn't make a ton of sense BUT it does get around one of the manga's biggest issues were we just jump cut from them facing Zorc in the Temple below Kul-el-na with Aknadin having all Millennium Items to the final battle before the gates of the City with the Pharaoh and remaining priest having there Millennium Items again. As this way we now have a bit of time between Zork appearance in the Tempel and the final fight before the City during which the anime explained how we get from point A to B.
Imagine if Kisara and Priest Seto got to see this, Blue Eyes white Dragon returning with two more in tow and then combine to form Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
kyuuibi rasagen there were never four. There were 4 cards of him. In Ancient Egypt there was only one. In the world of memories there are 3 because Kaiba has the cards and the life energy to summon them through Kisara, Priest Seto and himself. That’s how I interpret it based on the fact that even Priest Seto couldn’t summon more than one dragon. Also the damage that the Ultimate Dragon did wasn’t as big as the damage done by ancient Blue-Eyes. So the card versions must be weaker.
@@thecaptainseye Zorc never managed to beat Ultimate Dragon though. They were equal the whole time. Ultimate Dragon's blast was more powerful than Blue-Eyes, Zorc was just invincible save for an attack from Horakhty.
Perhaps there were 4 different bearers of the other 3 Blue-Eyes, and aside from Kisara, they're from other places of the world, and thus, are not part of the main characters's memories from the past.
His Ego once again defied logic by manifested Duel Disk after that summon Blue Eyes using that Duel Disk THEN Fusion Summon Ultimate Dragon with 2 More Blue Eyes using Kisara and Priest Seto Soul as Medium before Blasted Zorc a few miles away

Dragon Master Knight did little damage to zorc Zorc had his arm blocking the blast but it did some damage to him though if Yami Yugi was able to Dragon Master Knight special ability it wood have gain the attack power of all dragon type monsters that were defeated including Slifer the Sky Dragon and the winged dragon of ra then Dragon Master Knight would have destroyed zorc
Because Zorc got near unlimited extra power from the Darkness itself. Only the creator of Light could ever defeat him for good even if other high god level powered being of the Light and divine attribute were able to push him back temporarily.

Then Zorc thinks he's done, before Kaiba then reveals he also invented this cool new summoning method called synchro summoning, and after approximately 3 hours he's got enough dragons on the field and in the graveyard that Blue Eyes Shining dragon has more ATK than any monster should ever reasonably possess. And for good measure he reveals he managed to smuggle the Fang of Critias in from the Orichalcos Arc, and somehow still had the cards on hand to produce Mirror Force Dragon.
To explain how he even pulls this off, I will first note that Atem is likely helping his draws based on the turn 1 3 blue eyes play, so clearly he has all the draw cards he needs. I'd imagine his remaining cards in hand are pots of greed, which he draws into until he gets graceful charity, which he uses to discard several cards with various graveyard effects to, which allows him to slowly build up more on field presence until he can start synchro summoning. He also draws into Chaos Max Dragon and the ritual spell for it. Eventually he runs down to one last card, Card of Demise, and then continues to pop off until playing a second Card of Demise, and then a third, at which point his hand is bare, he has out a plethora of Blue Eyes monsters, and he has enough dragons in the graveyard that Shining Dragon is excessively ready, before then revealing "but I'm not attacking with Shining Dragon, not yet. First, I activate" he reveals his last spell card "Fang of Critias! This card can fuse with one trap card on my field, and I choose this trap I've borrowed from Yugi's deck, Holy Barrier: Mirror Force!" Mirror Force is revealed, having just been set. "Now, come forth, Mirror Force Dragon, and attack!" Which it does, and the result depends on if Zorc is immune to Mirror Force. If not, damage reflects, Mirror Force dragon's effect activates, destroying all monsters and spells relating to Zorc. If not, then it just goes to the graveyard to buff Shining Dragon even more, and then Shining Dragon attacks.
As for why he would have all these options in his deck, the answer is quite simple: he manifested his deck from thin air, of course he has every option in the thing, he just needs the right draw order.

Considering how battle conditions and attack points do not matter in the Millennium World/The Past, 1 Blue eyes has the power of Obelisk.
Ultimate Dragon should be on a higher divine level than even that of Ra considering three are needed to summon it.
I guess if there's some pyramid hierachy it would be like. Give or take imo.

I'm wondering, why did Bakura give Kaiba the millennium eye and enabled him to come to the memory world anyway in the anime? There was no need for Bakura to do that (he already had the energy of BEWD absorbed) and in the end it helped Atem to gain enough time for his friends to arrive. Maybe someone of you knows a reason.
Well the given reason was that because he never got the Pharaohs true name couldn't he just summon Zork fully so he tricked Kaiba into coming to use his life energy to complete the summoning of Zork. It doesn't make a ton of sense BUT it does get around one of the manga's biggest issues were we just jump cut from them facing Zorc in the Temple below Kul-el-na with Aknadin having all Millennium Items to the final battle before the gates of the City with the Pharaoh and remaining priest having there Millennium Items again.
As this way we now have a bit of time between Zork appearance in the Tempel and the final fight before the City during which the anime explained how we get from point A to B.

kyuuibi rasagen there were never four. There were 4 cards of him. In Ancient Egypt there was only one. In the world of memories there are 3 because Kaiba has the cards and the life energy to summon them through Kisara, Priest Seto and himself. That’s how I interpret it based on the fact that even Priest Seto couldn’t summon more than one dragon. Also the damage that the Ultimate Dragon did wasn’t as big as the damage done by ancient Blue-Eyes. So the card versions must be weaker.
@@thecaptainseye Zorc never managed to beat Ultimate Dragon though. They were equal the whole time. Ultimate Dragon's blast was more powerful than Blue-Eyes, Zorc was just invincible save for an attack from Horakhty.
Why is there more than one? Going by this story there should be only one lol.
Perhaps there were 4 different bearers of the other 3 Blue-Eyes, and aside from Kisara, they're from other places of the world, and thus, are not part of the main characters's memories from the past.
Zorc got lucky that Kaiba didn't use his ultimate card

If blue eyes ultimate dragon can push zorc away, why master dragon knight unable to defeat zorc? I thought it is more powerful than blue eyes ultimate dragon
Dragon Master Knight did little damage to zorc Zorc had his arm blocking the blast but it did some damage to him though if Yami Yugi was able to Dragon Master Knight special ability it wood have gain the attack power of all dragon type monsters that were defeated including Slifer the Sky Dragon and the winged dragon of ra then Dragon Master Knight would have destroyed zorc
Because Zorc got near unlimited extra power from the Darkness itself.
Only the creator of Light could ever defeat him for good even if other high god level powered being of the Light and divine attribute were able to push him back temporarily.
