    LOVE, love, love the videos, Adam- thank you so much for doing them! I'm just starting to take baby steps w/ my RS3 (Uni Stg 1) and your content makes it a lot easier trying to plan my path forward. Keep up the great work and please clone Kyle! lol

    The wastegate looked much more linear before the mods. Are you going to have it adjusted or the tune adjusted to compensate? How did boost look? If it's opening and then having to reclose like it did you might have actually lost some power.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 роки тому +2

      The tune will stay the same. The boost looked stronger than ever.

    Noo why did you do the unitronic intake like that I would gladly trade my CTS intake which is a open design for the beautiful uni intake😂😂 . Jk anyways beautiful setup can't wait to see the dyno video and more racing next year when the nasty weather is gone 👍👍

    Forge has this already and everything fits perfectly without cutting. Also there are several different springs for different levels of boost you are in so this wasn`t anything new I would say?

    • @VancityAudi

      I'm not reinventing the wheel here, no. I'm just trying to make my system as efficient as possible in hopes of increasing flow and making more power.

  • @rekt_86
    @rekt_86 3 роки тому

    now of course the question is did you make the system more efficient from the TTE inlet, or the larger intercooler piping to the TB ;)

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 роки тому

      Sadly, that will be impossible to tell

  • @gingersteezethc

    If you’re wastegate duty cycle is pegged at 100% why wouldn’t you just raise your wastegate crack pressure/pre load? Or use a stiffer spring on the wastegate actuator

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 роки тому

      You certainly could but I am using OTS tuning from Unitronic. I don't want to mess with the actual turbo itself. Plus if I touch anything on the turbo itself TTE won't warranty it if it fails

    Keen to share the items used to plug the orginal Dv wiring?... Resistor used etc?

    • @VancityAudi

      Sadly I don't even know! I went to pick up the materials for the custom pipes Kyle made and I wasn't there for when he made the resistor.

    Nice video Adam, any advice on resealing the oil sump ok rs3, got new one new screws, for 3rd time and still damp on rh rear corner, not leaking but it just doesn’t seal well, I’ve seen yours is bone dry, maybe a better sealeant can sort the issue 🤦‍♂️

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  Рік тому +2

      We've removed the sealant and resealed my oil pan twice. They are notorious for leaking on this platform.

    • @dan5pot
      @dan5pot Рік тому

      @@VancityAudi so there’s no solution or fix for that, think the upper sump is not machined well and the sealeant doesn’t adhere enough to make that perfect seal, thanks Adam and all the best, one of the my favourite channels with loads of informative videos 💪 keep the good work

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  Рік тому +1

      @@dan5pot thanks for watching. From what I have seen it's the design of the pan. The sealant going around the bolts doesn't create a perfect seal.

    so what really made the difference? throttle inlet or cold side piping?

    The front of the car is not smoked in the rain? At every stop in winter, the front of the car starts to smoke. Do you know anything about this?

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, my RS3 used to have lots of steam pour out of the hood on rainy, cold days when i daily drove it. It was nothing to worry about.

      Fe you need to know that this is not normal. He didn’t do this smoking for years, only a few years later…. something went wrong in the car….

    Hi, I have cts mid pipes and unitronic catted down-pipe only. Should I go with unitronic stage 1+ map or stage 2 map? Also what 1/4 mile times should I be looking at with lighter wheels and pilot sport cup 2’s? Thanks

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 роки тому +1

      As soon as you upgrade your downpipe you are now Stage 2. You need to get an intercooler on that thing ASAP though as that is needed to keep your car running properly on Stage 2. 1/4 mile times will vary on a ton of different things

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 роки тому +3

      Seems like it huh? You have to look at the big picture though. If my wastegate was fully shut or nearly fully shut before and I have always been slightly short of my target boost, this has now enabled me to more than likely hit my target boost now and in turn make more power which ultimately helps me go even faster. It's all in the small details which add more and more to the car to go faster and faster. For most I imagine this might not be worth it. For the people that want to get every last drop of performance out of their RS3's... hell yes
