Surely the SCREWS would be better removed with a screwdriver, rather than just pulling with nippers. There's more chance of them breaking off & leaving a piece deep in the wound, the way it was shown on the screen.🤔
I’ve been watching older videos and I gotta say every time you pulled a nail or stone my heart skipped a beat. Just make my heart hurt for these cows. Thank you for helping them feel great again. You are a blessing.
Graeme, have you ever thought about starting a "museum" with the stuff you've pulled from bovine feet? There's a gastroenterologist here where I live that has a display of items he's pulled out of people's stomaches and intestines.
I have stepped on a pin cushion so hard with my heel that the *blunt* ends of the needles and pins went through the heel all at once. Watching this gave me flashbacks to almost slipping on my own blood. Thanks for that. and thanks for taking care of these wonderful creatures!
That 5” screw takes the trophy on that one I just want to a step back and thank you you for what you do not just for the animals (which is alot) but everything you do with educating farmers and trimmers a like…..thank graham for everything, love from Texas keep on plugging away
These copies must feel so much relief after seeing him. Imagine being a cow and your feet just HURT but you have no way of understanding why, then this dude shows up and bam! You're better!
I’ve stepped on a nail before and let me just confirm what everyone is thinking, *yes it hurts.* The problem with cows is they can’t run and tell someone what’s happened as fast as we can. 🥺 *Thank you for all that you do Graeme!!*
@@geoffrey6000 Maybe some didn’t make them as lame as the more dramatic ones but anything stuck in the horn can create major problems if muck and digital dermatitis gets in. Mainly my comment was about that massive *screw. I wish my foot healed as fast as the cows do after Graeme gets them sorted lol
I think everyone will make the same conclusion even without experiencing it, that obviously it would fucking hurt like hell if there's a nail on your foot
Do you keep the things you pull out? It would be unique to see all of them lined up like a show and tell. I think the 5” long screw would be the worst. I stepped out a board and had 2 nail go into my foot about an inch each and it took about 3 months before I could walk properly again.
When I was a kid I stepped on a nail once. Never did it again. I'm 65. So, there is still time. I am still vigilant around areas that could have hazards like that. I can still FEEL the nail as it sank in to my foot 55 years ago. Horrible.
Boi 3 months I step on nails all the time and go back to walking right after I've even had a nail hit my head and I started bleeding really bad and continued my day 2 hours later Ps im not trying to be rude I just think that's a bit long
I do not think I've seen such a complete comprehensive teaching and explaining of such a massive amount of knowledge it takes to treat these animals correctly. This guy is the real deal. I'd love to spend a day watching this Dr work his magic. God bless you brother
Wowza! Watching all these at once is "impacting". When little, I was running out of the corn crib and leaped on a nail in a board. It was so painful, when I got the tetanus shot in my arm I didn't feel that at all. I feel for these cows and bulls for sure.
As I child I hated wearing shoes. I had blood poisoning twice and countless numbers of puctures, cuts, and scrapes growing up. I really do feel for these animals and I am happy they have someone like Graham to help them.
Ouch, I feel you. I had a nail or screw go in and out of my knee when I was crawling/playing under the porch my father was building and it was so painful

When I was 5 years old I stepped on 2 nails at the same time, one in each foot. They both had to be pulled out (thanks Dad). After dad pulled them out he gave me a tetanus shot in my arse. Not sure what hurt the most but I did spend the rest of the day crawling rather than walking. Having experienced that and how vivid it remains in my memory to this day (60 years later) I will have to say that either the item in the bulls foot or the 4.5inch construction screw would be my least desired impalement.
I just opened youtube and saw your video Hurray!!!! Then it got me thinking how someone in the comments said your channel was their guilty pleasure... for me there's NO GUILT! :) Some of the things I watch on youtube are a total waste of time, but your channel is very much worth watching! Just found out that I love what you're doing for these cows and how much they're loved.. they always walk away better then when you started... god bless
The problem with modern hardened screws is that they can easily snap off, leaving part of the screw in the foot. Don't bend these modern screws when pulling them. Pull them straight out. Yes....I was a carpenter!! 😁😁❤

I love your videos, I work at a horse ranch with around 120 horses and I sometimes have to take crazy stuff out of there feet, it always makes me feel so good knowing that they will get better now that there feet are clean. One of our horses went lame all of a sudden and I found a pocket of gravel under a thin layer of hoof so I cleaned it best I could and made a way so it doesn’t fill up again just like I’ve seen you do for cows since our ferrier wasn’t due for 2 days and he said it helped tremendously!
Great compilation video. It is amazing what a cow can tolerate and still carry on relatively normally as some of them had done. Also amazing to see how much the quality of the recordings have improved from the earlier videos!
I use to help out at a friends dairy farm during High school. (1986-90) I learned so much!! I was in the FFA and continued my learning through judging competitions and seminars. You wouldn’t believe it, I did all that and joined the military. The USAF, I had a chance to spend 6 years stationed in the UK back in 2000. LOVED IT!! Toured all over the place. Scotland, Ireland, and Europe what a time!! You have a great country!! Hated leaving!!
Holy moly…not just a nail 5 inches long…a screw! A self-tapper, pounding in further with every step, catching on every rough patch of ground to yank it sideways in the wound…poor cow. She must love you now!
This actually reminds me of a time when I was a kid. We were on a camping weekend to this little town a few hours up the coast (Australia). While walking along the beach, a box thorn stuck about an inch into my dad's heel and obviously he had to go to the local hospital to get it removed. The problem with a box thorn is that its needles point down and at an outward angle so pulling it out was really hard as the needles would dig into the flesh of the heel. As you can imagine, it took a while. Thank God for local anesthetic..... So yeah, remembering my dad I can kinda imagine how these cows would feel and the pain relief you're able to give them.
Watching all those items being removed from the hoofs was even satisfying to ME! I can’t even stand a wooden splinter in my toe! GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR WORK!
It's wonderful the way you help these creatures that can't help themselves. It must be a very rewarding profession. Thanks for making me aware of this!
The summer before I went to college, I worked on a dairy farm. One morning, as I was cleaning the stalls, I stepped on a large nail which went through my boot and on through my foot. I can totally relate to the cows' discomfort. (I wasn't too upset though, because I didn't have to bale hay that afternoon) This video brought back some "wonderful " memories. Cheers!
Thank you for the compilation of "things stuck in a cows foot". The cow with the 5in screw in her foot? You mentioned the stink and the puss. I know this is the type of think you catch the farmer up on. Do you know what he did from there? Vet, I'd assume? And was the cow still lame, but healing, the next time you saw her? I'd be interested in knowing more of her story if you remember.
After recently stepping all the freakin way down on a 16° nail at work the other day, i can imagine these cows relief at having someone remove their discomfort. Bless you for your kind work.🍻
I can only imagine the relief of these wonderful beings. Congratulations on the excellent work and here's the suggestion: Make sure that the animal's paw is very dirty, but throw a jet of water before it even runs.the cleaning operation ok 👍🏻👍🏻

Personally, I would prefer not having a giant stone in my foot. I don't have hooves, so a rock would require a great deal of force to get it inside of my foot.
@@user-ok4pk2mp3e no I wouldn’t like that either…but it would be more likely for me to step on a nail that would go through my foot than for me to step on a rock that would go through my foot. And I don’t like walking in my bare feet so I step on rocks all the time with my tennis shoes. But I’m sure if I were to step on a nail in my tennis shoes, it could puncture through depending on the angle.
You might consider adding hemostats to your kit for some of these occasions! We use them in medicine when we need a good grip since they lock closed. Not great for rocks but probably better for screws and nails!

Jesus……those poor babies! Their on their feet all day and step on so much, it takes a person of pure heart to take care of such beautiful animals ailments and make them feel better
The cows at the place that I volunteer at don't need to worry about me doing that in fact the only thing that goes on the ground in their pen that is dropped onto it from my hand is treats for the cows that I bring with me from home
Graeme, I'm glad you made the video because it poses a 2 part question I've been wanting to ask you. What would you do if both claws had a really bad problem and it wouldn't allow you to put a block on, and have you ever in all your years of trimming have you ever had to put blocks on all 4 hooves?
I don't know if you saw his video using the iron block which can be used to work around a problem which would normally prevent a block being used? ua-cam.com/video/n7rLPzXayvQ/v-deo.html
Love your videos and love that you are so kind and caring to the cows (and bulls). Also, I love love love your accent! Thank you for sharing your work and stories with all of us. *Blessed Be and Stay Well!* from Upper Left Corner(Washington), USA.
I grew up on a dairy farm I can't ever recall us having any of the issues I've seen in your videos...I spent most of my childhood and all my teen years until I was 18 working for my grandfather.
You must have taken very good care of your cows, I wish the farmers would come up with ways to prevent these types of hoof injuries from happening. Perhaps regular sweeps of the cow yard with a large magnet roller could help with foreign metal injuries. ❤️ 🐄
@@addiegraves3 That only deals with metal, sharp things come in many types of material. These farms are huge, it would be nearly impossible to try to eliminate those hazards.
When you pull a half screw out be aware to look further to make sure it didnt just break!! Something to keep in mind because them drywall screws will break very easy . Im sure you know this but a reminder aint bad every now and then
when you pull something like that out of any creatures foot, a medical follow up is usually guaranteed(swift, probably not. earliest availability for a farm vet ain't typically that soon since they get booked out doing general health checks)
@@DeathnoteBB grinder might not catch it if the broken part worked it’s way in a bit more. I would imagine that the veterinarian would have to come out for a tetanus shot and maybe an X-ray
I was thinking the same thing about the end of the screw still being in thereby since the end of the screw was visible… not to worry in that regard. But like you said I hope she gets meds and a tetanus. I would definitely want an X-ray if the end of the object was undetermined.
@@prcervi Umm I highly doubt there is any medical follow up after finding metal in a cows foot. Them getting a trim is top of the mountain . lol The cows we see are the lucky ones and before they call a doctor they would prolly call the butcher first.

Woah!! That screw in the second to last cows foot. It just kept coming and coming as if it wasn’t going to stop. I bet that hurt so much! I know that stones and stuff get stuck in hooves but the size of that just blew me away. Xx

Still, with all the comfort and relief you bring to these cows, there is no doubt that you are a channel for God's work here on Earth, compensated or not.
🤔💡 Now I want to send him a jar to keep in the crush so he can collect everything.
I was thinking the same thing
What a cool idea!
Like the tire places that keep a big jar of stuff they’ve pulled out of tires.
I work for pronsturs and I have a collection of things I've removed. Like how tf do you fit an entire box of captain crunch in one body? Still boxed?
It's lovely how much he cares about these cows
Cows feet seen much softer than I would have imagined. Warms my heart to see that there are people who know how to help them. Thank You for sharing
I have stepped on a pin cushion so hard with my heel that the *blunt* ends of the needles and pins went through the heel all at once. Watching this gave me flashbacks to almost slipping on my own blood. Thanks for that. and thanks for taking care of these wonderful creatures!
Hello Raebae how’s the weather over there
That 5” screw takes the trophy on that one
I just want to a step back and thank you you for what you do not just for the animals (which is alot) but everything you do with educating farmers and trimmers a like…..thank graham for everything, love from Texas keep on plugging away
*Thank you for all that you do Graeme!!*
but what cows have, is over an inch of horn or whatever it's called, so some of these weren't overly painful.
@@agnez______9956 no
Imagine how satisfied the cow felt when the things where removed
I think everyone will make the same conclusion even without experiencing it, that obviously it would fucking hurt like hell if there's a nail on your foot
Do you keep the things you pull out? It would be unique to see all of them lined up like a show and tell.
I think the 5” long screw would be the worst. I stepped out a board and had 2 nail go into my foot about an inch each and it took about 3 months before I could walk properly again.
When I was like 10 I had an old rusty nail stab roughly 3/4 inch into my foot, luckily I was wearing sandals that stopped it from going further in
When I was a kid I stepped on a nail once. Never did it again. I'm 65. So, there is still time.
I am still vigilant around areas that could have hazards like that.
I can still FEEL the nail as it sank in to my foot 55 years ago.
Horrible.
Boi 3 months I step on nails all the time and go back to walking right after I've even had a nail hit my head and I started bleeding really bad and continued my day 2 hours later
Ps im not trying to be rude I just think that's a bit long
@@graceadams6519 how you heal and how someone’s else’s body heals is different. Don’t compare the two.
@@Mrszhersheyy yea I know I'm sorry

As satisfying as these are, it's amazing for him to be helping out these cows and giving them relief 💕💕 This give me faith in humanity ❤
Lmao those ass shots really do sting. Once had a boil on my ass, had to sit down with one cheek for the whole week. Was definitely not pleasant
I love that throughout all of this, the cow is just vibing. Like they just don’t care.

I just opened youtube and saw your video Hurray!!!! Then it got me thinking how someone in the comments said your channel was their guilty pleasure... for me there's NO GUILT! :) Some of the things I watch on youtube are a total waste of time, but your channel is very much worth watching! A wonderful human being, doing fantastic work, and making cows feel better! Nothing to feel guilty about there! If I had to only watch one channel on youtube it would be yours hands down. No contest. Thank you Graeme for this channel and all the hard work you put in every day outside of youtube AND on this channel! I hope you see this comment. Just found out that I love what you're doing for these cows and how much they're loved.. they always walk away better then when you started... god bless
The problem with modern hardened screws is that they can easily snap off, leaving part of the screw in the foot.
Don't bend these modern screws when pulling them. Pull them straight out.
Yes....I was a carpenter!!

i wonder if the best course of action would be to get a screwdriver and remove it how god intended.

Hey Hoof GP I really appreciate work you do to keep these amazing animals happy and pain free 😊 😃
I’ve been watching for a couple weeks. It’s just fascinating to me. I don’t know anything about hoof trimming. You care so much about the cows and bulls comfort and wellbeing. The landscape is unbelievable!!! Me and my sister want visit sometime. I live in Fort Worth, Texas USA.

Hello Debbie how’s the weather over there
Imagine how amazing it must feel for the cow, to have a rock or screw that’s been in there for so long finally popped out.
I can't even imagine how much pain they go thru, and there he is... He is a hero for these cows! Thank you for your will!

God bless him for doing good work helping these poor cows hoofs.

Wow that 5 inch screw is the one that got me. It seriously made my foot ache. Thank you for what you do for these cows!

I am so glad that you are there to bring comfort back to these beautiful animals.
I have nothing to do with cows but I'm so glad that you're there taking good care of some of them and their footsies
Holy moly…not just a nail 5 inches long…a screw! A self-tapper, pounding in further with every step, catching on every rough patch of ground to yank it sideways in the wound…poor cow. She must love you now!
Hello Catherine how’s the weather over there
This actually reminds me of a time when I was a kid.
So amazing tome to see all the different debris that can be embedded in their hoof! Brutal for them! So glad you do your work so well!
Hello 👋 dear how are you doing ❓
It's wonderful the way you help these creatures that can't help themselves. It must be a very rewarding profession. Thanks for making me aware of this!
Great job!! How blessed these animals are to have you looking after them!! ♥️
Hello Anne how’s the weather over there
The summer before I went to college, I worked on a dairy farm. One morning, as I was cleaning the stalls, I stepped on a large nail which went through my boot and on through my foot. I can totally relate to the cows' discomfort. (I wasn't too upset though, because I didn't have to bale hay that afternoon) This video brought back some "wonderful " memories. Cheers!
"Sorry guys, I can't bale hay with you as I've a big ass nail sticking out of my foot" 😀
OMG! How’s your foot now? I would of screamed and passed out from the pain!
Not doubting you, but how does a nail get positioned in a cow stall so that one can step on it? Had to be a fluke occurrence.
@@ownpetard8379 it was a large nail through a board that was covered by hay. It was an old barn, not in the best shape.

The nail. The long nail near the end of the video. Definitely the one I would not want in my foot …. So glad you were able to help these cows ❤️❤️
You should send him a couple of sizes. 😊

I was asking my screen "where are your needle nosed vice grips, Graeme?"
I'm thinking, "Where's your screwdriver?" I don't know, is it better to pull out or unscrew a screw?

I agree, except that the screw head is ground to nothing. So I'd recommend needle nosed grips and unscrew instead of pulling

You are good helping are cows. Happy valentims day.
I think people should be careful with discarding stuff like nails, etc. when repairing!
The cows at the place that I volunteer at don't need to worry about me doing that in fact the only thing that goes on the ground in their pen that is dropped onto it from my hand is treats for the cows that I bring with me from home
A simple magnet sweep over the cow yard regularly, could save these babes from future injuries
There are even screws inside? Oh, that's painful! I can't take it!

Pretty sure they did, that’s what the grinding was for.
