Graeme you can never ever bore us…you make everything entertaining and I truly do like your explanations as you go about hoof trimming or showing off a farm.
As a bridge nut, I *love* that there's a cantilevered bridge, suspension bridge, and cable-stayed bridge all next to each other. What a beautiful landscape.
Graeme and Craigie Boy, there is absolutely NO WAY for you two to make a boring video! Seriously! Both of you are natural teachers on camera, explaining what you are doing and why. It’s both of you doing your job, caring for animals, and for so many folks that had have never imagined even seeing the underside of a cow’s hoof, the whole process is fascinating. Thanks so much for all you do!
Hello 👋 Norma. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado, where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Anybody who would be bored with your videos would not be watching them all the way to the end. Keep the videos coming please. I would love to see videos of all the farms you go to but I know that's not possible so we'll just stick with this one!
Likewise, I'm a first time viewer to your channel and thoroughly enjoyed the content !! I could even understand your accent - which certainly helps.🇺🇲 I'm originally from Rhodesia where there were Cape buffalo. The water buffalo, I thought, were originally from Asia - I think ? Anyway, it was a great video and I can look for more, I hope ?
Great to be back at Stevie's farm and seeing how his buffalo are doing (he and his herd were the stars of This Farming Life a few years back). It would be fantastic to see the farm tour to see what changes have been made since then
I have to say that with the exception of channels that are about music, your channel has one of the best soundtracks out there. Making 4hr drive for 2 animals? That's dedication. Both you, for doing it, and the farmer, for paying for it (as i can't imagine there's not a trip fee), demonstrate a real commitment to caring for these animals.
I know those ladies feel so much better after their pedicures. I would definitely love to see that farm! I’m used to seeing dairy and beef cattle farms but water buffalo farm is one I haven’t seen before. Plus those calves at the start of the video are absolutely adorable!
The calves are absolutely gorgeous! And of course, we want a grand tour! It's a different place with different beasties, so we've got to see it all! My son got married within the view of those bridges last year (just had their 1st anniversary this month). Instead of the planned party they'd arranged and had to postpone because of the rona in '20, they told us they were "eloping" so they could get the wedding over and done with and we had a huge party this summer of friends and family, some of whom had travelled from as far as America, in their original choice of the Gower Peninsula (talk about stunningly beautiful!) as they live near there. They had the most fun they could have imagined, their hosts at the B&B were charming, and their local photographer went above and beyond. As he had nothing more to do that afternoon, they took him to the pub! Guess where some pics came from lol! I'm always going to have a huge soft spot for that area, and the local people who treated them like old friends, even though we weren't there (we all gave our biggest blessings for them to do this, btw. They got a break in lockdown and to try to arrange everything at the last minute would have been nigh on impossible).
I'm surprised they were as calm as they were never having had their feet trimmed before. Those calves are adorable, and the cows' eyes are gorgeous, the brown as well as that blue one. I'd love to see more of the farm. Do they make cheese there too or just sell the milk? Awesome job! Sorry about the difficulties on the road though.
I'm a fan from Arkansas, USA! You're my favorite farrier. I'm a science teacher and we were having a "free" day here at school today, so I've been showing my students some of your videos. Very fun and interesting. Some of my students own horses and cows, and some hope to be a veterinarian someday. Our local university is getting ready for a new veterinarian program of study. Also, my son just moved to Glasgow, Scotland to manage a group of plastic surgery clinics around Europe. He's in love with your beautiful country. And I plan to visit this summer! Congratulations on your UA-cam success!
Tour of the farm? Yes please! I can't imagine anyone on this channel saying no to such a question! And agreed on the views and landscape... absolutely stunning!
I love watching your program as i roamed all round the area that you work in, some of the names of the farms and areas I still remember, however the farm buildings have changed , gone are the old out buildings and biers, even a section of the Aroad is , to me new yet the road as I remember is still there as well. I worked and slept in several of the farms that you visit now. I left Scotland in 1959 , and only got back for the odd funeral and the last time it was after a23 year gap and I actually got lost in what was my home town. I’m an old man now and I know ill not make it back again, so watching your program and hearing the Scots voices and seeing places where I worked will have to suffice, Thank you, and I hope you stay on UA-cam for another couple of years
I'm from Oklahoma. Cattle and Oil country. I appreciate how you care for the cattle you work on. As ranchers, we care about out stock and we're happy with people like you that care for them. Thank you
Oh I agree, when I read Buffalo, I was thinking “oh, wow” then when it showed them I was like, “whaaaaa?” Then I remembered, oh their not in the States 😂😂🤦🏼♀️
Yes! Lol when I saw the title of the video, first thought that came to my mind was wood buffalo like we have here in Canada but I believe these are water buffalo?! I'm actually not entirely sure lol
There are three different animals called "buffalo": 1) the American bison, 2) the Asian water buffalo that ploughs rice fields in Asia (cows and horses would sink into the mud), and gives milk for the real mozzarella, and 3) the African buffalo that has never been tamed and is dangerous.
@@QuimBeeLivingstone I may be deceived by German, but the English Wikipedia calls both subspecies bisons: the Plains bison (Bison bison bison) and the wood bison (Bison bison athabascae). Language usage may vary; after all, the European bison is a forest animal and may lend its name to the wood bison more easily. But what is called buffalo in the US is the same species as the wood bison, only a different subspecies.
Stubborn animals are usually intelligent animals. They can think and have a mind of their own. Maybe not that best for you, working on them but definitely interesting animals. So yes, Graham, I'd love a tour of this farm!!! If you're offering a tour, it must be different from a regular cow farm so my curiosity is piqued. So many hating on the "man bun". Why? Its Graham's choice and doesn't change who he is and nobody's business except for him and his wife. I love and appreciate your videos and the education you provide for us. ❤🐄🐃
Scotland is as beautiful as I always imagined. I'll probably never see it in person so I totally enjoy seeing pieces of Scotland and learning from you. God bless you.
Would love to see the rest of the farm Graeme. And I'm sure Steve was much appreciative of your handy work with those two cows. Well done once again Graeme!! Love from a Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦 🇬🇧
I need to say, I've been watching this channel for about a year now and I've learned so much. I never knew there were so many intricacies to trimming hooves. Seeing the differences in the way they walk afterwards, how the "crushes" work, how the different grinder blades work, all of it is simply amazing. The look into your personal life, seeing how much you care for the cows and the people you work with is just a joy to watch. AND the fact that you enjoy a good cup of coffee just humanizes everything even more, lol. Keep all of this up and I'll watch forever!
Of course I'd like to see more of Stevie's farm, I've always wondered how buffalo milking compares to cow milking. Thank you to Stevie for allowing you to film there :) xx
You’re always so positive in your videos and I really appreciate it. Im probably being naive but it feels like everything is scripted and to see someone being genuine about doing good really makes me happy man. Thank you
I think getting to see the whole farm and setup would help bring further understanding to the trim job. Like, how do they get like they do, or why they don't have certain conditions. Also, I don't have any buffalo farms near me, so simply experiencing it vicariously would be neat to this curious mind.
I would love to see more about that farm and learn about their operation! What a difference those trims made, wow! As always the scenery is beautiful. In some ways it has helped me to look around my area and see how lovely it is in it's own way.
Agreed. I live in South-Western Norway and damn, Scots seem way better about preserving the forests they do have. There is something wrong when there are more forests and wildlife by the city. There is a single forest left by where I live. There were way more when I was a child.
The look on the Buffalo’s face as you were working on her hoof was priceless. She was feeling what was happening, ok doesn’t hurt, but the suspicion remained. Lol. I so appreciate you. The care you have for these animals always touches me. The second cow kept turning to look at you, was a thank you I think.
I lovvvve his genuine care like it's a job yes but in my heart if he could I think he'd do it for free !!! I respect humans like him with a passion 🩵🩵🩵 Blessing to you and your family!!!
It’s very cool to see the buffaloes. Thanks to Hoof Gp and all involved for letting us see these beautiful creatures. Would love to see more of this amazing farm.
Former farm girl from Canada here...love your videos and how you care for these animals! Would love to see the rest of this farm. Scotland is so beautiful!!
Didn’t know that water buffaloes could be kept as dairy herds. It just never crossed my mind. I would love to see the similarities and differences of this buffalo dairy farm..
It's not just standard cattle that can be farmed. You might think other animals are buffalo, bison, elk, deer, moose, antelope, reindeer (caribou), etc. can be farmed. Some animals like moose is not common to farm, some places in the world are trying their hand at it. Reindeer farming is slowly becoming a bigger industry. Much likes cow, buffalo, or bison milk; you can use the reindeer milk for various things. Reindeer meat is high in protein and vitamins, and low in fat. Some people compare its nutritional value to fish. Advancements are being made in farming various animals outside of cattle. (Yes, I did a quick search).
@@TheMrCC21 Yep! There's a bison ranch north of my hometown and an elk ranch northwest of that. Their meat is *delicious,* if rather dry because of the lower fat content. They also don't need as many specialized facilities because they're actually *designed* for this climate. Their meat is a *lot* more expensive, though, because of the relatively low supply.
YES PLEASE!! Would love a tour of the farm, and see the adorable little calves, and the milking of the buffaloes, great job Graham, they were so beautiful, thank you for posting, and take care.👍🥰💙
I would love a complete tour of farm with more info on the breed, they look a lot like water Buffalo. It would also be cool to see these 2 a few weeks later and see how they are doing
I would definitely love to see the rest of the buffalo farm. I love how concerned for his girlies Stevie was, and how you helped explain what was going on with their feet to him.
Brilliant to see the transformation of those HUGE hooves, couldn’t believe how big they had grown!! Look forward to seeing the rest of the farm especially the creamery.
You could tell that they were happy getting out and were trying to understand the new feel of their back hooves. They were lifting their back legs up higher to deal with the phantom long hoof but with each step it was gradually getting lower and I swear I saw the second one smile when they started to realize what had happened.
The last water buffalo was very happy for sure! She was looking back to say wow thank you for making me feel better! Water Buffalo are very interesting animals. They are very attached to their herd mates. They are very affectionate as well.
Please, please show us the rest of the farm. It’s sure to be fascinating. Also great advertising for Stevie’s buffalo milk products. It was a relief to see the cows were relatively calm. I was thinking about that poor guy in Wales who was killed by one of his buffaloes last year. (I think it was last year.) Calves are mega-cute. More calves, please.

As both left the crush they turned to you as if they were saying "thank you"...😊 I like how you include the explanation as to what and why you are trimming them that way. Also, love seeing all of the scenery from over there!
Would love to see the entire farm tour.. I grew up on a small (very small, as in less than 30 head of cattle) family dairy farm in Northwest Wisconsin during the 60s and 70s; and enjoy seeing the improvements we've made to take better care of the cattle.
I love your hair! Thank you for always showing the cows (and buffalo) compassion. (I live in California and drove from London to Oban and was able to see Scotland's beautiful countryside and mountains. It was all breathtaking!) Of course would love to see the Farm tour.
After seeing stevie on the farming series and at that time all his ideas as he’d just bought his new farm then, would love to see the farm now! How awesome are those cows.

You are so professional with it, teaching your knowledge confidently but still remaining so humble and never condescending with it. It’s just great to see somebody appreciate how important and valuable their work is!
Hey I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos. I am an esthetician in Canada so I give pedicures on “people” feet. I don’t live on a farm nor have I ever had any kind of farm animal. What I love so much about your videos is how excited u get when you see the difference in your “client’s” feet! I'll place my vote for the farm tour! I've seen many cow farms, would love to see the the differences of the Buffalo farm. I've learned so much from you already, keep up the awesome work!
I want to visit Scotland so badly!!! Maybe this year. You do a fantastic job always!!!! These hooves I must say absolutely shocked me and I’m so glad he let you trim them!! I can imagine the relief these animals felt!
i would love to see the whole setup this farm has going if only because everything I've ever learned about buffalo is that they can be incredibly aggressive so I'm learning!
Wild Cape buffalo are dangerous. I’ve heard that when they’re raised in captivity and treated well, they can accept humans as part of their herd. I’ve read at least one account of a man working with a herd when they were spooked by some stray dogs. They charged towards him and he was sure he was going to die. But they surrounded him, with their rumps towards him and horns facing the dogs. It’s the same way they protect calves in the wild. He was good to them and they protected him in return.
That farm is populated with water buffalo, which are common domestic livestock in SE Asia. It's the African Cape Buffalo that requires the UTMOST respect. Cape buffalo WILL gore lions.
@@eliduttman315the asian water buffalo can be just as dangerous and aggressive. They run wild in topend of NT Aust, you should watch vids of catching and trapping done there.

Absolutely want to see it! I'm in West Virginia USA so everything there is fascinating to me!
I'm in West Virginia as well!
I’m in WV too. Love this channel.
I’m in Chesaeake Virginia and yes!
I'm near Parkersburg how bout you guys and by the way I love this vlog!
Yeah it’s crazy how different stuff is, plus a lot of stuff seems more interesting, this state (wv) can be boring
Absolutely would love to see the rest of the farm. Especially the differences between the milking of buffaloes vs. dairy cows
Love that the owner is worried about his girls emotional health❤
Touring the farm would be quite interesting. I would love to see the similarities and differences between farms in Scotland and in the USA.
I absolutely wanting to see the rest of the farm. You've travelled so far, make the trip worth it 😉😁. Such gentle souls, but yes, definitely stubborn.
Hello 👋 Norma. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado, where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Let’s see the rest of the farm please. Those buffalos have such gentle eyes, what beautiful animals they are ❤
Anybody who would be bored with your videos would not be watching them all the way to the end. Keep the videos coming please. I would love to see videos of all the farms you go to but I know that's not possible so we'll just stick with this one!
Do goats, yaks, naks or camels ever need your professional services ?
Would definitely like to get a tour around this farm
Did you forget your eye protection again???😮
@@lindaarnold5683 that's an odd answer... How does it relate to my comment?
@@SouthAfricanPI does it have to relate?☺
@@lindaarnold5683 if it is to make sense, yes

The last buffalo was so grateful she left you a parting gift. Really respect your work and your sincere care for these animals! 😊🇨🇦
Likewise, I'm a first time viewer to your channel and thoroughly enjoyed the content !! I could even understand your accent - which certainly helps.🇺🇲
I'm originally from Rhodesia where there were Cape buffalo. The water buffalo, I thought, were originally from Asia - I think ? Anyway, it was a great video and I can look for more, I hope ?
@@johnking8679I think half of watching is because I so love the accent!
@@johnking8679, Water Buffalo are from Asia. They have swept-back horns. Cape Buffalo have horns like the gnu/wildebeast, & the musk ox.
Always enjoy your videos and of course I would like to see more of the farm.
This farm is literally 5mins from my house Steven has done incredibly well and become a real success story
I'll bet it smells amazing. :-) It sure looks nice though.
No kidding, just from looking at his house you can tell his UA-cam channel is paying off big time.
@@mondavou9408Honestly, I’d rather smell cow poo than chicken poo. 😂
@@VictoriaEMeredithYup or worse some swine🤧😱
Tour of the farm? Yes please! I can't imagine anyone on this channel saying no to such a question! And agreed on the views and landscape... absolutely stunning!
Definitely would enjoy seeing more of the farm, I have seen Bison and elk farms here in Alberta, it's always cool to see something new.
I’m an old man now and I know ill not make it back again, so watching your program and hearing the Scots voices and seeing places where I worked will have to suffice, Thank you, and I hope you stay on UA-cam for another couple of years
That Buffalo left you a parting gift on your way out to thank you for your hard work🤣
And peed herself while he was trimming 🤣🤣
Messy animals...
They shit a lot
A celebratory poo!! 🎉😂
Oh god😅. That’s disgusting, but yeah buffalos are nasty.

I'm from Oklahoma. Cattle and Oil country. I appreciate how you care for the cattle you work on. As ranchers, we care about out stock and we're happy with people like you that care for them. Thank you
Would love to see the whole farm and those adorable calves. I'm used to North American Bison, so those buffalo are unusual and fascinating to me. 😁
@@stephanpopp6210 the American bison is a wood buffalo
Would love to see the rest of the farm!
Yes please do a tour! That would be amazing to see 😃
You did a great job working on the Buffalo's feet. They looked awesome compared with what they were when they walked into the Crush.
You said everything. I feel the same way. Love watching all the videos.
As a Wisconsinite, how could I say no to a tour of a dairy farm!? 👍
Absolutely!!
You are so kind. Cows can be frustrating and at the same time loving . Watching a momma with her calf makes the heart melt.
Of course I'd like to see more of Stevie's farm, I've always wondered how buffalo milking compares to cow milking. Thank you to Stevie for allowing you to film there :) xx
Yes yes! Please show the rest of the farm, especially the babies!!!!Amazing transformation on those hooves! Great job!
Yes, please. A tour would be fascinating.
The views of the Scottish countryside are epic. Much more varied than I expected. Thank you. .....,. I'm sorry your pickup broke down
Agreed. I live in South-Western Norway and damn, Scots seem way better about preserving the forests they do have. There is something wrong when there are more forests and wildlife by the city. There is a single forest left by where I live. There were way more when I was a child.
Please don't think your boring. I totally love your videos. Anything g and everything you could share would be great thanks.

Didn’t know that water buffaloes could be kept as dairy herds. It just never crossed my mind. I would love to see the similarities and differences of this buffalo dairy farm..
@TheSmartSheep The best pizza cheese in the world!
Absolutely💯💯💯
@TheSmartSheep ...a particular species of Italian water buffalo, even. ;)
Yes the farm please. Your NOT boring.
Yes! I also feel like the 2nd gal hung around a bit longer like "Woah, hey, you did this? Feels funny but so much better!"
(I think it was last year.)
Calves are mega-cute. More calves, please.

Yes show the whole buffalo farm! Very interesting seeing the trim. And always love seeing calves.
