I don’t understand why UA-cam does not allow the editor to edit the audio like you would in an audio software or video editing software. Why can’t we increase the level of the volume to say 12 DB within the UA-cam editing software?

I really wish yt editor added at least one transition effect like fade in/out. I needed to cut some boring segments from our videos (in our cat channel) because a lot of our videos have very low viewer retention. What i hated with the edited videos is the jarring change of frames (and sound) at the point where the video was cut. Yt should really add a feature or effects to improve this!
I also had this problem but it started working for me when I first uploaded the video privately (so that it's not a draft) and then clicked on the video on UA-cam Studio and then the "Editor" button appeared on the left side bar! Hopefully this helps!

I have many videos that I never added an end card too in post-production; however I created a 15 second ending in FCPX last night and I wanted to know if I could add it to an already posted video? I would delete the video, and add it in post and then upload it again, but I know from experience that if I delete the video currently; it's gonna remove my views from that video and it's been live on my page for 2 years now. Any advice?

Thanks a lot for this. I followed your tutorial step by step with my own test video and it really helped. The UA-cam editor looks Ok for simple presentations, though voiceovers will need a separate editor. One thing that threw me is that I couldn't view the video with edits after I had made the edit. I thought this was because it was set to Private, and then found that UA-cam would not let me switch to Public until I had published. Even then I could only change the Accessibililty for all my videos in bulk. So I changed to Public and then viewed my edited version at the same time as the rest of the world. Not what I want. Clearly I am doing something wrong

I can't get the video preview to jump to where I place the playback indicator. I'm trying to cut a section in the middle, so I move the playback indicator to that section of the timeline. When I press the play button, however, the playback indicator jumps back to the beginning of the video. No matter how many times I move it, the moment I hit play, the playback indicator jumps back to the beginning of the video forcing me to watch it in real time until I get to the point I wish to be. What am I doing wrong?
Is there any way I can adjust the brightness with the youtube editor? I have seen another youtube tutorial video on doing that but that one's from 2014. Normally, I would use NLE software to make the necessary changes before uploading to youtube. Though on this occasion, I need to adjust the brightness after upload. I don't want to delete the video, then adjust with NLE software and upload again as I could lose my search position. This particular video is attracting a lot of views within a short space of time.

Sometimes the YT video editor really saves the day, also I find using a mouse is better for control and accuracy instead of a touchpad.

So audio can be added to only, not video? I was hoping to find out that video could be added (well replaced) while the audio track remains the same. Is that not possible with the UA-cam video editor?

Hello, I followed your steps exactly and I hit SAVE. But many hours later it did not save my video edit and the save but is still blue, So I tried it again and no luck. Can you help? I only edited the beginning and end of my video. So no 2nd cuts.
Can we not mute a section? Not really cut a piece of the video but just mute it
Hi ! I noticed once you trim a video & upload it. After uploading we can't use the blurring tool. Is there a way to go about it? Since the video got over a million views so deleting the video is not the option.
Is there an English version to this video?

What is the point if you have to go using other editing software anyway? I really miss the original old editor. There were cool filters and it was so incredibly easy to edit like a pro. I haven't been making edited videos for YEARS now.

Can you remove audio, ex. mute out something on the video that you don't want, like an expletive?
Yes, in UA-cam Studio Editor, you can mute sections of your video. To remove or mute audio (like an expletive), use the 'Trim' tool to select the section, and then apply the 'Mute' option for that part. - Hazel, PV Team
