Thank you, this is the only video that works, I wasted hours going through 20 videos that all had out dated Tutorials that do not work for the new UA-cam Video Editor, finally after two hours I finally found this software and it took me just one minute to do a simple video cut out out of the middle of my video. It's a pity that I didn't come across, you video first, I would have done my quick edit in one minute two hours ago. Thank you, you really helped me out, I thought that I would never get this sorted. Other video editors have been simple for me to use, but I just could't work out UA-cam Studio editor
Two drawbacks in UA-cam editor, which could be great addition I still feel 1)youtube editor doesn't have a feature to add a small clip to merge in already published video 2) If voice is missing for some of the section of video, it has no way to just add a audio/voice for muted section. I greatly needed these features.
quick question. You can only edit videos that are already posted? Or can you start a new project with them? I mainly need it just to trim certain parts of the videos. Nothing too fancy.
TWO? I can give you 222 drawbacks for UA-cam editor. Number one: if I make one edit, it's not clear AT ALL what to do to make a DIFFERENT edit. This is what happens when real people are never consulted.
If ppl slam. This video then Let the person buy a program or get a different program.youtbe offers this for free so in the beginning or easy enough editing this works. There are links he listed for better prgrams

I really wish yt editor added at least one transition effect like fade in/out. I needed to cut some boring segments from our videos (in our cat channel) because a lot of our videos have very low viewer retention. What i hated with the edited videos is the jarring change of frames (and sound) at the point where the video was cut. Yt should really add a feature or effects to improve this!

Thanks a lot for this. I followed your tutorial step by step with my own test video and it really helped. The UA-cam editor looks Ok for simple presentations, though voiceovers will need a separate editor. One thing that threw me is that I couldn't view the video with edits after I had made the edit. I thought this was because it was set to Private, and then found that UA-cam would not let me switch to Public until I had published. Even then I could only change the Accessibililty for all my videos in bulk. So I changed to Public and then viewed my edited version at the same time as the rest of the world. Not what I want. Clearly I am doing something wrong
I also had this problem but it started working for me when I first uploaded the video privately (so that it's not a draft) and then clicked on the video on UA-cam Studio and then the "Editor" button appeared on the left side bar! Hopefully this helps!

I have a live stream that is over 2hrs and I was wondering if within youtube editor I can keep this live stream video and create a second video, a specific 12.5min section of the original live stream. So in the end I want two videos - that 2hrs+ live stream video, still public, and also a new 12.5min video that's a clip of the original video. I am afraid I can't and I have to download the whole big original live stream video and do this in a video editing sofware on my laptop, but it'd be easier if I could do it within youtube's online editor.
I can't get the video preview to jump to where I place the playback indicator. I'm trying to cut a section in the middle, so I move the playback indicator to that section of the timeline. When I press the play button, however, the playback indicator jumps back to the beginning of the video. No matter how many times I move it, the moment I hit play, the playback indicator jumps back to the beginning of the video forcing me to watch it in real time until I get to the point I wish to be. What am I doing wrong?

UA-cam used to have one click to adjust exposure of the video. Too bad they got rid of that feature.

You can only add music in the youtube editor right now. If you download the sounds you can add them using a video editing tool or app

Yes. You can add it in subtitle. once you login to youtube and select the video you want to edit, in left sidebar click on subtitles.
