I have always felt that Stoneman‘s disease is one of the most horrific diseases there is. How I wish there was a cure. As bad as it is, I am often struck by how those who suffer from it do so with such courage. I think of them sometimes when I am tempted to whine about the small burdens in my life.
As sweet as this is, I'd just like to remind you that it's OK to be upset about things in your life. Just because it's 'not as bad as what someone else is going through', doesn't mean you're not allowed to be upset about it ❤
Way back in the 90s, i watched a show on a little boy about 6ish that had this, and he was getting to the point he couldn't ride his bike anymore... i still think of him 😢
ive learned about FOP (fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva) which is prettu much the same thing but idk if its exactly the same as stone mans syndrome just with a differeny name 🤷🏻 but apparently whenever someone with fop gets injured the body tries to fix it like it would fix a broken bone by regenerating more bone, only it does that for muscles and everything💀 which is why doctors cant even do anything to slow it because if they cut away the extra bone it will just „heal“ by growing back
It's actually a different condition. Stone man syndrome basically turns you into bone over time, instead of FOP, which heals with bone. Hope this helped😊(and sorry for my poor English haha)
Is FOP caused by a difference in dystrophin? Kinda like how people with DMD have muscle degeneration? Or what chemical or mutation signals the brain to turn muscle into bone
@@Realseb808 I am completely serious. Seriously. His face clearly looks better every time. Are you blind? Lol. Or are you just a bored hater in your mom's basement watching encouraging videos to just hate on them? Just curious.
To not worry people, Stoneman’s Syndrome is caused by family history of having it (like your mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, etc.) it commonly happens between the ages of 1-10.
I don't think i have this but the cartilage in my hip socket had turned to bone at some point and when i fell at work in December it shattered the hardened cartilage and turns out all the pain i was in was from bone fragments being ground between the ball joint and hip socket. Had extensive surgery in july and have cartilage from a cadaver in my hip now
He has a rare disease that made his face sucken in and he got a total of 4 surgerys to fix it but its still swollen. You can watch his other UA-cam videos to learn more.
