Himalayan 450 Rally Performance Mods: FuelX Pro Plus, Decat Pipe, Way2Speed Air Filter

- 4.7 BHP and 4.8 Nm torque gain at part throttle riding! Massive gains have been made to the Project Himalayan 450 Rally Raid bike by just installing the Powertronic Fuel X Pro Plus.
But it doesn't stop there. So that the bike breathes better, we also have a free-er flowing air filter by Way2Speed and a decat pipe which also brings the total weight of the bike down by another 2.5 kg. The Project Himalayan 450 now weighs 162 kg dry.
You can contact Powertronic for the FuelX Pro Plus here: / powertronic_ecu
You can contact Way2Speed for the air filter here: / way2speed
Speedmonks can be contacted here for the decat pipe: / speedmonks_
I will soon find out how these products perform in the real world by extensively testing them.
You can check out other videos in the Himalayan build series here: • Himalayan 450
Thank you for giving me your time. I appreciate it.
Have a nice day.
Cheers
Can't tell you how much I've been waiting for this video
plus 1!
Thanks Abhinav for keeping the explanaion simple.
Love everything you are doing to drop weight and reasonably increase performance on this machine.
great project, watching from England - thanks for all the vids and data
Thanks for watching!
Bro give back the Kohinoor🧐🧐
@@alienbeats12 BRUHHH.. 🤣
@@alienbeats12Always the negative! Have your stupid rock back would that make you happy? I don't think so the irony is if there was no British involvement we wouldn't have a channel about royal Enfield ,with the host talking in perfect English its been a two way street ,the average brit had no involvement whatsoever in the raj .
This is exactly the type of exhausts i like 👌🏻
Not too loud but just a little fruitier.
I have been on a hunt for an axhaust to lighten my motorcycle without it sounding loud!
Yall really brought it down to xpulse pro-ish weight! The new himmy chassis and suspension with that kinda power😮💨 if RE doesn’t learn from you and make a lightweight short range dualsport version on this new platform, they’re really missing out on something! Kudos to you and everyone involved on this project!!!
What rubbish!
Ask the rider to lose weight - And it will perform the same
Wittiest reply! 😂
You can drop 19 kilos from the rider in a few days?
Yes just replace the rider with one who weighs less! @@abhinavbhatt
@@GregoryHouseMD1so Mr. Gregory, would you offer up your spouse to a leaner guy just because you can't loose 19kg's in a short time?
New motorcycle coming this week. See you soon!😎✌🏽 P.s. Love the video and the Speedmonks merch!
Trying to get to 50-55 bhp 💀 185 kgs hmmmmmmmm making your ideal bike even more ideal🎉
They can't make 50, 10 bhp won't be available without a big bore kit

This 47 bhp is peek bhp 😅
You should see the line graphs
@@FragYT-wh7lb it's not even 47, more like 42-43 that too in the Crank not on wheel

It sounds fantastic! Watching the ride video next.
If these exhaust parts are a perfect fit it will be a best seller🖖👍🍀In Europe people are waiting for such high-quality modifications. good luck
Always trust Sir Abhinav to take his bikes to the next level..That is full dedication 💥💥💥
Great stuff! Really enjoying this series. Very informative
Glad you enjoy it!
Nice and the sound is sweet ☺️ I think if you’re working on a rally one, I think you should think of replacing or do some modifications on tank, lighter and less fuel capacity, so that it will reduce another 4-5kg less 😊 just a suggestion
have absolutely no idea about the numbers but I still have to watch it hehe
Was eagerly waiting for your videos ❤❤❤
TOP! Aguardando a Hima 452 para o Brasil!
8:33 Should I be concerned running map 10? What difference does it make compared to map 8?
Bro is living the dream
I was so waiting for this.
sounds so good 👌
You need to do something about the big chunk of a bracket behind the headlight which I guess will help reduce more weight 👍👏👏
I may do it in aluminium.
Great vid abhinav
Excellent!!!!! Good job guys!!!!
Can u Reduce the seat height of Himalayan 450 to 775mm by modification, without compromise the comfort and stability and riding quality of the bike
No, why do you need it so low?
Sounds raspier. Well done bro
👍 great video (Scotland)
Great job!
Thanks
I have a super meteor 650 with dna airfilter and gursewak free flow exhaust. So should I get a fuel x plus or a powertronic. And what if we install both.
Both
Powertronic is an overkill for the engine whereas fuel x plus is an must
Curious to hear how much dust will be let in with the free flow air filter. Pls do post some pictures of the airbox before and after 🙏 thanks abhinav!
Me will be wanting those parts in Canada.
Which air filter should I go for? Oil based air filters like K&N and BMC or air filters that dont require oiling like Way2Speed? Is way2speed good enough for filtering as well as performance? Which is the best air filter for the Himalayan 450 in your opinion? Love from Mumbai! ❤
Whats the cost of all 3 things in total and how much for these tyres , name of tyres pls , thank you in advance !
Remove the heat shield from the exhaust end can also
Hi Abhinav, delighted to see how much weight you can shed on this bike, "Light is Right" right ?
Of course. The lighter the better.
Wow u r really passionate about 🏍️☄️
Any change in the ground clearance after replacing the resonator box?
I was able to remove the exhaust but unable to remove the catalitic.
Can you please make a video how to remove catalytic
It sounds so good without the exhaust with catalytic on, its sounds melody n i could fell the engine performance a little better
Is Royal Enfield okay with this? Some of my friends having 411s have had no gains and warranty rejects after it failed and their fuel pumps went bad
Very nice Sound
Sounds better 😃
Does air filter and FuelX help reduce engine buzziness that comes beyond 90kmph?
Abhinav ji kya koi tarika hai ki is bike mai city ride mai frequently gear change na karne pade.city mai gear change kar k paresan ho gaya mai.plz.koi solution.asap mai haldwani se hu.

hello, nice project on th himalayan. Doesn't the "fuelx pro plus" effects the fuel consumption of the bike?
It will richer fuel needs more money 😂
@IRONBUTTOCKS great job you are doing on the motorcycle. Keep up
Buenos dias desde Barcelona, me gusta mucho tu trabajo, tubiste que modificar algo para el asiento asiento rally ? Gracias sigue asi
Hi. The rally seat fits without any modifications.
Gracias buen trabajo
Hello! I Just got the product for my svartpilen 401.
I have a question that can not be answered by the manual: I Know that setting the map 10 is the reachest one, but if I want to have the Best perfomance should I always have it in map 10? I have installed and air filter and an Akrapovic exhaust. Iive in a City with a elevation of 3,050 feet or 925 mts above sea level. If I want the Best perfomance what is the recomendable map according to my parameters
follow your question, how can we put it in the best settings?
Wonderful sound 👌always appreciate your hard work bro 👍
Thanks :)
Can that bike get a bassier exhaust rather than this flat note with no thump, and yet have a low weight exhaust ?
Do we have to tune engine map once we have new filter and after removing decat? Or stock map is sufficient?
can i ask if you know the stock tank weight? thx
Looking forward to weighing the bike on a weighing bridge
From were should i get this seat plz ans
Abhinav ji ye workshop delhi mai hai kya
Great to see your progress with this project. Could you please link the source for the chart as seen at 2:41?
It might be on Powertronic website. Just take a screenshot from the video.
how hevy is the tank?
Abhinav can you provide me with a link for handle grips you are using 😊
Does the resonator you removed have any catalytic converter in it? I didn’t get it from the video sorry
Hi Abhinav where is this garage ?
Hi @abhinavbhatt, I'm curious, what are you using for the handgrip?
ODI Ruffian grips
what about the warranty on the bike after these mods?
what's your top speed you're getting now with all your mods?
Hey Abhinav, I am frustrated with RE for not delivering parts. Can you please help with a contact or link for me to get the Rally engine guard?
I dont want anything else since design wise it provides the best weight vs protection.
Please help brother.
Where is the update on R15V3
How about a Lithium Ion battery? You can save around 1.5kgs more, or an Anti gravity battery if you can source it.
I'm running a lithium phosphate battery
@@abhinavbhatt Yeah, saw that Sir. I was following Your videos Episode by episode. Later in your videos, My suggestion was answered
What is the mileage after the modification...?
I don't understand one thing. Himalayan should produce max torque of 40 nm at 5500rpm rightm. But your graph is showing it around 30-35
These figures are at the rear wheel, not the crank. The company advertised crank figures.
Good Morning Abhinav bhai☕️
Good morning
You do interesting things .
Abhinav, do you know that 865 cc big bore kit available for Interceptor that can turn it into a 62+ HP machine ?
Amazing.
I just had 1 suggestion.. since the bike came out I have been hearing a lot about the weight of tank.. since it's made of metal and other bikes like ktms make it from fiberglass or some other material.. basically plastic.. can we also make 1 from fiberglass??
Not my area of expertise. But I want a lighter and narrower tank.
Sir namaskar..
Sir mane gurila 450 top model black yellow khareedi h ..
Sir kya gurila 450 me himalayan 450 hanely black ka fuel tank fit ho sakta h ..?
Nahi lagta, sir.
What's the purpose of resonator? Anyone?
Did you converted it to tubeless? Also which tyre are you using?
Riese Torq
Any chance you're going to try out the ECU Remap ?
Is there an ECU remap available? I haven’t come across any yet.
@@abhinavbhatt powertronics piggyback ECU v4 is there now. Not a direct flash but still via piggyback doing more or less the same thing.
@rishiroger yeah, I have that.
@@abhinavbhatt not talking about the FuelX Pro. I meant the ECU V4 ? If you have both, any review or feedback on any particular difference it brings on top of the FuelX Pro+ when working in combination ? I would be getting it done this weekend supposedly - have my bike at speedmonks 😁. I went there to try the 49T sprocket but sadly it didn't fit due to lack of slack. I'm right now running the FuelX Pro+ already.
@@rishiroger I have the Powertronic piggyback unit too. Yet to install it.
From where you change thys knobby tyres i want this type knobby tyres sir
Reise Torq R. You can buy it from their website.
Abhinav i know i shouldn't be asking this but with your expertise and experience is there anything i can do to get more out of my stock classic 350 reborn?
Don't think so. Just enjoy that bike the way it is meant to. Relaxed, laidback.
Hi Abhinav, does getting just the decat pipe hamper the engine in anyway
Not at all
Can the front fork set of Himalayan be fit on to scrambler 400x?
Should be doable.
How much of a difference will it make after removing the catalytic converter in the PUC test?
No clue.
Bro do u think the zx4r is worth buying or can u recommend meva bike in that range as my first superbike.
I don't ride sports bikes anymore. I won't know the right answer to your question. Sorry.
You have removed the Cat converter ??
Yes
What is you opinion on dominar
Rode one long ago for 20 km. Seemed alright.
If possible buy one and find ways reduce its weight please😅
Seems like there is lot of smoke after these modifications
Good work.....lighter is better for rally....
You think scrambler 400x has potential to loose such weight?
Haven't looked at it in detail. Can't say.
How can eco and performance stock mods work with the fuel x ?
They should.
After removing that part of exhaust box, it will get good results for pollution certificate?
What about bike with full system exhaust did they get puc certificate
Does any of the mods affects engine longevity
Can't say till I ride it for long.
Do you need to remap if you decat?
Not really.
Hey Abhinav, i too have himalayan 450 i was thinking to buy this fuel x pro+ but i am confused. Is it really worth it? Please let me know
Bro if you wanna keep it for long, keep it stock and clean.
Is the graph correct hp look in range of 20-30?
It's with 50% throttle
Decat pipe se to exhaust sound jabardust aa raha hai sir.decat pipe ka kya price hai sir.plz.reply.kya air filter change

Does Speedmonks have resonator delete for KTM 390 Adv?
Yes
Did you put out the catalytic converter or went stock?
Removed the resonator box.
Will/do you offer this as a service?
Sorry, no time.

There is no point at all, making the part throttle richer. You don't need power at part throttle, that's the point of part throttle. So you might as well run it lean and save on fuel. The only thing that's going to change running it richer at part throttle, is that it uses more fuel.
Why wouldn't one want more power and torque part throttle?
Its not like that bike will make peak power at part throttle, these mods increase the power across all the rev range because of emission regulations bikes run leaner.i am i right abhinav?
Correct
Wht did Eicher not thibk of al this ?
Because what I'm doing won't make it road legal.
Dude, doesn't this bike only make 28bhp on the dyno? How you gonna get 50?
34 on the dyno. I'm already at 39.xx on the dyno. That's above 45 at the crank.
@@abhinavbhatt why's everyone keep reporting 28 at the Dyno? Crazy. Have you done a video of a Dyno run and it's results. 5bhp loss is correct for most bikes.
There's a reel on my Instagram. It shows the dyno chart.
What seat is that
Himalayan 450 rally seat. Not available for sale just yet. I have a prototype with me.
Okay.. how much you spent so far
Not sure. I'll calculate after the build is complete.
ALl these changes without a DYNO? wouldn't surprise me if this thing blows the fuck up!
