I'm a huge Steve Perry fan, but you have to give Arnel Pineda lots of respect, his voice almost perfectly replicates that of Steve Perry.... that takes talent... and in reality, with rock music having died in the last 10 years, if we have guys like this leading a revival, I'd be all for that....

@@mddell58 Actually, for me it's the opposite. Arnel has that tenor voice while still being very powerful and high, and has the rasp that is absent in Steve's voice. In my opinion, similar sounding voices but also very different, if you know what I mean. Steve is very high, Arnel is powerful.

Both Steve and Arnel have incredibly beautiful voices. I don't consider one better than the other. I am an ancient Journey fan and appreciate Steve's rich perfect smooth vocals. I also enjoy Arnel's power and strength of vocals.

Pineda did and does an amazing job - it's not easy to find such a good replacement. But for some reasons, Perry's voice is the only one that gives me goosebumps.

My dear friend Tracey passed passed away in November, totally loves journey. When I go to open music, journey always pops up out of nowhere and I love it because I know it's her. Arnle is really good, a great imitation of Perry. Perry’s voice has that one in a million sound, so special, so indescribable, so magical.

My dear friend Tracey passed passed away in November, totally loves journey. When I go to open music, journey always pops up out of nowhere and I love it because I know it's her. Journey is awesome and now has even more meaning to me... thank you Steve Perry my soul aches for you, and I hold on to believe in that kind of love so desperately...
