    Hope you enjoyed this one. I've thrown in quite a few more techniques into the editing, and you got your first in-video glimpse of the newly built AV Trolley (the thing the case was on for the review - well I liked it)!
    I don't normally do this here, but remember if you want to pickup the case and support the channel, please consider using the AV Techy Amazon Associate link:
    amzn.to/3nP2hwY
    It all adds up to driving the channel forward, and I really appreciate the extra support!

      That's just high speed footage, but I think the 60fps recording and 24fps render is making it look weird. I'll have it fixed for next video :/

    I love this case. Managed to get a 280mm AIO (Corsair 115i CAPELLIX) in the top. Used X570 Aorus Pro WiFi MOBO, G.Skill Trident-Z Ram. A tight squeeze but got it in with no space left.

      Good to know! I bought the case hoping I’d be able to fit my 280mm radiator

    • @Real_MisterSir
      @Real_MisterSir Рік тому

      Same here, Strix B660 ITX board, Vengeance DDR5 (low profile), managed to fit the 280mm capellix aio in the top, no parts rubbing at all. Only had to do some squeezing of the 24 pin connector but aside from that it fits snug in the top - and having the front opened up to 3 airflow fans gives plenty of cool air for the gpu and other internals. I honestly love this case so much, I can't believe the combination of aesthetics, functionality, and build quality can come at this price point. And the color coding on the white variant I got is sublime, every tone of white matches perfectly, and the small contrast color details stand out nicely without being overdone in the typical "edgy gamer boii" fashion most other companies still cater to.

    When I bought this case, I honestly thought I was settling. That has def changed now. This case keeps your PC like a daam refrigerator. And usually you have to sacrifice form for function, but that's not the case at all either, it's a nice case with nice clean lines. I personally like the yellow accents. And I really like the smoked glass, you see everything you want and nothing you don't. I know it's all about the 0-11 dynamic these days, but I'm happy I didn't buy one now, everyone and their mother has one, in starting to hate them now.

      Damn, that sucks. I wonder if your panel had a small chip in it from manufacturing or shipping damage that made it extra sensitive to breaking. I've noticed a fair amount of panels have small chips in them which make me a little nervous.
      Bad luck either way, but I can imagine it was damaged a little prior to you getting your hands on it.

    Thanks for the review. Atlast an in depth and dispassionate review from a bright and healthy build enthusiast that isn't driven by sarcasm or a strange man with a funny hat. This definitely helped me with the Corsair 4000D purchase. One question though: what purpose is served by an upright graphics card position - I can see heat dissipation is more optimal if its not vented on the superior aspect but how can it draw in cool air if its up against the glass panel?
    Thanks

      Thank you. Regarding vertical GPU mounts. They're mostly only reasonable to show off the GPU with water cooled systems. Air cooled cards generally struggle in most vertical setups unless they're adjacent to a mesh side panel.

    Excellent work as always. On a side note, do you know the Rev series by Sharkoon? It's one of those rare cases with a 90 degrees rotated motherboard, and it's quite affordable. I recently built a quite powerful system in the rev 100 and threw in 3 Arctic case fans I had lying around. I quite like the result: looks, noise and thermals are all quite good imo, but of course I never did thorough testing like you regularly do. If rotated/inverted cases interest you, I would love to watch a review some time.

    • @AVTechy
      @AVTechy  3 роки тому +2

      Just had a look into those Rev cases, and that's a really interesting formation. Definitely something I'd be interested in reviewing, I'll see if I can make some space for one in the future (currently have the next 2 months planned out with a little flexibility in case I want to cover something new on the fly).
      I really like the look of the Sharkoon ITX cases, that QB One looks really neat (I want to cover ITX more, but it's tricky since they're not as popular, and I haven't got any test data for comparison...). And I was just about to say the MATX cases look a little bland, but they're quite compact which is exactly what an MATX case needs to be to take advantage of the minor difference in size compared to ATX.
      Sharkoon is on the list of interest, thanks for giving me the suggestion!

    • @AVTechy
      @AVTechy  Рік тому

      I'm not sure that's correct since motherboards rely on the screws to link ground to the case. You'll notice the pads around the screw holes on pretty much all motherboards.

    What are your thoughts on the top exhaust flowing through the filter? Does it blow the filter up? Trap dust? Non Issue? Appreciate some insight. Was thinking of 3 120s up front one rear one top.

    • @AVTechy
      @AVTechy  3 роки тому +1

      Well it's certainly not the most efficient way to exhaust air. The top filter is primarily a dust prevention feature to stop it settling into your system, with the option of acting as an exhaust if required (handy for AIOs).
      I need to test this, but I'd hazard a guess that the noise created by exhausting through the top filter outweighs the cooling benefits. You'd probably be better off running out rear exhaust a little faster to get more performance with less noise.
      If possible I'd use the rear as an exhaust to make use of the free area for best performance, and retain the top filter as dust trap and an option for an AIO in teh future.

      Hey. Sorry for the late response. I read this very shortly after you sent it, and didn't have time to respond then. I've never thought about the 'kerb appeal' of the logo much before (at least for a long time). Someone made this one for me ages ago, and it was a damn sight better than the first logo (worth a look to see what I came up with when I started :D ).
      But you've got a point. Could you point me to tech UA-cam channels that have logo's you prefer? Maybe there's a running trend that makes them feel less robotic and more professional/appealing, something I can learn from.
      To me I don't have much of an opinion on logos, but I'm a little absent minded in the design department.

      Thanks for the suggestion. I think it needs an update. Doesn't need to be completely different, just a refresh of sorts.

    1 extra usb 3 port on the front and this case would be perfect

      Prime Minister Boris Johnson order a third national lockdown that started Tuesday and requires everyone in England to stay at home for at least the next six weeks except for exercise, medical appointments, essential shopping and a few other limited exceptions.
      Only 4 more weeks to go?

      I barely feel the lockdown tbh, apart from not going to the gym. We've been doing it for so long, and I'm so busy in the house I just kind of forget about going out much :P
