I always fold my bags back and double seal, one press isn't enough to make it through all the way - not as effective as having it thinner and longer but it works for starting out! Great videos.

That is when I started researching the magnetic sealers. Wow, what a difference it has made in my bag production. Thanks again for all your vids. They have help me out enormously.
@@donnbialik9085 American International Electronic Inc. Model AIR-405HIM . I hope this will improve your bagging. 5mm seals are a lot better and sometimes I will double the seal width on seed spawn bags. I use a Unicorn 5 micron filter bag so I can sterilize sealed in the pressure cooker and not worry with too much moisture in my seeds. Not sure if you are starting out, but if you are not using a steam sterilization drum, you might want to think about making one. It will save you a lot of time sterilizing 32 6.5 lbs bags at a time on a 18 hour soak (steam). Good luck.

@@donnbialik9085 you can also buy a plug and play from Bubba’s Barrels. Owner is a great guy, but you can build yourself and source your heating element and other plumbing parts for 1/3rd the cost.
I purchased the magnetic sealer. some bags at random the heat element will turn on but the magnet wouldn't hold causing the top of the sealer to fly open immediately. what is causing this?
Have you ever had success with pre-sealing? One of those weird areas where a small group of people seemed to have success and everybody else insists it's impossible. I have had some success, but haven't got it quite right yet.
thanks for all the great videos!! On the magnetic switch, would it help to replace the lock nut you mentioned with a nylon lock-nut? (steel (SS?) lined inside in part with nylon) Also, about the metal plate you want to use to cover the diamond-plate: I saw a plastic sheet for rolling out pastry dough at Dollar Tree, to try. It would make the incline nicely, and also lets things slide easily. I think though, I might change the mounting method for the sealer, so the diamond plate AND any other plate on the table wouldn't be needed. That helps with sanitation, avoiding those layers, and possibly avoiding adhesives too. Thanks again!
So after looking on Amazon I found one that says it has a 2 millimeter sealing width, but then the max of 7.9 millimeters. Will this work effectively? Please advise
Hey Eric, what is the brand and model number of this heat sealer? I can't find it. I usually go with american international brand but they look different. thanks!

is a home foodgrade 130W vacuum sealer powerful enough for the unicorn bags?
There are foot operated once on eBay for about $70.00. a are they worth using?
