Sorry for the funnel collapse fail!! The "torpedo" explosion soaked the top deck and ruined the glue holding the funnel down, and it fell when the list got steep.
I liked the failure of the funnel. I want to build a cardboard liner but not sink it. It would be fun to waterproof it and light it up at night on the water. My favorite parts are your interiors. I watch all of your videos and laugh at all of the copycat videos. Thumbs up!
I am building a mini version. And i paint it with water proof woodgleu. It wont hold for ever but you could paint it with polyester resin. and seal the ends of the cardboard with hotglue. And the propeller shaft with a straw and waterproof it with beeswax. This is not going to work for years to come but it sure wil stay afloat a lot longer.
Got to say. Interior wise, you got a lot of details right with the flooding room models. Interesting fact. One of the reasons Lusitania sank so fast was because her watertight doors were manual instead of electric, like the Olympic Class. Some experts also believe that the shockwave from the torpedo also warped the door frames, thus preventing the doors from being closed.
The level of effort that goes into making these models is really astounding. I'm always impressed by the realistic way they sink. Thanks for sharing this hobby with us. P.S. I'm jealous of your beautiful Cardboardia pond! - Sam
I remember watching the original cardboardia sink when I was a kid. And after 10 years I still enjoy these videos! Keep up the good work Chloe, love your content!

Chloe, you're twelve minutes shy of the actually sinking, but your usual attention to detail and your excellent skill at camera work made every second worth it. The elevator and the imploding sky light were outstanding! You must have an endoscope or a laparoscope to get the interior shots... or would they be side models? BTW, nice added touch with the aft steerage bridge.
Lol I have been waiting for eternity ❤️❤️❤️... Please don't mind the funnel I thought it was part of the original plan...It time for you to do another face reveal or a one on one with us😂😂❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌 we would love to meet you live
My son and I started making cardboard boats. I am making one, but it is not as long as yours typically are. Mine is 22 inches from Stern to bow and 8 inches from left and right. I am also using aluminum tape to waterproof the bottom. Hopefully it sinks pretty well. And we will be sinking it in my parents pool so we will be able to watch it as a descends to the bottom.
1:08 The sound is actually used from the two final funnels collapsing after the breakage of the Titanic, while 1:21 the shouting is from A Night To Remember.
The model looks great I especially like the way the deck house was built and that the tape on the funnels gives the look of the bands on the real ship only issue I could see was something seemed off about the forward superstructure height wise idk, but either way good video as usual
Not only do these poor Carboardians have to deal with a cruise line with a non-existent safety record, but now they have to deal with U-boat attacks. What's next, sharks with freaking laser beams attached to their heads!?!?
This reminds me that i builded a big boat like this one but bigger and i accidentaly sunk it becuze it wasnt too heavy...i know it sounds ridiculous but when i build cardboard ships i use rocks to make them heavyer so they dont capsize but this one didnt had too many rocks so you know...it capsized and it begans to sink by the funnels holes and it slowly began to sink in the cold water...even today the wreck is there slowly transforming every day in a ball of cardboard.Slowly all pieces began to breack and the ship is dissapearing...Sad,i know...but this is live...Oh i forgot to tell you the name of it,it was "Small cardboard Titan".I decited to recover it from the lake but i can breack it so i will let it in there. It was from 2010 to 2022.So long,Small cardboard Titan!

yeah if i had one i would let it sail a few times and then sink it
same, im getting planing for it done by a few friends, it’s honestly a fun expensive.

Not to mention the fact that her speed caused the water to entered even faster.
@UpNorth "allegedly"
Though no one admitted it, there are several evidences that there are ammunitions inside the wreck.
Lusitania didn’t even have watertight doors.
It’s also because of her longitudinal bulkheads, which made her list severely, plus the theorized second explosion
@@IhaveQuit124 yes she did. As I said, her doors were manual, not electric.
Her hull was divided into 12 compartments.

If I was a ship captain I would avoid that pond like the plague given its history. Awesome as always Chloe!
Unless you weren't captain in the cardboard ship, yes, stay away! And preferably sail your ship on the land
I have started making these with my son and we will sink them in my parents pool! 😁
Neat

I didn't see this one coming, maybe we'll get all the most well known ships.
The loss of yet another fine vessel. All that fine hand crafted interior lost to the sea.

How do you make these ships? They are very well made.
A lot of time, effort, stuff like markers or pencils, extra cardboard for other details, and sometimes tape
