4:22 Rick, I think you were right the first time with Australia. SA is South Australia (South Africa would be ZA). VSCC Prescott is always the club's biggest meeting of the year. I was there for the Sunday competitive runs. Great video. Thanks.
Hello Richard . Well that was one for the connoisseur . My goodness, the most fabulous collection of vintage race cars probably in the world . I may have mentioned in a previous video there were 2 Bugatti's at a local show in Exeter recently . The owners said that in the 1970's thier father was a Bristol fan , went to Prescott and immediately sold his Bristols and replaced them with Bugatti's ! I noticed a Black one in your video , that may have been one of them . Thankyou Richard

Ha yes the driver did very well there, my youthful assistant captured the scene on his camera as mine decided to have a flat battery at the wrong moment!!
Another enjoyable video, Rick. The Curtiss aeroengine in the Luxior looks like an OX-5, a 90 HP 8.2 litre unit usually found in the Curtiss JN-4 Jenny aeroplane.

Well done, Rick - the best footage of VSCC Prescott I've seen. Quality! The black Lancia is the 'Steady' Special, built by the famed automobiliste and journalist Ron 'Steady' Barker, who died about 7 yrs ago.

I think you were right the first time about the old dodge being Australian. South Australian. The Dryest state on the Dryest continent on earth and just the place to find old classic cars and trucks. Check out South Australian farm clearance auctions. For great old classic trucks machinery and yes cars. Nice video mate I always enjoy thanks.

A truly astounding display of quality vintage engineering, although I'd feel anxious about travelling in the specials with all that exposed macinery thrashing around. And that supercharger on the R4D ERA between the driver's knees would emasculate the driver if it ever let go!
I agree with your thoughts on vintage conservation and not (over) restoration. They’re only original once… keep the driving! Awesome show, wish we had hill climbs here on the other side of the pond

Fantastic video, a bit off everything you certainly know you cars,I love the Austin 7,s as I had a Nippy in 1959 I was 14yrs old I got it for xmas it cost my parents £5.00,I drove it round a disused air field at Anthorn near Carlisle,it went for scrap in the finish,if you only knew what they would have been worth in later years.!!! The Dodge Brothers worked closely Ely with Ford before beginning to market their own product. Their logo would not have vev appealed to Henry. On the other hand he could put prejudice aside when selecting an archecrecht to develope River Rouge. My neurosurgery proff in med school was that archetect`s very remarkable son.
A friend of mine, his dad had a Bristol and he couldn't understand why whenever he needed to work on it ,it was fairly easy to do with openings enabling easy access then a chap told him it was a car used by the Bristol factory in the Monte Carlo Rally .Is that true?
I believe I saw that all the electric starters, the remote handheld types used in place of the engine crank, seem to be all the same in appearance? Can anyone tell me if these are original (old as the cars) or are they of a modern design? It there a manufacturer name standard to these? Thanks?
Re the Dodge tourer RHD, maybe from Sth Australia. All the states had [ still do] state letters [ NSW, Vic. etc] . Sth Africa had no need to do this.? . Cheers. NZ.
