These are toys for grownups. If I'd seen some of those tiny ones when I was 8, i would have gone nuts . I had a smile on my face thru the whole video . Thanks for showing .
Thank you. I enjoyed that so much. I’m into my fifth year of retirement in Bangkok, Thailand. I like it here very much but I do miss the sights and sounds of those vintage vehicle meets. Thanks again for allowing them into my living room here.
Your videos remind me why I love vintage Race Cars!! Very well done!!!.. I had 4 Spridgets and multiple VW'S back in the 70's and 80's. Lime Rock is a 45 minute drive...
These are many fantastic and beautiful cars, but the one I got hooked on, is the 2-cylinder old slugger with external cam chains and many races behind it.
Brilliant video - SO enjoyable. Nothing like the sound of a well tuned straight six! But I also love those crazy cyclecars - GN's especially. Came across this by accident and have subscribed. Thanks for sharing - Teresa
Super cool video!! I have been assembling a machine shop to support my UA-cam channel that I will be starting with the build of a 1928 Morgan RIP GN special 3 wheeler with 4 wheels. I am using an experimental aircraft opposed twin supercharged engine. This will be mated to an MG 4 speed manual gearbox with a 2 piece hand cast aluminum adapter. This will be connected to an MG differential with beautiful wire wheels. The frame I stood over steel and will have aircraft cloth stretched over and sprayed with plasticizer. This will have a boat tail look and is essentially a 20's airplane without a propeller or wings. There is only one other in existence and Charlie Martin races it in the UK. The next project lined up is the building of a Brooklands style cycle car similar to the Pembleton. This will have a BMW R-100 engine in the front and four wheels with gorgeous leather interior and even space for luggage. I look forward to seeing everyone over at the channel when it gets warm out enough to be in the barn in Pennsylvania .....
A great video, Rick. My first magazine subscription, when I was about 15, was to 'Veteran & Vintage' but I've never been to a VSCC meeting. I really enjoyed the video - thanks! Mike
Hi, it's positioned right at the front of a competing car, and trips the light at the start of a run, and at the end, to record the overall time for that car's run. Thanks for watching.
Was it two Vincent Square four engines in the silver car called Caliban KN IV? I respect the two V-twins in the incredible racing ghost also ... Beautiful beasts all around.
That chain linked double twin might have an interesting problem because you need a way to sync up the engines like you do in a multi engine aircraft. In an aircraft it just causes vibration. On that car, if done for long enough it could snap the link chains due to drag stress off the slower engine and you wouldn't necessarily be able to hear the difference between the two - a difference of 200-300rpm enough to potentially cause a problem.
That was nearly an hour of pure pleasure to watch! Thank you. There were some really beautiful cars out there, and the sound of some of them was music to my ears! When is the 2022 meeting taking place? Assuming this is an annual meeting. I would love to go and spectate this year before I get too decrepit lol
10:14 When the supercharger is larger than the engine, you now there's something wrong. Why not install a turbine engine? These things do exist for some reasons, don't they?
I would have loved to stood on the hill with a speed gun and clocked how fast they were going, then compared it to their overall time to see what their average speed was. I know, a bit of a technical nerd thing.
Thanks for the video. I had to forgo my annual pilgrimage to Loton Park due to other comittments. 🙁 If you noticed the foundations of demolished buildings and brick plinths in the woods alongside the course, these were for the storage of incendiary ammunition and chemical weapons for the USAAF during WW2.

I love the engines in these cars even when they are running well they go Pop Fart Bang Pop Fart Bang…Awesome.
Fantastic to see that most drivers are pushing the vehicles. That's what they were made for!
Loved watching these beautiful machines. Thank you so much for sharing your day and for the excellent video footage.
These are toys for grownups. If I'd seen some of those tiny ones when I was 8, i would have gone nuts . I had a smile on my face thru the whole video . Thanks for showing .
I don't know much about these kinds of cars but I love all automobiles. Lovely piece of filming

Love the pre war era racing/ sports cars.
Agreed they're a lot of fun to watch (and smell!)
Great video, I watched it late at night, and I swear I could smell the Castrol R.
What a great variety of machines. No. 160 looked like it had been stripped of anything that wasn't needed for racing. Thanks for sharing.
Yes if it doesn't make a car safer, it comes off
@@oldclassiccarUK some of those old cars really turn some rpm and get moving pretty darn quick, had to be unbelievable back then.
22:23 Wééééééééééééééééééé (the supercharger's sound) is very cool ^^
Thanks for posting very interesting some real contraptions!
It is so nice to see what appeared to be ERA R1A (the first ERA) back out again!
It's nice to see old car's reach their final form of modifications.

Well done. A fabulous piece of filming. High quality images with minimal voice over. A real pleasure to watch. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback! glad you liked it
Such beautifully burbling exhausts!
They are!

Ok, thanks but no more blatant promo please
How lucky are those in the northern hemisphere to have these cars still running.
Loved the way you were pointing things out with a sausage.
Could have been worse!
Great video! Thanks for doing this one. I also appreciate your comments on the car makes and models. Always fun to watch the old stuff in anger.
Thanks Tom, hope to be able to make similar vids this year when things start happening again
WOW, what a great day out that must have been. Fantastic video - obviously ! Thanks :-)
Yeah it was a lot of fun, nice and laid back, plenty of interesting machinery etc

Thanks for watching it Mike 😀
Love the Model A Ford single seater at 8:20.
Green wheelie had me
What is the verical blade attached to the front of the cars?

Yes they have to synch them correctly, not only firing wise but carburation etc

Hi I’m at Prescott right now testing something
Sounds good, had planned to head down to Prescott but other things got in the way :-/
What is that little gem at 34:55 ? #163
If I find my programme I'll check for you
@@oldclassiccarUK Cheers, Thank you.
Car 163 is the GN/AC Rabelro, the Rabelro being I think the reverse of its creator's surname, Orlebar (from memory, may be wrong)
What's the black flag/blade type thing on the front of the cars for?
It triggers the timing beams at the start and end of a timed run up the hill, to calculate the time taken.
❤️
I am now subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
Why the narrow rear track on many vehicles? No differentials? (I enjoyed it!)
Yes I think that is the case
10:14 When the supercharger is larger than the engine, you now there's something wrong. Why not install a turbine engine? These things do exist for some reasons, don't they?
All the parts have to be correct for the period, thanks for watching
In reply to your other note, VSCC is just an abbreviation for the Vintage Sports Car Club
6・22見て水平対向2気筒OHVエンジンで良いんじゃないかと思った。パブリカみたいな。ミッションも2CVみたいなのとか。
@14:25 is he calculating carbon tax ?

Hey, not a 4-door pickup to be seen anywhere...where is this bizaroland...😏
I didn't spend much time around the public car parks :-)
Nice car but bad filming......
My humblest apologies
@@oldclassiccarUK no problem. Regards from Romania !

Thanks :-)
