This is the best exhaust note for the golf r. I've been watching numerous clips trying to find the right exhaust. Every Remus clip sounds good! Have you noticed any gains in the butt dyno department? Can you feel a difference?
Thanks, this was all part of my Stage 2 project, so the Remus was fitted at the same time as the RacingLine Stage 2 map + downpipe and FMIC. Difficult for me to judge if the Remus made any increase in power on its own..,,but it sure does sound good! 😎
Hi Nick, I’ve had this setup for over 2 years now and still love it! No issues at all with mating the Milltek downpipe to the Remus, both 3”. Cheers. Trev
@@MouldyPIX Thank you so much for responding. You wouldn't know the SKU#: part number to the miltek downpipe you got? As there is a few different varieties on there website. Thanks Trevor 🙂
@@MouldyPIX Also how did the milltek downpipe mate up to the remus exhaust? No fitment issues? Might go with this exact exhaust setup! HJS cat or just regular 200 cell sport cat. sounds great. any other vids of it?
Hi, I’ve found that Stage 2 is the real sweet spot for the Golf R. After I made this video I went Stage 3 (with a LITTCO L450 hybrid turbo - 480bhp), but I only ran it for 10 months before reverting back to Racingline Stage 2. Although the top end power with Stage 3 is awesome (and I’m glad I tried it!), I had to admit to myself that the car was in fact better (overall) as a Stage 2. Both Stage 2 and Stage 3 have been 100% reliable, no problems at all for me, however I’ve always halved my service intervals for oil/filter changes etc.
@@MouldyPIX Yes, that's the problem I have with the straight middle part, it sounds too loud. I have to install the Remus resonator. Thanks for answering
Hi Jeruel, no droning noises at all, just that deep bass exhaust note which has been tuned expertly by Remus. I’ve had it for well over a year now and still love it..👌
Should also mention it’s stage 2 so wouldn’t be using stock down pipe which would drastically change sound so take that into consideration before buying resonated because you won’t get same results if you are on stock down pipe.
Very much a personal choice bud, for me being in the slightly older category of driver!, the droning would just be unacceptable for me. If you pair the Remus resonated version with a good tune (I have RacingLine Stage 2) then there’s still enough pops/bangs on the upshifts and overruns to bring a smile..
@@MouldyPIX Thanks! Yeah I have tinnitus so i'm still figuring out what to do. You still seem to have the low frequencies even though you still have a resonator, so I think i'm going with that choice too. Do you still have catalyst? Thanks dude
Looks like I’m getting the same system then 😅🔥
I’m sure you won’t be disappointed 👌👌👍
This is resonated??? So no drone on highway??? Damn that's a nice sound 🔊🎵👌
Welp, I now know what exhaust I'll be getting, bring on next year!!

Any drone in the car?
I also want to know this... Thinking about the same setup, i just need to know this ahaha
It is a good sound ♪
Is the remote control a round type?
No remote control, just part of the map.
Love the remus exhaust! How did it mate up with the miltek downpipe? Was there any issues?
I want to do the same set up.

@@nickmalliaras4817 sorry Nick. It was a few years ago now and my RacingLine dealer sorted it for me.
Niceeee
I notice as well that the car is from Inchape, are you by any chance based locally to there?
…well spotted! I bought it from Inchcape Twickenham, but I don’t live near there… 👌
i'm thinking of going remus, sounds awesome. would you say resonated or non res?
Very personal choice, but I’ve gone the resonated route..and I don’t regret it! 😉
If you’re going stage 2 I’d suggest resonated if you’re on stock downpipe get nonres
what rims are those. perfection
Thanks Tim, they’re Neuspeed RSe102’s, originally supplied as matt bronze, but I had them resprayed in Gloss Bronze..👌

Hi Trevor, what do you think about this stage 2 tune? Been reliable? Also the pops and bangs are only working in race mode right? Thank you!

Hello. Does the car have a Remus sports intermediate resonator or is it straight pipe? Thanks
Yes this is the fully resonated version. Remus also do a non-resonated version, but they was too loud and droney for me..

hey Trevor, does this setup have a cat as well ? or just resonated?
Yes it has a Milltek Sports Cat downpipe..
Do you have the pops and bangs added to your tune?
Came as standard with RacingLine OEM+ Stage 2...

So this is resonated? and is the just a back box?
D A .. yes it is resonated and it’s a full system..👌
Trevor Mould cheers buddy, will be looking in to this.... sounds really good, not over the top either.
Does it have gpf opf?
No it doesn’t Sami, mine is an early 2018 model, with the 310PS engine version.
Is the dag tuned as well? Sounds good!
Nicolai Neess did you mean the DSG? If so then yes it has a RacingLine TCU tune..helps with the pops/bangs..! 😄
