    What are the Different CEFR Levels?
    The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, often referred to as CEFR or CEFRL, is an international standard for working out your ability within a language. It was established by the Council of Europe and aims to validate language ability.
    The six levels within the CEFR are A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. With these levels, you can easily work out your ability in around 40 different languages.
    The levels are often used casually by language learners to explain their ability at speaking, reading, writing and understanding a language. But there are also exams and certificates available to those who want to make
    their level official.
    Let’s first take a look at what the different levels are and what’s possible for you at each level.

    These are my favorite format videos of yours, I could definitely use more a1-a2 type levels, but I'm thankful for what you give me. Only Finnish comprehensible input on UA-cam, you're awesome

    Thank you for making these videos! I feel like I am getting about 75% meaning after I listen a couple of times but then not using the captioning. I am trying a new strategy, which is to focus (especially for verbs) on getting whatever meaning I can out of the first two syllables of the word.....for example, If I hear "ha-lut" something is wanted. If I hear " kav-el" then there is walking involved. If I hear "sy-o" then eating is involved. I want to get my brain to quickly steer to the general topic and then I will try to fill in the endings later after I get a general picture of what is in the conversations. Trying to remember 24 different forms of the verb is too hard right now. The word "ju-o" could involve either drinking or running, but I think I will be able to work through that. I will let you know how this strategy works out!

    (6:50 - 7:00) you mention "kirjoitan kirjeen rakkaalleni" probably as "I write a letter to my love", but I cannot find the word rakkaalleni. What I *can* find is the word rakas where the possessive form is "rakkaani". Is that what you meant? Or did you take the allative of rakas (rakkaalle) and add -ni to make rakkaalleni? Is this a standard way of doing it? Or is it puhekieli?

    • @EasyFinnish
      @EasyFinnish  4 роки тому +2

      Hi! Absolutely brilliant question, thanks! It is "rakkaalle" but -ni ending is added in spoken language. The both are correct to use, but perhaps if you take a Finnish language exam then "rakkaalle" form is to better use.

    • @AJBonnema
      @AJBonnema 4 роки тому +1

      @@EasyFinnish Thanks! That clarifies things. My impression from the YKI exam is that they allow for puhekieli, explicitly. I do expect there to be language course where you should adhere for standard Finnish only. Thanks for the pointers!

    At 9:40 you ask "Haluisitko lähtee mun kaa ravintolaan tai kahvilaan tänä iltana?". The word "kaa" doesn"t mean anything to me. Is it puhekieli? Or just a new word?
    P.S. It turns out, I only had one question. Although I did think tykkäysnappia might be a typo? What I found was tykkää nappia (push button). Of course, it might be puhekieli, in which case I will not find it in wiktionary.

    A very useful video, thank you. You show the same sentences with different word orders. I am assuming changing the word order does not change the meaning: is that right?

    There were couple of subtitles translated into English. Could you please translate them all? The same way: like Finnish+English at two lines one above the other.

    • @AJBonnema
      @AJBonnema 4 роки тому +2

      I like following along especially the Finnish spelling. Having English+Finnish is *very* confusing for me. What might help you is having a separate English translation. That way you and I both get what we want. P.s. if you progress in Finnish, you might no longer need English, and the Finnish spelling will help you improve reading and writing.
