This was great! I was able to understand about 75% of it without subtitles. The speed of speech is perfect and I wish more A1 videos were like this. Большое спасибо!
Wow it's impressive that you keep track of all the words you listened in order to assess how many you know. I can't be so methodic to try to write them down. Interesting!
🙂 in Italia questa storia è conosciuta come "Riccioli d'oro e i tre orsi". Sono contenta di aver trovato questo canale, ho studiato tanta grammatica russa ma non ho mai avuto occasione di ascoltare qualcosa di comprensibile che non fossero frasi da esercizio. Mi piacciono i tuoi video. Saluti dall'Italia.
Seconded, the speed of speech is really helpful. I am also trying to learn Turkish and have found a couple of UA-cam channels where the speakers repeat words and phrases several times. With Turkish the speed isn't a problem, but the language is quite 'alien' at first. All those suffixes... Russian and Romanian speakers on the other hand, they go so fast... I actually walked past a former Russian colleague this morning without recognising him even though he said 'hello' (I am suffering from sciatica, so I wasn't exactly paying attention), I do hope I will run into him again in the coming weeks.
As a polyglot, let me tell you, I've looked at many A1 comprehensible input videos for many different languages. You're tied with a korean teacher for the best comprehensible input storyteller that i know of so far. 10/10. You're an example that more teachers should follow
If you ever want to try Norwegian have a look at Norsklærer Karense her channel is amazing. Or if you have already know about her I would love to know your opinion on her

Do you know other languages or is this the first time you’re learning a new one? I’m 46, and just teaching myself Russian. I really like it. I am caught between French and Spanish as well, but I’ll start those later.
You're such a good storyteller. It makes it so much easier to learn the vocabulary and to build your confidence! Thank you so much for what you're doing for us!

I've only been learning russian seriously for about 5 months but was able to understand 90% of story. It's funny to think back to Goldilocks ( Маша) and the three медведи and how I know less Russian than a 3 year old would! Thanks 👍😊
in your defence you've been learning for 5 months, whereas the 3 year old has been learning for... 3 years :D people often forget just how much free time children spend learning versus how much adults can afford to - unless you are a senile old man with a falling apart brain, age is not the deciding factor, it's simple time investment ^^ if you study for 15 mins you will never learn as well as someone who spends hours and hours
Children spend their whole time listening and observing and understand so much before they even start to speak. Listen listen and listen and for us adults, the short stories are excellent.
Perfect story telling on a true A1 level. This is a so great, and there is not much material on this very basic level out there. A lot of other videos that call themselves basic, really are not. It takes a lot of awareness by a native speaker to be able to reduce their own speech down to what an A1 student can and should know. This is excellently done here. And I just noticed that you provided a Russian transcript too, which is wonderful. This way, I can make sure to write down all the vocabulary words that are new for me, and practice the phrases, in which those words are used. Thank you very much for this great content.

I have been learning russian for about 3 months now with duolingo but i started integrating your videos early because i think it is very important to hear a native speaker and also have context to the words. I saw a video yesterday on scientific aproach to language learning and they said it is very important to have a context. For example to see the pictures of a bear or the girl masha. Also you act out the story which makes me understand it without subtitles and without knowing all the words. Thank you alot for your work. I believe your videos are perfect for learning the russian language. Atm it must be hard times for all russian people. Lots of love for you from germany

I absolutely exploded in excitement when I finally understood my first sentence in Russian. "and when Masha is walking in the woods" - awesome Now I mean no offense because these videos are extremely helpful for learning a language but I just find it hilarious as I am watching this with the most intense expression of interest, perplexity and confusion, whilst desperately scribbling down words and phrases that I can identify and remember from previous lessons, while this man talks to me like I am a literal 2 year old. I love it
