Thanks for the tutorial! Some of the differences in the latest code are: You can no longer use a Hadron for the hurry-up at the beginning of Orb MB, you must actually hit the locked ball. Another is that bonus is greatly affected by the modes that are completed. Bonus is finally worth something! Another thing is Hadron Enforcer still gives you three smart bombs, but you have to use those three before you can earn another three. In the older code these could stack, so you could have 3,6,9 etc. and it was way too easy to collect jackpots and supers with the smart bombs. One more thing is that Orb and Groot have been balanced quite a bit. Orb is still worth more, but Groot is certainly worth playing for points now as well. GOTG is a MUCH better game than when it was first released.
Thanks so much for doing these! For you to make literally hundreds of accurate shots and then get stuffed with a just a couple orbits to go, the disappointment was palpable. Great game, and another valuable tutorial. I've learned so much from watching your games. Thank you for what you do for the pinball community!
Amazing game! Your tutorial are always great! They just got this pin at an arcade near me ( but damn they got rid of KISS :( ... ). Played a few of this one and it might be one i will try more and more, just knowing i can start a game with a multiball is great! :) .
It's a shame this code version was out during the filming of this tutorial. The game plays so much different now. Still, great stuff Papa folks and Bowen, thank you.
Thanks so much for the tutorial (and showing me I have a lot to learn). I was given this game as a gift in late June (Guardians Limited Edition). I noticed that some of our game play is different. Mainly... I don't start with a multi ball on Quills Quest and after the time ends on Sanctuary, next lit ramp I hit wins the objective. There are also some visual differences in the video play. I don't see that orbit screen you had when you finished an objective... Is this a software version difference, a LE difference, or something else. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
I play this table as it is 2€ for 3 credits in a place near my house. But there is something strange, the right sinkhole ALWAYS return the ball to the center of the flippers so there's no way you can save it... Maybe one o two lucky bounces in all the times I have played this. Maybe the angle can be configured and they put it that way to get more money? I don't know but is frustrating playing to evade that sinkhole and when it happen you know is a lose ball even with a hard nudge.
If the owner has contact information on the machine, it's perfectly okay to call or message them and let them know how much you enjoy playing Guardians and that you would appreciate some attention to that scoop.
I generally really like Bowen's tutorials but this one seemed a little off. There seemed to be way too much going on at any one time for Bowen to really explain what he was attempting to do. Normally Bowen explains a mode and sometimes the production staff will even illustrate what shots need to be hit. That was definitely not this video. Still, his skill and humor shine through even if this was more a play-through and less of a tutorial.
I'm seriously grateful for this tutorial, now it means I don't need to pump quarters into here to learn what to do in tournaments :// Props to bowen but this entire game looks like a complete snoozefest.
GatoDelFuego I played Stern Star Wars at a convention a year ago, and this looks to be about the same thing. If Data East made a great Star Wars, which was under Gary Stern, why couldn't they reignite the flame for that one?
Can we talk about how this guy is playing and explaining the game at the same time FOR ALMOST AN HOUR.
"There's some kind of important shot now that I don't understand..." Yep, sounds like any Stern released in the last 5 yrs.

This video helped me realize that the Groot in the machine where I work is broken. Thanks!
At least the tutorials help you in some way
A near hour long Guardians tutorial AND a Raiders of the Lost Ark reference. What a Tuesday.
thank you for all the explanation while doing a great play. You really have a great ball control ! GG
Truly amazing
Great tutorial!
"We don't really care about points, we care about saving the ball, and I guess not."

That Quills Quest tip was very helpful to me too!
Seems like PAPA is improving their production quality ? I'm loving the better cameras and fancy gradient split screen action like at 15:31!
I like your new look. Cool style.
Must be a woman's touch! :D
Fantastic !!!

17:09 the next minute or so is some of the best playing you'll ever see 18:17 frickin a
Thanks for another great tutorial, Bowen!. Is it too early to cast a vote for an ACNC video??
1min
Fun fact: the upgraded version of sibling is the only mode that doesn’t always have the character shot lit
Great table, lots of fun and in my opinion the best Stern table.
It is a good Stern, but if you are looking for the best Borg game, play Turtles...
You are so awesome
"What happened was..." --THIS GUY JUST BACKED OUT OF A DEAL ON ME!
Great tutorial on a new game.
Thanks so much for the tutorial (and showing me I have a lot to learn).

It sounds like you need to update your software. Stern Pinball's website can help you with that.
Why must Stern continue to use that horrible screeching noise as a knocker replacement?
It's so annoying that sound
What do you mean?
@@trickytreyperfected1482 When he gets the Replay it goes "SKOOOK!" really loud. Used to be a physical knocker that would thump the cabinet.
Some times my flippers don’t move after a new ball is released. Why is that?
I heard that if you put the 3 marbles back in the lock in the Groot multiball, it will start the multiball in a newer mode. Is this true??

This code is really outdated. Groot is worth more and the bonus change can reward in excess of 100mil now.
Collared shirt and black rimmed glasses? Looking sharp AJK!!!
9:26 South Park: the Movie reference? ;)
I think you should play Iron Maiden next
I have that same machine, and my best is 290 million...i might need some practice.
6:18 But Groot MB can easily be worth 100,000 points, if you keep hitting Groot. Maybe that wasn't the case in the old code.
I got 397 million in total after the cherry bomb which gave me 88 million! I feel like getting a lot more but I’m not so good at aiming.
This is really old code, the game plays very different now.
OMG.... nearly vdo game every year
35:24 Use your hard ons ... err hadrons ....... :)
Random dramatic zoom at 27:15 was random.
Lmao
Lol got 208mil on my Groot multiball during my PB game. Only 601mil, but I'm getting there

Which pinball machine is better lord of the rings or Indiana Jones?
Lord of the rings
Roy Steeghs lord of the rings by a landslide.
Am i the only one here who thinks that the sound on GOTG is very unclear?? I can only understand 60s of what the characters are saying!!
This game is a lot like Metallica.
Kyllununun
The play field looks like lord of the ring
How does this looks like Lord of the rings??
Is this Stern? This looks pretty lazy and uninteresting.
It is Stern, I played it and it was actually a blast, a lot more fun than it looks when just watching from a video

Yep, they are good at reskinning the same 3 designs and cranking out the clunk-fests
This game doesn't feel anything like Star Wars to me other than the sci-fi theme. If anything, it has a similar style gameplay to Aerosmith.
look different ?? you lost weight?? whats different
LCD monitors looks terrible. not because of LCD - but because the graphic animations and style look so cheap they belong in a pub juke box.
