This is absolutely one of the Greatest Pinball Machines ever!!!!!! Set up my way with pinwoofer/polk audio external bass, stronger flipper coils, max tilt, nothing comes close to this excellent pinball machine
I'm still enjoying my Guaridans I bought from you. I had to raise the rating after playing it for a couple months now. It was kicking my butt when I was just starting pinball earlier this year, but now I'm able to hit the ramps easier and get some great flow on it. Definitely the toughest of the 3 machines I own. Yea I like a game on the extreme end that Iron Man represents as opposed to the other extreme represented in the Hobbit. Fast, short, ass-kicking battles keep me coming back to try and beat the previous go.
I'm back from family holiday and catching up with SDTM! All of your points are fair but I have an issue with the call-outs. My problem (and that is meant literally as it is MY problem and not the game or Stern) is the voice acting. I'm such a fan of the franchise and the movie that the voices distract me because I want to hear Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and all the other actors. I understand that licensing actual original content is expensive and time consuming, I just wish it was a possibility for this game as it would put it in a whole new level for me. Thanks again for the great video guys! I'm glad you are able to continue and wish you the best in 2018 and beyond!!

Nice review. I like that you actually had the game to show in your video, and waited until you had a decent number of plays on it before you did your review. I feel like a lot of podcast "reviews" out there are just people who played it a couple times on location and parrot what they read on pinside and you got well beyond that. I was starting to think your tastes were out of line with mine due to your opinions on SW and BM66. I've got about 150 plays on my GotG and agree with most of what you said. Not a huge fan of the aftermarket bright purple lighting on your example of this game. It is not a dark game and these lights reflect of the ramps and playfield and seem more distracting than helpful.
Dan Yatchyshyn first approach is just to try to hit the lit shots, get your shots down. Groot all day for points but that’s no fun. Try starting a mode then starting Groot multiball. Scoop during Groot MB to add a ball. Action button during multiball for jackpots. Have fun man and don’t try too hard at mastering it
Hey guys, great job. I am slightly conflicted on GOTG. I own two Sterns and love them, so I am not a hater at all. I love the theme, I would just like to see some innovation and slightly more "outside the box" thinking. I see a lot of similarity in bash toys, ramp placement and shots to their other pins in this one. I am hoping the code will continue to get better and I am certain it will based on the gems that Metallica and TWD have become. This machine will probably warrant a revisit in a year or two for sure. Oh, and Ribeye for the win. (Jason F in STL)
Makin it Drain Jason man I think you are on the money. Nothing outside of the box, code will be pedestrian but solid. Will be a solid game but nothing fresh. The art and theme are the selling points to this pin.
GotG has soo many things from Iron Man, the shots are soo same, but there is not much talking about that. i dont understand, its like just the same pin with an other theme

Just my opinion but to me the code is still a mess and there really isn’t anything innovative on that pf at all. An A- for toys and innovation??? Come on Zach :) The buffalo pinball review to me anyway is more realistic and closer to the mark imo, but hey I know how much you guys love your pinball. Keep up the great videos. I may even get this title one day but it has a long way to go with code before I consider it. Have a closer look again at some past Stern titles like csi, 24, and even potc, now there’s what innovation once looked like at Stern. this is a cut and paste, not paying out on Borg I’m sure he’s got a job to do with limited time from the powers that be.

Had to like just for the "most ball eaters are" comment. Looks like a definite solid game for Stern. Definitely not in the Star Wars vein. As much as I don't really like Hobbit, seeing those LCD graphics just says JJP is far far ahead of Stern's approach. There is still something lacking in that area.

Trying to be helpful to up your views - note I am not a professional youtuber, I just enjoy watching. I have been looking for pinball reviews that are short, clear and helpful. I might suggest that your videos are waaaayyyy too long. Try to do it in less than 10 or make a quick version. Also, watch your videos; you include far too many pauses, ahhs and umms. Your arguing about plastic protectors is just a waste of time. Your individual time on camera is not helpful particularly your bs back and forth and talking about steak is just plain dumb to irritating (around 12:30 on). Just sucks up time and makes me click away; I actually couldn't watch past 13:00. The video is about the game, not yourselves. Try a fast set of pics explaining the playfield and modes. Then do some clips of game play with just the best shots. Your title includes the word "review." Ask yourself how many people would watch movie reviews that lasted longer than the movie? No one. The only reason I wrote this is because I can't find concise reviews. If someone else were already doing these, I wouldn't do this. Maybe I am wrong. Good luck.
A strict review is not what the show is about. We set out to make a show that was fun and that we had a good time doing. We do realize our humor is not for every one just like most things in life, but a lot of people have found a connection to our BS. Thanks for watching and happy collecting

I like this pin. The music is good. The modes are good. Although it's a drain, I still love to own my own game.
